As far as buffets go, the epicurean at the Crown is pretty hard to beat (in Perth anyway). From the up-market, uber-stylish decor when you walk in, to the fairly extensive range of foods to try, there is definitely something for everyone here. Personal favourites are the fresh sashimi & sushi selection, prawns and oysters. Asian & Indian dishes were pretty standard, not a big fan of the roast meats (dry), and the dessert bar looked wonderful but honestly a lot of the desserts tasted very similar to each other or were a bit ordinary. Only worth the $95 if you can truly eat your fill. Sunday high tea here is also another, more economical option if you’re looking for something a bit different, with a glass of champagne included and a decent selection of lighter finger savoury & sweet food (all buffet of course). The lining up is a bit of a downside be warned, it gets extremely packed.
Lovely buffet. Plenty of food for everyone. It definitely has alot on offer for those that eat seafood. There is still a good variety for land meat lovers but limited vegetarian options. Very clean and lovely atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were seated outside and the lighting was very dim there which is pretty much my only fault. Tasty desserts too. Overall worth a visit, just keep in mind it isn't a cheap buffet but a very rememberable experience all round.
Epicurean needs to be on everyone’s bucket list!
Enough said. Go out there people and see what it is to live the life of luxury!WOW
The food quality in this place is amazing. The variety is good but not excessive. The different cuisine and flavours were on point. Service is good and polite.
Very good place to eat wide variety of foods best buffet hands down, good selection of gluten free food (my wife) and the chef takes there time to take you round.
Epicurean is amazing!
Best Indian curries I have had in perth, specially the tandoori potatos. The truffle mash is also one of my favorites but then everything is delicious and you can tell it has been made with the best ingredients.
Yes it is expensive but I will rather not eat at some of the restaurants where you get so disappointed in the food and save the money and go to Epicurean every once in a while.
Wowza! The seafood here is the freshest you'll find in the whole of perth, the venue has outdone itself reallt, quite spectacular in my opinion. The dessert bar makes me feel like I'm in real life willy wonka land! I've been here twice and both times i walked out full all the way up to my oesphagus and with pure happiness in my heart. Hands down my favorite place in Perth.
We booked a reservation for 7. The restaurant is very child friendly and maintains a lovely ambiance. Food was really fresh. My cousin called ahead and asked if they could include some bush foods in the buffet and that the seafood be clean as like straight from our waters and it was the best seafood I’ve had at a restaurant and the barramundi was just like at home off the coals. I was really pleased with the effort they went to and had a nice birthday meal.
Was good .lots of people but quick . thought i was in Hong kong .great views no free coffees or tea. Bought an omega seasmaster so happy .$120 is ok for burswood
Situated in Crown Towers, guests can enjoy an outstanding array of international cuisine at Epicurean, with a series of different culinary stations, each offering a distinct and unique dining experience. The stylish interiors by RED Design feature a spacious outdoor dining area that opens out onto the resort pool. Diners can choose from seafood, sushi and salads or indulge in the Asian dim sum and noodles. Epicurean also boasts a Western hot food station, a tandoori oven for authentic flavours of India and a dessert station featuring an amazing chocolate fountain.
The buffet is pricey for a whopping $95 (P.S soft drinks or coffee/tea are not included). I would definitely recommend going on a weeknight or Friday/ Saturday lunch if you can. It is $75/ $59 respectively.
Situated in Crown Towers, people can enjoy an exceptional range of international cuisine at Epicurean, with different stations for each cuisine/ type of food. The buffet is comprehensive with a lot of cuisines on offer like Asian, Indian, Continental, Roasts with a huge selection of Antipasto, Breads, salads, Cheeses, Sushi, Asian and Indian food, Roasts, Western food.
The dessert bar / display is surely to die for and just love the Chocolate fountain on display.
The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented.
The service is very professional, friendly, not intrusive but always attentive.
Personally I do not think the buffet is worth $95 ++ (depends on your appetite) but yes it is definitely value for money and would highly recommend for weekday lunch and for Saturday lunch.
Seafood selection was great and prawns were incredibly fresh. Roast meats were very tasty with good selection of condiments. Vegetarian ravioli was very good and so was the black pepper crab. Loved the spread from salad bar all the way to desert. Yuzu miso dressing was simply divine when paired with their wide sashimi range. Great food!
So worth to every dollar we paid!
Went to weekday lunch time without booking luckily after 10 min wait we got a table.
All foods are beautifully cooked and nice presentation. Very enjoyable with the tongue and the eyes.
We will go there again.
Have been to epicurean 3 times, and it actually never disappoints, the desserts are my favourite there, and I always come out so full and satisfied, would recommend for a first date and even a family birthday dinner, would always be returning there.
Best buffet in Perth hands down! Everything was amazing and such high quality which I find some buffets lack. Huge variety and everything I had was delicious.
Ambience: Brightly lit, spacious, layout well set out, posh looking table and chairs
Food: Large variety of seafood, Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Western, meats, salad, bread and desserts. It was near Christmas so they had Christmas themed food in addition to the usual selection. My favourite was the sushi and sashimi, meats were okay, Indian curries were good, seafood was fresh, desserts looked attractive but didn’t appeal much to me as I was too full by then. Loved the mango sorbet which was a refreshing change from all the greasy food. The food at the buffet was refilled constantly so the food was always hot and fresh.
Service: we were first brought in by a staff who asked if we wanted to be introduced to the buffet or to explore on our own. Water was refilled and plates were cleared promptly.
Overall: paid $85 on a weekday night. Great selection of quality food although comes with a premium price tag. Nice place to celebrate a special occasion. Other buffets in Perth are definitely not on the same level as this place.
Omg!! This place is amazing!! The quality of food and selection was tops. The cold seafood was great with fresh display of oysters, prawns and mud crabs. Great selection of sushi and sashimi. Hot dishes were delicious, especially the roasts. And last but not least you will not be disappointed with the selection of desserts. Just try the mini cheesecakes and ice creams! Super delicious and bursting with flavours
Staying at crown towers, we got to try epicurean for a breakfast & dinner service. Both were delicious! It’s worth the extra $$ over Atrium.
First time going for lunch and i was very impressed. I tried a little bit of everything and in my opinion if i came back next time, i would probably skip out on the salads, roast meats (they were dry) and some of the desserts and fill up more on the asian and indian cuisines offered as they were a lot more flavourful. Price for lunch was ok or fair. I would come back again.
We came for the lunch buffet not only for father's day but also for nephews first birthday. We had to book a week or so out because it was quite busy.
They had quite a large selection of food and more than normal lunch like extra meats at the carvery (The prices were higher for the day as well though). There were three main areas, the salad and cold cuts, the hot dishes and the dessert island.
There were quite a lot of items at the entree area which were nice like the oysters and beef with truffle mayonnaise. There was also a large selection of cheeses and bread.
The hot food also had a lot of variety with a carvery, European, Indian and Chinese stations, each with their own unique foods. ! personally preferred the carvery with the succulent lamb and crispy pork.
The desserts were all interesting and tasty. There was a selection of single served desserts as well as larger portions in which people can serve themselves. I thought the most interesting part was the three chocolate fountain. Nephew also got a birthday cake.
Be aware that coffee and tea is not part of the meal and you get charged for it.
A really fancy place with good service, but it is quite pricey so more of a celebratory restaurant.
Dined here after discovering there was a truffle event for the 24th July and 31st July. We managed to book for a later seating for 31st July 8.30pm after the times for 24th were fully booked. We arrived on time and was advised that the buffet closed at 9.30pm which meant we only had an hour to get food. I would be nice if they could extend these hours so that we didn’t feel like we were rushing to eat.
Pretty impressed with the truffle dishes. The Truffle mashed potato was delicious. We also had truffle mushroom risotto, truffle ravioli with parmesan, edamame beans with truffle, truffle pork sausage with truffle jus, toast vegetables with truffle, Truffle king crab soup, mushroom and truffle soup with croutons, truffle naan with lamb roganjosh and fresh shave truffle on top. We missed out on the truffle scallops which was a tad disappointing. The truffle naan and lamb roganjosh was really good! The curry had a nice kick to it which made it really good! The Truffle king crab soup was on the saltier side, but the mushroom truffle soup with crotons was delicious!
We tried some of the truffle desserts, not so much of a big fan with those. The mango sorbet was refreshing though. Overall a pretty decent meal and experience.
Well, ive been really wanting to try out this restaurant but was going to Atrium instead becaue of cost, until today
Restaurant entrance is a bit hard to find with minimal signage.
Wheelchair access was no problem and staff were friendly , helpful and quite easy to get attention from.
The food choices were almost endless and i tried alot of dishes.
Most dishes were delicious but the odd one missed the mark.
Only disappointing thing is that almost all deserts included fruit, which i cant eat.
The staff was very welcoming, we made a booking and excellent choice to where we were seated. The food was good, there wasn’t that much to choose from compared to Atrium which had all different cultures of food to choose from. The dessert was amazing.
Absolutely bloody superb! What a spread! The food choice is amazing but the quality of the food is top notch! Lunch is $55 a head and so very worth it. The Oysters are to die for and the Indian selection is just so delicious. This is such a brilliant value for money place to eat surrounded by all the luxuries of the Crown complex. The staff are fast and friendly and the desert options are worth saving some room for. Will make sure we go here again - superb!
I love coming to this place for any meal of the day. Very good quality food and service. Breakfast is great value if you can eat a lot of it because proper coffee is included. Love the lunch and dinner options as well. I usually come during the week for lunch as it’s cheaper. But drinks aren’t included with lunch and dinner. Only go here if you are prepared to eat as you won’t get your money’s worth otherwise. Atmosphere is very nice. Will definitely be back!
Great breakfast buffet style at Epicurean. The choice is almost limitless, from seafood to all kinds of sweets, for every taste. Good quality ingredients and great presentation. Highly recommended.
Came here on a wednesday night. It was packed. I love how they arranged all of the different kind of foods. I also love their hospitality. and the best part about that night was: THE DESSERTS. I LOVE ALL OF THEM. There are lots of different choices of desserts. If you love chocolate, they have tons of chocolaty dessert. But if you don’t love chocolate, do not worry! they also have plenty of non-chocolate desserts. Looking forward to go back there and eat moreee food.
We really enjoyed our experience here. While the buffet disappointedly wasn’t any step up in quality from the Atrium (and there is far less variety), it’s lovely to be seated in an uncrowded, modern setting and the whole design of the Epicurean is spectacular. Service was good and while I won’t rush back, this is definitely a great option for a special occasion.
Just wow! I must say that I had my best dining experiences at Epicurean. The variety of food was spectacular🤩 and I have to point out that the pork belly🤤 was something from a different world. The oysters were yummy and the waiter Trang was beautiful😍 and provided excellent service.
Unfortunately my perfect night was let down by the dessert😥. The brownies were too hard which made me very sad as I love dessert. In addition I have to also say that the Asian selection of food was average at best.
To conclude this review, I finished the night full and in a good mood. The food was something created by a talented chef, but maybe the chef who made the brownies needs to try harder (sorry, not sorry).

From the very moment we pulled our overnight bags through the immense foyer of Crown Towers Perth, I felt relaxed. The luxury hotel is Crown Perth’s glittering jewel. With so much to see and do on the Burswood peninsula, it’s the perfect spot for a family stay-cay. We headed downstairs for breakfast at Epicurean, but instead of the luxe buffet, we opted to enjoy the good weather and order from the a la carte menu outside.
My husband and I had the 8pm seating. Although there were a lot of people the lines for the buffet weren’t too long. Excellent service. A good variety for foods, unfortunately not enough room in my stomach! The food was all presented beautifully, was was delicious! I’d love to come back!
Came here for dinner on a Monday night. Seating was beautiful, atmosphere was amazing, service was attentaive and lovely. There was soo much food. Great variety. Food was constantly replenished. Everything was just fantastic!! The sashimi station was on point!!
Best buffet in WA so far! For the price you pay you get Hugh variety of food from all around the world and even more impressive line-up of desserts! Furthermore you get a classy fine-dining ambiance with great service to top it up! Yes, if you want to be pedantic there maybe upsetting meals / items here and there, and yes, the 2-hour limits maybe an offset, but for the price you pay, it is surely worth it!
Highlight for me, apart from the dessert, would be the crabs (they even have chili crab ala singapore), the oysters, and the roast pork :)
Beautiful world class surroundings. Six of us went on a Monday for lunch to celebrate an anniversary. The choice of food at the buffet was, for the most part, Eastern and while it was quite nice we would have liked a choice of other cuisines. The desserts did not taste freshly made. Staff were friendly and overall it was a good experience apart from these minor issues.

Absolutely delicious selection of buffet goodness. Love the seafood station, oysters were epic! Beautiful hot food options too. And the dessert bar - I could go on forever!
Huge selection of excellent food, though it's very $$$. We arrived at the very start of dinner service and the selection was both fresh and abundant. The staff were also very indulgent of my toddler, who also thankfully behaved herself (whew!)! There's plenty of space to move around, so you don't feel like you're encroaching on your neighbours, and the overall look of the place was beautiful. Sadly, I've overindulged and have massive food regerts right now, so the thought of going back is currently making me feel a little ill... but odds are once I've digested my dinner I'll be happy to go back someday!
Dined at the Epicurean with friends. Buffet was very well presented and had so many options. Seafood was fresh, some mains excellent some ok, desserts delightful. Staff very friendly and professional. Great atmosphere.
Had the breakfast buffet when staying over, great looking restaurant and friendly attentive staff.
Loads on offer from all over the world and great selection of pasty and baked goods.
Ok, a bit expensive but it is fantastic food, great variety and stunning setting. Typically do Buffett with the family but this place is different. Give it a go as it has something for everyone and rocks. Downside is the 2 hour sitting.
This place is really expensive it cost me $95 for the buffet. If your a seafood lover and can eat a lot, it has nice prawns and really good oysters. I think if your not a big eater just go somewhere else. The quality of the food is really
Nice also
One of the best buffets in Perth. Love the variety of food and the desserts were absolutely amazing. Service was good and efficient. Great atmosphere and highly recommended.
This place has a truly amazing spread and can tickle your tastebuds with a variety of authentic cuisines. I’ve been here quite a few times and was never disappointed with the variety, quality and service. Pricing is also moderate.
Been here multiple times since the restaurant opened up in Perth. For me, there have the best buffet in Perth so far but still unable to compare to the buffet in most Asian countries.
There have a good variety of food .The seafood here was very fresh. The highlight was definitely the decors and the dessert station. There have a huge variety of dessert to choose from, some taste quite nice and some pretty average.
It cost around $95 per person for dinner on the weekend and public holiday. Didn't really like the restrictive timing there had considered paying $95 pp on a weekend dinner and get told we have to leave in half an hour after seated down for one and half hour.
This is actually a tough review. Why? Because there are so many good things to say, but somewhere lurking inside, I was a little disappointed.
The staff were exceptional. Friendly, helpful, courteous,... Everything we like, so thanks guys.
The ambiance was welcoming. Even at it's busiest, we didn't feel crowded, nor did we have to shout to have a conversation.
The selection of food was plentiful as was the volume. At no time did I see a dish get even close to empty before it was replenished. The seafood was definitely the winner for me, always is. The presentation of the food was also pleasing.
The price was as you would expect for eating at the Crown. Might have been nice to have a glass of wine or a coffee in the price, but definitely not a deal breaker.
Overall, thanks to all for a great presentation.
...still don't know what it was!!!🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Everything about buffet lunch on a Sunday was fantastic …. The food, the service, the presentation - all of it was perfect. Definitely do not eat breakfast on the day you go to Epicurean! Most definitely the fresh seafood and salad bars were the highlight. It’s a fantastic place for large groups of people! It’s pricey ($115 per person) but worth it !!
It’s always nice here however, the prawns were very wet and it was clear they had either been frozen or sitting on ice for so long that the ice had melted and made a bath for them. The Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni was yummy however the edges of it were a bit dry and tough possibly due to being sat out in the open air for a while.
The Truffle Mash Potato was magnificent as always as well as the Butter Chicken. Lovely to see that they continue to serve these favourite dishes of mine, seeming unchanged over the years. The vast variety of cultural cuisine is wonderful as I could enjoy some Fried Rice and Sushi then have a plate full of Roast Meats and Curry.
The staff are always lovely here and are very quick to clear away empty plates, top up your water, serve drinks and even provide a bowl for the seafood shells.
Lastly, the dessert was delicious and abundant in variety. My favourite will always be the Chocolate Pudding with a scoop of Whipped Cream. I tried the Mini Cheesecakes and Chocolate Mousse and I think the fruitiness of the Cheesecakes helped to cancel out the sweetness of the Mousse as it was very rich. The Raspberry and Lime Cake was super tasty with a strong lime taste that still had a touch of sourness to it.
Unfortunately I was so full that I didn’t have time to try the Strawberry Shortcake or the variety of Profiteroles. For those who like a more simple dessert they have a variety of small tubs of ice cream which is great to satisfy a small sweet tooth.
While the price is up there, it is nice to celebrate a special occasion here. With family being employed by Crown, the staff discount or crown rewards are definitely worth taking advantage of especially to enjoy a 1 hour and 45 minute meal here as each session is timed. The time may initially seem short but it is plenty for a big meal, break, then big dessert, as well as time for chit chat.

Need I say more! We work hard and live once....so life is to be enjoyed. The reward was a purely decadent high tea here in a classy ambiance. Such a great range of top quality dishes and opulent all the way. Definitely one of those moments to remember.
Amazing lunch for my birthday celebration. Great for people the like cold food such as oysters, sashimi, salads, prawns ect. Although the oysters could have been more fresh. Not as good hot food options. Deserts are amazing. The surprise birthday cake from the chef was nice! Cocktails are amazing.
Havent had buffet for a long time. First time here and wow so many fooooooood choices! Great quality meat, fresh seafood, awesome dessert! Was so full after the meal, happy tummy!
