Lovely home cook food. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and great ambience. Great little restaurant run by two lovely ladies. We will definitely be back.
Food was really great and staff were lovely! Just off the main strip so was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle. Will definitely be going back.
Amazing small restaurant run by very kind people. Ordered Briyani and to my surprise the portion was too good probably the best of all places around. They sure serve a quantity that will fill your tummy and of course it was yummy.
Came here with a group of friends on a Saturday night and we loved it.
This is a very cozy restaurant with a lovely ambience and great decor.
The staff that also work here are very nice and extremely accommodating.
My favourite dish was the honey special.
Will be back.
Honey restaurant serves Authentic Persian food at reasonable prices. There are various options of lamb/chicken which are mostly served with rice or naan. They serve a complimentary salad for the most dishes and it is wonderful.
Overall, it is a hidden gem in the city.
The food here is super tasty and quite filling.
The servings are nice and generous and the service is also pretty good.
Waiters are attentive and the food comes out quite quickly.
The place isn't too big so if it's packed, it's hard to get a seat.
Nice little place to go for lunch.
Tried this restaurant from the zomato cheap eats collection as we were well trying to eat cheap. Best decision ever! The issue I had with some other Persian restaurants is that everything seemed dry. But the lamb we ordered were amazingly juicy and succulent. The amount of food was really good compared to the price. We paid $31 for 2 people for the food that can be seen in the photos. The location is a bit hidden but this place is a must try if you love Persian.
Nestled at a corner on The Other Side of Parramatta is Honey Restaurant, a Persian joint serving what feels like a home cooked meal. The prices are as affordable as you can get in Parramatta, in which Honey sits just a street away from Church St, a stretch of road packed full with oftentimes expensive chain restaurants and a bustling nightlife to match.
We walked in at lunch time and it was very much empty save for a couple tables. A friendly woman greeted us and sat us down at a narrow wooden table that seemed carefully arranged with heart. As it was my first time here, it seemed fitting to order the Honey Special which includes 3 of their meats- chicken, lamb mince and lamb fillet- so you could try one of everything.
In short, the Honey Special was excellent. Each meat was splendidly succulent and tender. I had a hard time deciding which was my favourite as each had a distinct taste and texture. And the saffron rice - life changing. This was my first foray into flavoured rice, and as someone who has had plain jasmine rice for as long as I had teeth, it just opened up new horizons for me. If you have a small stomach like me, then the Honey Special can be easily shared between two. We also got a side of Kashk E Bademjan (not pictured), a lovely eggplant dip filled with herbs and spices.
This little place is located in a quiet street in parramatta. The service is top notch as you will be greeted with warm welcomes from a guy. The food is so good and for the price, I can't fault anything about it. I loved the pomengranate in the rice, first time to try it and loved it. The chicken was very tender. I would definitely come back. Pity that the location isn't on a busy road, otherwise I think they would be very successful.
The honey special was awesome. The lamb mince was so succulent! Very cheap place and hidden away. We will definately be returning!............
This is a no frills restaurant with some really nice food. If you are going here for the ambience then you will be disappointed but the food is awesome. The sheesh, chicken and lamb cutlets are all very flavourful and amongst the best I have had. Highly recommend the lamb shank as well. One star docked as price is probably 20% higher than what it should be given location, ambience etc.
Staff here make you feel home. They are very friendly and provided great service.
Chicken Biryani, chicken and lamb kebab and Ghormeh Sabzi and Kashk E Bademjan an eggplant dish was really tasty.
Persian cuisine felt perfect for the level of spices in them.
Chicken Biryani was super tasty with flavoured rice. Ghormeh sabzi was tasty with lamb and dried lemon in it.
Excellent family run business. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating. They're willing to give recommendations, if you're not familiar with Persian food. The babaganoush was delicious. We were also given a complimentary appetizer. We ordered the Persian tea, as well. It was a very spicy concoction. Lovely and warning on a cold night. The food was quickly delivered and the prices are very reasonable.
Very good place for Iranian/Persian food. Though they offer some Indian cuisines as well which I did not like. But the persian items are pure persian and taste really good. The quality and aroma is also authentic.
Ambiencd is very good comparing other restaurants which cant even put good chairs in.
Though the recent comments are negative, my partner and I had a some great tasting food!! Was not too busy for a Saturday night - only 8 people including us two out of the 45 available seats.
Food didn’t come with side dips, bread or salad like Kabul house in Merrylands and was the same price, however, the food we had was delicious!
I did have high expectations but it was delicious, I thought the rice and lamb would be great, but the chicken flavours blew my mind and the service was wonderful. Totally recommend. Sorry I started eaten when I took the pic. It was delicious
