This restaurant is almost an hours drive from me (meeting friends that live on that side of town), but my gosh it was worth each and every mile. The food here was beautiful. The decor is lovely and the service was good. There was six of us, and each of us enjoyed what we ordered. Everything went right (other than forgetting one side dish of coconut rice which came out promptly after reminding them), and otherwise it was a good experience. I got curry puffs and chew chee salmon, and both were scrumptious. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again. You do need to search for it, as it's in a shopping complex and tucked in towards the back, but it's worth giving it a go. And once you're done eating, especially in summer, just take a minute stroll to the lake front where it's just beautiful and serene. Definitely come here if you're in the area ... or if you too have friends that live closer to it than you do, but it's a hike. It's truly worth it.
Absolutely authentic Thai food. The curry and stir fried food is like eating it on the streets of Pattaya. I have been to a few Thai places in VIC which claim to be authentic but this one beats them all.
The Kung pao yao is Very over rated and sadly i cant go through the whole meal as its too oily. The Chicken is too battered and you cant finish the food unless if you can tollerate it. The Satay Chicken was much better (first picture). The quality has dropped in the last couple of years. The Waiters are nice and polite.
