Review Chefs Gallery - Parramatta

Been here twice. The place is spacious and offers nice noodles plus other dishes. The hand made noodle dishes are the best here. But I feel the service is bit blend and minimal. We walked in with a baby but they never really notice nor ask us for a high chair, although they did ask us to leave our pram by the front door.

We went to Chef's Gallery on new years day for lunch. There weren't many places open but Chefs Gallery was. The flavours were nice and were almost on point. We ordered Peking duck roti, salt and pepper calamari and Tom Yum chicken fried rice. The serving sizes are quite large so we got some take away container and ate the rest of the food later on that night.

The food at chef’s gallery is spectacular. I’ve been multiple times and have always been impressed by the efficiency and flavours of the meal. The menu is extremely extensive and all dishes are presented beautifully. The service is minimal, but the waiters are professional and well mannered, and prices are very very reasonable for the quality.

I’ve been here so many times and had wonderful experiences. The food were always on point and very tasty! Our personal favourite were the lobster noodle the Wagyu tataki and the abalone soup. Really love the whole ambience of the restaurant too.

4⭐️ Great place Lots of varieties, specially for vegetarians. Food was so delicious for the price $$ Every dish was presented quite well. Love to see and love to eat. I can compromise service if food tastes delish. Can visit again….

Great value lunch specials, attentive service. Ordered the beef brisket with handmade noodles and chili. Was spicy and tasty but the beef had a lot of gristle in it.

First time coming to eat at Chef's Gallery. Extensive menu amd selection of traditional Chinese fare. Xiao long bao are not as good as some I have had, and unfortunately, their pot stickers was way below par (dipping sauce was not that great). I was happy with the rest of our food, which was good (beans, snow pea, har gow, pork buns). Service was OK. I think they might be a little under-staffed, as tables filled up at 13:00 and people were waiting for service. I might go back, since the menu is extensive but they will need to pick up their service game since people are now going out to restaurants in large numbers. Not good to drop your service game when it's busy.

We ordered the Chinese New Year Banquet. Staff were not aware we had pre-booked the set menu despite informing them when we booked. Food came out promptly and in large servings which was definitely enough for 4-6 people as stated on the set menu. Meals were tasty and good value for 6 dishes at $288. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. After eating, staff cleaned the table promptly. A bit disappointed with the fruit platter, which had only watermelon slices and wedges of orange (sliced inconveniently). Staff did not give us plates for the fruit platter. The elderflower cocktail was good value and well presented, the green and jasmine teas were also good value served in tall glasses. Overall we had a good experience and would be willing to come again, however the service could use some improvements.

Very disappointed with the new menu after lockdown occurred. I regularly visited Chef’s Gallery and ordered a plethora of different dishes. I had even recommended it to friends from overseas when they came to visit, but this was prior to the new “improved” dishes. The first picture is the Dan Dan Noodles before (from my second most recent visit) and the second picture is the Dan Dan Noodles dish I was served today. The soup was less thick and rich, I’m assuming more stock was added, and there was no peanut butter flavour that I had been craving for months. The noodles were definitely still up to standard, very bouncy as usual. I had ordered this dish with the side of the Fried pork chop and I can honestly say, this was the best item on the table today. The next photo is the Spicy Beef Brisket Noodles which I have had prior to today and the recipe had changed too. There was more of the sauce/soup and it was also less thick yet again. The beef itself was cooked well however it tasted gamey, almost like goat or lamb. Overall, the improvements made over the period that the restaurant was temporarily closed were definitely not improvements but instead damaging to the quality that was previously set. That being said, new patrons wanting to try out a new asian restaurant, this is definitely the place for you, with the various dishes and you can decide for yourself if they are suited for your palate :)

I love coming to Chefs Gallery whenever I’m in the mood for authentic handmade/hand pulled noodles. The wonton soup noodles are delicious and meaty. The chicken bone broth noodles are light and healthy. The Singaporean noodles are filled with aromatic curry flavours. My favourite dish is the duck roti though. It’s a must.

Fantastic Chinese restaurant that only serve high quality handmade noodles & dumplings. It’s the only gallery I’m happy to visit. Their strength is in the handmade noodles. Fried rice is also great and although they make decent dumplings, they aren’t as good as the best dumpling joints in Sydney. I give this place 4 bears

Food is always great here. Service is prompt and smooth. I love coming to chefs gallery with my friends

Chefs Gallery is great for large family dinners. Reasonably priced and a big varied menu to suit different tastes. Most of the dishes are flavour packed and all cooked perfectly

Dissapointed with the taste. Ordered Kailang which was simply boiled and served. When asked for basic seasonings like seasme oil or garlic cloves, the waiter said they don't have. Now came the crab which smelled half rotten. And lastly the fried beef dices were served without any seasoning in the meat. Could smell and taste boiled beef dices. It hurst severely when compared against the prices.

Raised to 2 star because of the dessert. No complaints against the dessert.

Based on reviews and word of mouth I thought to give this restaurant a go.

Great food!! Ordered a number of dishes each cooked perfectly with different flavours
not oily or greasy! Cooked perfectly.

Must try their hand made noodles and duck with lychee!!

Location in Parramatta is central free parking at wesfields.

Price is reasonablw approx $40pp.
BYO $10 per bottle.

One of my fav place for Chinese cuisine around parra area. All time favorite dish is the spicy beef dry noodle. The noodle tastes just like the one I have at my hometown. The beef was tender and well seasoned. Try their spinach noodle as well!

It was a pretty alright meal - the spicy wonton, Peking duck roti and pan fried dumplings were good. It had nice flavour but every dish was cold ?? which I don’t understand considering the wait time for food took very long.. it was over half an hour and we only got 2/4 dishes.

The dan dan noodles were really nice at first. The noodles were nicely cooked and had a good bite but after a while it just got too rich we could barely finish it.

The only disappointing thing was the piggy sesame buns, they were not available and I’ve been to chefs gallery twice now and it’s been unavailable every time. I guess I should ask before I sit down next time.

Overall good meal - won’t get the Dan Dan noodles again and hopefully everything would come out in a decent time (and not cold).

Chefs Gallery
So let me begin by saying that no matter what, I will never develop the taste for authentic Chinese food. This place serves the authentic Chinese food and so I obviously didnt fancy the taste much. The same kind of food one gets in China( I have been there). So I opted for the power lunch which has chicken. Sad part was the soup had beef and they didn't have vegan or vegetarian or chicken soup. Like why. The chicken dish was good. Steam rice was well just steam rice . The mango dessert was good , Spring roll was okay. I didn't have the veggies as it was actually just green . So yeah 1 star less as they didn't have vegan soup. 4 star as it's authentic Chinese. Will I eat there again. Perhaps not. Should you go and eat here? Yes, if you like Chinese food.

Love chefs gallery in the CBD and Macquarie, but for some reason, the Parramatta one is just not up to scratch!

We ordered pot stickers and they are usually crispier but they were soggy and needed a few more minutes on the pan.

The fried rice was also a bit soggy and not fried all the way through, one of my favourite dishes normally, but sadly we left the plate almost full.

Overall, it was edible, but perhaps the wrong chef was working that day...

Went here with my boyfriend for an early dinner and we were happy with the menu selection. We were both hungry so we ordered the dimsim platter (DS01) wagyu beef (MD09), fried rice with beef (FR07) and spinach tofu (V04). He had wine, I had the Shangria (must try!) We were both very happy with the quality of the food and we weren't super full by the end of the meal but also not hungry. There was enough food for both of us but that meant we didn't have enough room for dessert. I would've given an additional star but I think it was too pricey for the quantity of food. Also, by the end of the night, we both experienced stomach discomfort and it might have been from food poisoning.
I would come again to try other the other food in the menu, but I'd steer clear from the dimsim probably.
Tortuguita Comiendo
Really delicious pot stickers with delicate outter skin and great tasting filings of pork.

The handmade noodles were cooked perfectly with a bit of bite to them. Topped with the flavoursome beef it was perfect.

The lamb roti was nice but I found there were too many spices which was very evident when you have the contrast of the other delicate flavours.
Josie
Asian fusion at its best with a twist on the your classic Chinese restaurant and cuisine. The menu is very fun to try some different approaches on chinese!

Came here for lunch on a Tuesday. The restaurant itself is neat and clean. There is ample seating however the tables were small. It isn't efficient when ordering 4 dishes to have everything tightly squeezed together. There is an extensive menu with a lot of variety. Staff were prompt and friendly. We ordered the prawn and pork wontons ($10.90), the peking duck in the chinese roti ($18.90), fried rice with prawns ($17.90) and the pan fried pot stickers ($14.90). I would consider this to be a quite expensive lunch for two people and considering that the portion sizes aren't that big. The dishes tasted fresh and flavours were not overwhelming. I found that Chefs Gallery just wasn't amazing, unsure if I would return in the future.
Catherine
+3 standard starting pts for food
+1 the best western approach to delivering asian cuisine I’ve seen.

Each plate is balanced as a stand alone dish. Flavours and combinations remain fairly true to traditional Chinese food. I really appreciate the good service and comfortable restaurant setting (as opposed to typical Chinese diners being a bit greasy and with zero personal space)

Would not come here for the value (though their lunch specials are decent)
Riceflakes
Found a raw prawn in my hot and sour soup and I sent it back to the kitchen.
The restaurant could be good except they really squeezed in all tables and chairs so you're elbow to elbow with other guests. Very manufactured taste in their food, doesn't taste like freshly made food at all. Not authentic Chinese flavours either.
Sydneys Fattiest Eaters
Their food is absolutely amazing. It's fresh and clean, the spicy dishes are a well balanced blend of spices and flavours. We especially loved watching the chef hand make the noodles. Maybe that's why they're irresistible. We ordered quite a feast and can say we demolished it. the seafood pot-stickers are to die for! Its a must order. For those who like a bit of spice the marbled beef in spicy sichuan soup is a must try. But our personal favourite had to have been the Korean style zhajiang noodles with pork in a black bean sauce. It's everything a good noodle dish should be. Tasty, sweet, salty, spicy and leaves you wanting so much more!

It has definitely become one of the fatty favourites.
Eat With Pete
Very popular restaurant chain for a reason.

Their noodles and all salt and pepper dishes are amazing.

We went on a weekend for lunch and there wasn't any wait.

Would go again.

Fav dish is the HN6 spicy pork and prawn noodle, if you like chilli this is a must. We tried the peking duck on roti which was nice but super filling, and the delicious pork and prawn pot stickers - great texture and good sized entreé. We also had the green tea lychee pretty mediocre but cured the burning chilli sensation on our lips momentarily. Two people very well fed for under $80 👌Service was good too, food came out quickly.
Da Vid
The service was very good, super friendly staff and very efficient. The food however was average , nothing special. I think it is a little bit overpriced compare to other restaurants.

Food here is pretty good and tasty, I've been here a handful amount of times and can't really find any faults with their food other than the price. It is though very pricey for a Chinese Restaurant just because of it's luxury ambiance. The customer service could be better, I feel like they just give you attitudes which I don't like and it's like they hate their job or something. But anyway, I liked the selections that they had in their menu, definitely a lot of things to choose from but like I said... it is very pricey. I do recommend this place, well in Parramatta from where I've been, I'm not too sure about the rest. I recommend it for once in a while casual dining or a special occasion because of it's price. Otherwise if you are the type to not care how much you spend, well then I say try it out.
Susan
Amazing food filled with fresh foods and authentic flavours. Perfectly located restaurant that is easy to get to, but booking are definitely recommended if going for dinner. Only major letdown is the service which needs much improvement.

We started with duck spring rolls and main had the spinach noodles with seafood. The food had good flavour but portion size was ok. Overall an okay meal.

this place has gone down hill. they recently started 'cost cutting' by reducing the serving portion and quality of the food. it doesn't justify their ridiculous pricing anymore. it tastes like standard chinese food served on a a fancy plate. the food is nothing like the photos in the menu, it is very deceiving. i was really disappointed and would never come back. there are other better places that offer better value for your money.
J
I went there recently with a friend and ordered 5 dishes. One of the dishes, pork ribs noddles soup was just warm so got some boiling soup to be added. Told that tea could only be provided for special dishes. Did order a special dish and got a free pot of tea - but the tea pot was filthy. Also noticed the waiter rinsing the mop next to the bar sink - which I felt was unhygienic. When we left there was no farewell from the female cashier. Overall we were very disappointed and decided we wouldn't go back again - this was our first and last time.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
Just over eighteen months ago, I joined a busload of food media on a trip to Parramatta to celebrate the launch of the Chefs Gallery Parramatta outpost. Getting word of a new menu that included Korean-style mac’n’cheese aimed just at Parramatta diners, I decided to hop on public transport and get myself a taste of it... Marveling at how quick it was to get to Parramatta, I was pleased to find a fast path from the station right to the restaurant’s front door that didn’t require me to walk through Westfield Parramatta. When compared with my last visit, Chefs Gallery Parramatta looks a bit tatty. Our table is chipped and gouged; the floors are greasy; but I’m hoping they’re simply signs of the restaurant being well used. Waving down staff (who also seem to have lost a bit of their eagerness to please), we place an order only to be told two of the Parramatta specific menu dishes are unavailable (despite this menu being brand new). We choose another two dishes and get things underway with our favourite Chinese beer, Tsingtao ($6.90), and that much awaited Korean Style Mac’n’Cheese ($13.90). The concept of the dish is clever. It switches out macaroni for tteokbokki, those chewy Korean rice cakes I’m pretty much obsessed with, and throws in some sweet corn for contrast, and sambal and Korean chilli flakes for flavour. The execution on the other hand leaves something to be desired...

12.8 lunch specials probably more worth it than going elsewhere when it comes to decent chinese food but i was still disappointed. i mean i definitely would’ve felt ripped off if i had paid the usual amount for the food.

ordered tom yum chicken fried rice & dandan noodles with pork chops. the fried rice was so dry i had to drink my drink (free soy milk + water) every spoonful. the chicken was cooked well which is a plus, yet however they seasoned or cooked their fried rice, it just came out so dry. some mouthfuls were nice (when i got some lemongrass or tomato in them) but mostly i was just bored with my dish after a few spoons. pork chops look very oily because they are. also ordered the pavlova but the waiter forgot to put it in our receipt so we just decided not to eat dessert here.

the food just came out tasting like standard fast food chinese cuisine. the service was friendly and efficient enough. i’ve been here before like a year ago so i know that other dishes taste a lot better than what i had today.

Dine here for lunch on monday afternoon. It was not that busy but could not get attention on the wait staff. Then when someone see me waving he came but when he find out I want to order he said wait. He need to call someone else.
Order their spinach noodle with seafood lunch special and as i don’t want a soda so they offer me soybean milk cold.
The noodle is flooded with oil. And i think this is like half portion their regular size which cost 18.80 in their regular menu. When i ask for water they gave me a bottle of water with out glass.. n need to again get someone attention just to get a glass.. sadly till the end i did not get my soybean milk..

Not a nice experience

The spicy noodles didn’t look like the one in the menu.. a bit disappointed but the taste was great! Spicy and tasty enough! The rolled bread with Peking duck was a bomb!! Wonderful! The waitress a bit slow, we have to ask a few times only for the drink water 😌 2 times for chopped chilli 😌 hopefully next time will be better..
Xlittlecupcake
Food is pretty average and a bit pricey for what it is. Menu is very aesthetic, whoever designed it/photographed the pics did a great job. Fan of the Peking duck roti, always get this when I go.

Fairly subpar Chinese food and very expensive.
Dishes are very "whitewashed" and service isn't excellent.
I think there are better places to go in Parramatta

✔️ Joined my sister and her friend here for dessert after they had eaten lunch (if u follow me u would know I do not eat Chinese food). Chef’s gallery outside parra Westfield is always packed everytime I walk past but regardless the service is very quick. Ordered the mango pancakes to share and was impressed. A gorgeous and colourful plate of dessert. The pancakes were lovely and soft and tasted very sweet. It came with a scoop of mango & black sesame ice cream. Mango ice cream was delicious, and the black sesame ice cream was weird but actually very enjoyable. It’s hard to explain but the best way I can describe it is semi-savoury with rich, deep nutty roasted flavour.

❌ Nothing amazing here - but a nice experience. Wouldn’t come back here just for the dessert. Also the prices on the menu, very very expensive...

Food: 3.5/5
Presentation: 4/5
Service: 3.5/5
Location: 4/5

Food here was good but it's very expensive!
We ordered 4 dishes and two drinks and the bill came close to $100.
I have never even encountered that at yum cha.
Anyway, food wasn't bad but not worth the price.
The wait was pretty quick and service wasn't bad.
Located close to Parramatta Station so is easy to get to.
Probably won't go there again as we can get better Chinese food elsewhere for cheaper which is tastier.
The noodles here are beautiful and very good value. Everything else on the menu is abit pricey . Second time eating at chef gallery in Parramatta and the service has improved alot, there was no long wait times as you try to get the waiters attention. Reccomend.

I love the ambience at this Parramatta branch. Been there few times and I always ordered the roti with pork floss. My favourite dish! The piggy and emoji fairy land is cute and a hit with the kids. However, the menu has amazing photography that you might get disappointed when the actual dishes come out. Look far less 'photogenic' compared to what you see on the menu. The price is also too high in my opinion considering that the portion is not huge.
Tara Nath
Overall, Chefs Gallery impressed me! I had the vegetarian spinach noodle stir fry, and it was both filling and flavoursome. The vegetarian steamed dumplings were also a hit with my partner and I. Customer service was both friendly and efficient. Definitely much more pricey than your local Chinese restaurant but I'm keen to come here again.
Mary Tran
The ambience and set up of the restaurant was clean and tidy. I would recommend the mini pork burgers as they came out hot and fresh with sauce oozing out. Every dish was good but it's quite expensive for the quantity you get. The chilli noodles and dumplings were spicy but I feel like the dumpling:noodle ratio was low- they should add more dumplings!! Once you check-in or post about the restaurant on fb/instagram, you get any complimentary drink for free. However, not quite sure how long this promotion will be available for. I got the lychee mint drink and the mint taste was very strong which wasn't very much to my liking - they have a nice range of fruit shakes to choose from
Anthony Y
worst customer ever so rude greedy he told it cost me extra because i was only 1 person i told i pay by credit he said that gonna charge me more because only for 1 person

Really good service and amazing food! My absolute favourite item was the slow cooked pork belly - so full of flavour and perfectly cooked! It is a bit pricey, and the portion sizes are modest, but definitely worth trying at least once.

Nice flavours and quick delivery of food

Chefs Gallery has various locations in Sydney, we went to Parramatta for lunch and it is located outside and across from Westfields, below Event cinemas.

I wanted to eat noodle soup but because Paparich had a queue, we ended up here and I'm glad we did as the food was nice.

We ordered a couple of dishes from the lunch menu: wheat noodles in soup with sliced omlette, leafy greens, carrots and x2 pieces of pork chop served on the side. The noodle soup had nice flavours and the pork chop was yummy, sweet and salty. I could just eat it on its own. The other dish we ordered was a dry noodle dish with `sweet and tangy` chicken. It didn't taste tangy but more sweet, salty and spicy. I didn't mind as the flavours were yummy, unfortunately there was not enough sauce to coat the noodles so it was a bit dry. I also didn't like how the noodles were bunched together in bundles and cut so you had some firm noodles, I like my noodles separated. The chicken pieces were moist but cut too small. There were also diced zucchini. For freshness, the dish was topped with rocket (unfortunately I had some yellow and wilted leaves) and carrot. Lunch meals also come with a can of soft drink.

We also ordered cubed pepper steak and stir fried noodles with duck. The pepper steak was nice with the dipping sauce but quite spicy from the pepper corns. The meat was soft but was disappointed with the sinew in the meat. The duck noodles were yummy. The flavours were balanced well and the duck and mushrooms were soft and there was plenty of sauce - yum!

I will definitely be back to try the other dishes including the desserts as they look good.

Chefs Gallery Parramatta what a shithole... nice and shiny on the outside serves OK food. Waiters are so rude, pressing and restricting diners to a part of the restaurant when it is half-full. Original tactics like clearing plates before time, re-arranging tables - not even let dinner finish their drinks before demanding for payment. Stop being lazy...or close down.
Linda Yang
I ordered the lunch deal which came with a drink which is $12.50. Ionly had 1 hour for my lunch break. My drink arrived immediately but then I was waiting 20 minutes for my noodles. It was an open kitchen so I can see the chefs, not all of them were busy. During my wait I had tried to get the waiters attention, he told me wait a moment, he never came back. I tried waving at another one and still no reaction. I overheard one saying to the other "can our check on her order, it's been taking a long time". And yet no lunch. I went up to the counter told them the situation. I told her I couldn't wait anymore. She calculated my bill and told me my drink was $3.90. She had separated the noodles and drink and charged me the full price of the drink. I got ripped off, I could have gotten fed for $5 at the food court and that includes a drink. They gave me no apology for the wait. Bad service and manners.
Attara Atari Ashioto
Food is great, would recommend dumplings and Chinese pancakes, also the hand made noodles were excellent! Will definitely be going back. Price was great as 3 meals with 2 drinks and a dessert was only $85 for me and my partner. Great portion sizes for sharing. TF

Everything is re-heated crap! If there was 0 star, I would give it. Totally totally NOT worth the prices they charge!
The only thing they cook on order is the noodle and blanching some veg. Everything else is re-heated.

Soup was cold, they didn't even microwave it long enough!
Wagyu beef was cooked earlier and stored in fridge. It has fridge smell, and was over cooked, chewy as. Totally destroyed a good piece of meat. What a waste!
Blenched veg was sandy. Salad has no dressing...... it goes on.
Don't get fooled by the photos on the menu, Nothing looks like it anyway.

Seriously, it was like paying premium dollar for junk fast food. You would get 10 times better food at a normal take away shop, with less than half the price they charge.
ChippityChirp
Came here for a late lunch with friends and tried their DanDan noodle soup, which was satisfactory for filing a hungry belly but expensive for the given portion size.

I also shared some prawn dumplings with friends - they were clean, fresh dumplings with chunks of prawns.
The Miniature Life
My experiences at Chef's Gallery have always been very positive. I love the consistency in what they serve, and the variety offered too. We always grab a dumplings and noodle bowl, and then experiment with our second item. My current favourite is the chef's special duck and fried noodles - delicious! I love the offerings of drinks too, which include traditional tea varieties. These are so perfect for winter! Sometimes there is a fair waiting line to be seated, but the staff is always friendly and happy to help you out.

Food was great! Service was amazing they where quick with food and drink. The only thing that concerned me was the state of the restaurant, the floor was dirty and so where some of the chairs and some tables hadn't been wiped down. They may have just come down from a busy period but it was very messy. All of that put aside the food and service was great and I would go back again.

The service was good and quick.. the Food was as good as the place looks.. All in all good food, good location, good looks, good service!! Cant fault this place!!

I went here with my partner last Thursday for dinner. We got there around 6:30pm, no one was at the front. No greeting, nothing. We have to try to call them to be seated.

Space in between tables is very tight. Lucky we are both quite small. Try hard to squeeze in between table just to go to the bathroom.

Food is horrible.
Pickle cucumber: not cold, not marinated well, lack of flavor for sure. But they charge you $7.5 for 8 pieces of tiny little cucumber

Sweet and sour pork: I feel bad for the pork . Thick thick thick layer of flour around them. Deep fried in old stinky oil. Not impress at all. I can cook better for sure......

Also noodle soup, came out cold. For one moment I though I actually ordered cold noodle lol

Overall. Shit and shit don't waste your money. We can all cook better than them. Never gonna go back. You guys will thanks me.

I had a very bad experience today. It is my first and last day going to this restaurant. Expecting better quality for the price. I ordered "sweet an sour pork" which was more like a crispy dough without much pork. Disappointed and mine friends were too!
Eatventures
This is store is nicely consistent with the other stores in terms of consistency of flavour and cooking. All dishes were cooked lovely and full of flavour. I found the service was a little irregular for a fairly quiet day at the restaurant. That being said everything was still delicious and I'm still ordering their awesome duck roti every time.
Foodfriend
Pretty consistent food here, duck with lychee is amazing, along with the handmade noodles with prawn wontons and spicy sauce, tom yum fried rice and the lychee mint drink. Duck roti rolls were disappointing. Service is hit and miss, nice enough when it's not busy. They tend to squash bigger groups of people around the smallest table possible.
Moifa
Order their lunch special. The pork chop noodle soup was too dried, needed to ask for more soup. The chilli chicken noodle was really dried as well. But the taste was good.

The duck salad was too salty. Asked to exchange for the squid salad which was nice too.

Points are given to their creativity. The taste is alright overall.
The food at this Parramatta outlet is pretty consistent with the other branches I've been to. We got some crispy tofu to share (tasty as always) and then we all got our individual noodle dish. My spinach noodle with mushrooms was nice, except for a bit of oily mouth feel & the noodles all tangled together. My friend's grilled pork chop was delicious, but the noodle soup it came with was lacking in seasoning. The third noodle dish of wonton noodle soup was good, once again the soup was light. The service however was not the best, we had to try to get attention of the wait staff several times, one even told us she's busy & we need to get someone else. Just frustrating!
Venky Rajagopalan
Didn't come with a reservation during peak time and was told it would take some time, however I was immediately seated which was great.

The food is served almost instantaneously and tastes really great. It's location is definitely a key attraction.

Highlight of the meal was the pannacotta dessert and would highly recommend this.
MsBrulee
Prawn and pork wontons in a Shanghainese style spicy sauce with minced chicken chopped lettuce and handmade noodles $16.90. While tasty, the noodle to mince and wonton ration was thrown way out. My bowl contained a mountainous serve of noodles, while the wontons were filled with plump prawn and pork mince, it’s just so wasteful and unappetising to throw in 3 serves of handmade noodles for one meal.
Princess Greedy Guts
Chef's gallery has been a hit since its first store in the CBD. After visiting there so many times I wondered if the other locations were going to be just as good and it is! The feel of the place & menu is modern with such a huge variety to choose from. Start with one of the refreshing blended drinks, my favourite is the lychee mint. Or a beautiful tea that blossoms into a flower in hot water. Must haves are the dumplings, buns & wontons. My personal favourites are their noodles and peking duck roti! All the noodles are handmade fresh daily. Even if you are too full for dessert, have some of the cutest sweet buns. Of course there are also delicious mango pancakes or a more Westernised pannacotta. The buns are not overly sweet or heavy, they are the perfect ending to a great meal.
Johnny Pan
Very good quality food at chefs gallery as always. The flour covering the eggplant was a little thick but the flavour was nice. The desserts were all really good
Mykim
I thought this was going to be some fast Yum Cha or western Chinese food place but wow, I was amazed at the quality of the food! The portions of the mains were generous and everything was just so tasty!! Can't wait to go back!!

I was so disappointed with their service. I took my 12 month and 3 years old to there, (I've been to chefs gallery in Macquarie centre, I love their food), when I ask for some hot water to warm up baby pouch food, one of the waiter told me food from outside is not allowed. I was shocked in the beginning, then I told them if they serve baby food, of course I wouldn't necessary to bring anything. He then told me he need to consult his manger (how stupid!). Later he came back and said it is fine for my baby to eat his own food, but I have to take all my rubbish with me and I should pour the baby food into their bowl to make it looks like not take away food. How ridiculous!! And the warm water he gave to me is not even more a sip of water. Will I go back there again? Absolutely no! Food are expensive, staffs are rude, not kids friendly for sure!

I have visited this restaurant quite a bit. The food is quite tasty and the service is good. I guess the only issue is that it is a bit over priced for the amount of food you get. I have tried most of the desserts and I would probably give it a miss given that there's plenty of other places in parra. I find the buns a bit bland, and the truffle dessert to be not that exciting.

came here for lunch for a table of 13 today and we asked for a tea glass for our tea pot and were told that they charge by the glass which is like $2.90 . Ridiculous pricing for a small glass even though we got a pot of tea. We had 4 kids with us and they wanted drinks from outside so we bought them drinks and then we were told that they couldn't have them due to company policy. Absolutely ridiculous we are paying customers and these are young kids they couldn't even make an exception . Then we were told some of what we ordered were sold out. Unbelievable never coming here again . couldn't even cater to our kids they are just lucky our table didn't decide to get up and leave . Ridiculous

Finding ourselves out in Parramatta we were keen for a late lunch before heading home. Chef’s Gallery came recommended by a few people and we thought it would be worth a look - it was. I immediately got excited when checking out the menu on the way there - I love chinese food and was keen to grab some dumplings and whatever else took my fancy. The menu had heaps to choose from and it was hard to narrow it down - especially as the artistic styled menu made everything look like a must have. We ended up settling for the dumpling sample plate, the pork sliders, spinach noodle and seafood pasta and the bao. My favourite were the sliders and the I found the spinach noodles refreshingly different. We ended up paying $80ish for the two of us, but we didn’t consider price when ordering. For the quality of food and how full we felt after the meal - we are not complaining. It is located as part of the restaurant section of Parramatta Westfield, situated under the Cinema on level 2. The restaurant is elegant and artistic which is pleasant to be seated in and there was plenty of room. As we went late in the afternoon it was relatively quiet. They also have other restaurants at Town Hall, Bankstown and Macquarie.

Was not able to bring a bottle of Chinese wine (16% alcohol) despite offering to pay the ridiculous $10 corkage fee. Menu clearly states BYO excludes beer and spirits.

Food was good, however left feeling very thirsty - Plenty of MSG? Some dishes were great (duck feet, tofu), others were a miss (noodles, fried rice). Price was high.

Let me preface this review with the one reason you should go here … the food was exquisite.

The service itself, given that I paid $139.60 for two people on a quiet Wednesday night, was legitimately the worst I’ve experienced. I will not be coming back, and will be actively discouraging friends and family for the following reasons:

1) The staff member who seated us didn’t say hello. I wasn’t made to feel welcomed at all.

2) After being seated we had to call over a staff member after waiting nearly 20 minutes. We were not approached for our order or asked if we would like drinks at any point.

3) When giving my order the staff member was impatient and I felt looked down upon me like I was inconveniencing them.

4) At no point were we offered water.

5) We ordered deserts… and they were the second dish that came out!

6) The drinks we ordered were overfilled and spilled all over the table when the waiter sat them down.
7) The waiters made no attempt at presenting the plates as they came out.

8) A waiter dropped a plate in front of me when cleaning up and made no attempt at apologizing.

9) The waiters were seemingly doing nothing at points. One waiter wiped the same table three times, another took 10 minutes to pour water and another went outside to check his phone.

10) We had to pay for take away containers (which I don’t actually have an issue with), but then were left to pack it ourselves. Given the cost of the meal this service is just unacceptable.

11) At no point did I see a staff member smile.

12) And to top of it all off they approached us to pay for the bill instead of waiting for us to ask for it, as they did with every other customer there, and ASKED FOR A TIP! I felt like I was getting kicked out and kicked in the face at the same time.

Both I and my partner work in customer service orientated fields and were genuinely disheartened by the service. My partner leads a team of 12 staff who service customers and he suggested that if they had delivered this level of service, consistently (as evidenced by these reviews), then he would have 'invited' them to seek employment elsewhere.

Great food. Excellent value. Fast service. Clean. Some separate tables. Some long shared tables. Highly recommended
Planning on going back

Great food!! I've been to all the chefs gallery franchises and I have to say the parramatta one is the best. The food is good, staff are friendly and the interiors as very well designed. Highly recommended!! The noodles were really delicious!
Grand interior . Lots of light and lots of crowd . I always see it bustling with people but luckily have always managed to grab a seat. Staff is well mannered and nice but lacks personal touch. It may be because they are very busy running around taking orders and serving people. Menu is innovative and servings are more than enough for a single person. Food tastes good. It's a nice place for a casual date dinner and is value for money. Not really cheap but will fit in your pocket.

Serving up modern Chinese cuisine, Chef’s Gallery offer traditional dishes ranging from dim sum, handmade noodles, etc to modern influenced dishes such as mini pork sliders/burgers (they are super juicy!). Of course, enjoying the full culinary experience includes desserts. Chef’s Gallery has irresistibly cute desserts to choose from.

Favourite go to's:
1. Macanese style mini burgers - deep fried golden buns on the outside and a juicy pork fillet on the inside.
2. Shredded peking duck rolled inside fluffy roti - I love how the texture of the roti is slightly chewy but wraps the ingredients inside so effortlessly. It's like a peking duck wrap but with roti instead!

Highly recommended to order these! How can I forget their cute dessert plates... I'm all for the cuteness.

Chefs gallery sure gives a contemporary vibe around the restaurant and the staffs are very polite. The food we ordered we're alright pricing but would say its worth for the classyness 😅 there's nothing very special about this place but quite disappointed about some dishes not looking like what it does compared to the menu. The dessert was a highlight for me, very unique and Instagram friendly. Most likely come back to try other dishes.

Food : 😍 Amazing
Dessert : 😊 Good
Service : 😕 Okay

I know the desserts here get hyped up but speaking honestly they tasted mediocre. The presentation is spectacular though. It looks so pretty and so cute. It's worth taking a photo. The food however is delicious. Plenty of flavour and the serving sizes are decent. The service my friends and I received was not great. It took forever to get a table of 4 when the restaurant was literally empty and the waiter did not smile nor greet us nicely. We had to grab menu's and tissue for ourselves. That really brought the rating down.

Chef's Gallery is an oldie but a goldie for me. The food is always full of flavour. It's great for sharing from dishes from $14-$15. We tried 2 different kinds of noodles, roti, spinach, dumplings and more. The noodles are always nice and fresh. Chefs gallery is generous with their seafood portions. Would totally recommend it for group dining!
Weekendfoodescapes
Chef's Gallery is known for their hand made noodles and dumplings. They're a bit more up-market than your average Chinese hole in the wall. I've read some reviews about poor customer service but I didn't really encounter that. I think it was a bit busy but there was always someone around if you needed something. Perhaps this was a minor teething issue that they have worked out.
Supersabroso
Meal was of a very high quality, looked good and tasted just as good. You can order the pork chops by themselves and they are great value, just ask for it as the menu would have to believe otherwise. However, the lychee and mint drink is just a block of mint and the piggy buns are only good to look at, very simple sesame buns. It is on the pricier side of things but it's cheaper than fine dining and best of all you get your large portions of food.
Lily
The food is quite pricey considering the portion and ingredients used in some of the dishes (vegetarian). I ordered a vegetable fried rice takeaway and asked for no egg as I'm vegan for the week and to dismay my request was not catered to.
Sydneyguyrojoe
Expensive is the first thing to comes to mind and you will see why when you see the portion sizes.

Service this food came out pretty quick but the waiter has major problems understanding me when I asked for lemon ice tea,he only understood when we looked at the menu and it was cold lemon tea. It wasn't cold by the way, adding ice to it doesn't make it cold straight away so essentially I got my lemon ice tea.

The food was nice though. Everything we had was tasty but the eggplant was basically honey chicken batter on it and it didn't have much taste.

If price is not an issue then come here

Came here to dine as Bankstown was too inconvenient to get to at the time, service was 4/10, only one of the staff were attentive. We ordered our food and the noodles were dry and meal lacked flavour. The waiter brought out our soup noodle and as he was carrying it out with thumb was inside our soup........ Overall, would rather go to Bankstown chefs gallery or Macquarie, as the meals have more flavour there and better service

To celebrate the launch of the new Chef’s Gallery location in Parramatta, we were invited to sample their culinary delights! We were able to try a selection of canapes and small bites which are featured on the menu. Our first highlight was the salt and pepper calamari, which was quite spicy and had a great kick to it, but also very well seasoned. We also really enjoyed the spinach and vegetable handmade noodles, which were so lovely and soft, and had a subtle hint of spinach flavour with a good variety of sweet mushrooms. Finally, the mini sliders were so delicious, with a tender pork filling, and they were so easy to eat as well!
Sweetandyummie
Great space with fresh vibe. It seats a lot of people so great for groups and gatherings. The menu is like the other locations and all handmade buns and noodles are superfresh and delicious. I highly recommend the Peking duck roti and the mini pork burgers. Customer service is very attentive.
Amys_food_adventures
Girls dinner catchup. To start I got the lychee and mango juice - very refreshing. We got the meals to come all at once.

We got the mini pork burger, Peking duck roti, spicy beef noodle soup, duck with lychees and the broccolini two ways! Wow - all dishes were delectable! All had a good amount of sauce. The beef was uber spicy!

For dessert we got the little piggy buns with sesame in them and the custard ones on a plate of fairyfloss with chocolate rocks and strawberry and matcha ice cream - yum!!

Staff were pleasant and attentive.
Great first time visit! Will be back!

Tried out chefs gallery tonight since we wanted to stay local. I think chefs gallery keeps opening new branches but haven't quite mastered consistency. Regents place is still the best one. Anyhow the service was unattentive - everything we needed was done by flagging down a wait person. Food was good but always different to the last time we ordered that same dish at say Macquarie or city. Anyhow nice but needs to think about how to remain consistent...

First time trying chefs gallery and I quite liked it!
I've gotten sick of regular Chinese food so this was a wonderful change because of quality and it's not all just that similar Chinese dish flavour of mediocre food.
The prawn and pork wonton soup was full of flavour in every part (unlike when I get it at take away style places the soup part usually lacks flavour).
My favourite of the night was the mini pork burgers. LOVED the flavour of these!
Everything was cooked well.
The only negative I can say is that there was too too much fat on my duck dish. That was probably the least favourite of the night.
Even their drinks were all wonderful!
Customer service was good. They are very friendly and the waitresses know their stuff!
The decor is nice and modern and... Uplifting? And open so you don't feel claustrophobic or annoyed at the other diners practically sitting on your lap.
So it's nice to have a happy and peaceful dining experience.
And the vibe is pleasant where you don't feel uncomfortable or rushed or annoyed with loud music.
It's a little bit pricy but I was happy to pay for quality.
All up tonight was just over $100.

Ok! Not worth the hype! My meal, the Singapore noodles was dry. However, the duck roll was nice. My friends enjoyed their meals. This was also the first time ever if I've been in a restaurant and the waitress asked us to leave from our table for their turn over. 😒 ... so an update! I came back here again and got spinach noodle soup and it was really really good. I might give this place another go!

Dine with family on Sat night without booking. Lucky to be able to squeeze in a table of 5 as 1 group did not arrive on time.
Had to order their Work-of-the-Art tea, it was amazing. Whatever you see in their photo, that is how exquisitely it come out.

Their deep fried tofu is crusty on the outside and silken on the inside.

Hand made spinach noodles is a must to try. Well seasoned.

Cheese roti is a mistake on our behalf, it was oozing with oil....too much cheese and fat.

Roast duck was well made.

Ambience was busy, mainly filled with oriental customers but mainly young groups and family.

Waiters and waitresses was young and spoke English well. Service is catered to young hip generations.

Desserts of fruit and cream filled pillows with ice cream was a delicious ending to the meal and relatively cheap.
Hungry Vibes Only
Not bad, not bad at all.

We ordered the roast duck, a wonton + noodles dish and the pork belly + battered fish dish. Boneless roast duck is such a gem when you're used to having to it at home and bone to meat ratio feels like 83738237:1. Flavours were on fleek.

Each dish was nicely portioned. Got full quite quickly. Quite pricey though--will only be coming back when I feel like treating mahself.

Without a doubt the WORST dining experience I have had in a long time. Atrocious service - they approached us with a mobile EFTPOS machine 5 mins after we ordered and before any food had arrived. When it did - I received something like in the pic which the texture and taste of an old boot - even though the menu blurb said it would 'melt' in my mouth...... When I politely told the waitress my meal was inedible she still offered the EFTPOS machine for me to pay - and eventually the manager gave me a note saying 'bad meal'. I have kept both pics in case impeded to show medical staff is I needed to have my stomach pumped - I was lucky I didn't. Avoid at all costs. PS I have NEVER written a bad review ever before - but this was beyond bad

One after the next, Paramatta is slowly buzzing with new and vibrant restaurants including it's latest addition, Chefs Gallery! 🐝

Up until recently, I've only been to the Chefs Gallery in bankstown and although the paramatta one is busier due to location, I was a bit let down by their interior especially after seeing all the amazing artworks displayed in their bankstown franchise.

We ordered a few dishes and I would highly recommend trying the salt and pepper spinach tofu! Omgsh, the tofu just melts in your mouth and the flavours are so well balanced! But their dishes are definitely on the pricier side of things, with just that one dish costing almost $20 yikes! 😕
Sarah&Gluttony
I've grown to love Chefs Gallery, and their food. I know my previous reviews of their other braches were somewhat satisfactory.
But i find their menu kind of comforting, and filling. Definitely recommend trying all their fried rice.
Olivia S
I found this place quite overrated unfortunately, especially its sweet dessert buns. The food is decent but comes in small servings. However I was very impressed with how big their menu was, it was basically a magazine. I would also not recommend the lychee ice tea as its literally just plain tea with a single piece of lychee in it.
Louise Zheng
Yes they finally opened in Parramatta! Service is alright, don't really like it. But their food are good! The pork belly is authentic, juicy and the texture is perfect. The vegetarian spinach noodle is the best! Noodles are in perfect texture and sauce! The stir fry vege are slightly too salty. The bun taste very good but too little filling! Also I was expecting them to be better looking. Over all definitely worth going!
Viv OY
Disappointed. When looking at the menu, it looked exciting and inviting. But when the food came, it was disappointing. The servings were extremely small. The service was very slow, we waited almost an hour for our noodles.
Alegna
Must say the food here is below par compared with the Town Hall and Macquarie stores. Highlight of the night was the new pot plant dessert - with layers of sponge, jelly and ice cream, topped with popping candy!

Chefs gallery in the city (sydney) is great but this branch is garbage . Mediocre customer service and really really bad food !! Avoid this if you can , walk up to Phoenix restaurant .
Csdingli19
Terrible service, the worst chefs gallery in Sydney.
Food is very bad compares to other branches. They give you voucher and won't let you use it unless each single customer reaches minimum $25 and moreover the 'rule' is take a way does not count.
They don't let people goes in the restaurant unless they sight every customer. I told them that my friend is coming in 5mins and I can order the food right now, they still do not accept. Their attitude is very bad, ask their customer to not blocking the door.
Will never go to this restaurant again!!
Ilovecakeandicecream
Delicious and amazing food! Waited a long time for their Parramatta restaurant to open and was worth the wait. We came here for dinner on a Monday and had the shredded duck in roti, the ox tail dish, noodles and the mango pancakes and 'piggy buns' for dessert. All were amazing! Will definitely be back to try more.

the worst chefs gallery! got food poisoning eating there for dinner last night!
food is sub par compared to other chef gallery franchise.. not worth the hype.. hubby and I are sick as a dog! never again!!
