Everything was perfection - the food, the drinks, the staff.
We had x2 small plates & shared the pork main which was amazing!
The staff were so warm and welcoming and suggested food options. Great vibe in the place as well.
Could not recommend this place more highly! Thanks for an amazing meal
My goodness the food was amazing.
My choice of meal was the lamb ribs, to die for!
Sticky, delicious with every mouth full your mouth just waters. I am from Melbourne and certainly will tell all my relatives in Perth about this place. I would fly over just to have this dish again. My friends had the steak, salmon and pork belly and loved their dishes too. Excellent service to boot! A meal to remember. Thanks
Incredible service from initial enquiry, supported complex dietary requirements, Feed Me menu was incredible! So much variety and amazing flavours.
Service was so friendly and accommodating. Good timing of food coming out. Great selection of local and international wines. Overall very smooth experience and would highly recommend.

Bivouac has remained a firm favourite of mine for a few years now, with good reason. Modern, middle eastern inspired dishes with a unique twist, big on flavour, quality & coupled with good service. On our most recent visit, we ordered:
Grilled Kefalograviera cheese with honey (delicious)
Cauliflower (amazing, my favourite & a must try any time you visit bivouac)
Roast whole goat shoulder (divine & again a must try if it’s on the menu)
Potatoes (very good)
Carrots (bland, only dish of the night we didn’t enjoy)
Eggplant (pretty good)
Didn’t try the dessert menu on this occasion, but I do remember their fried doughnuts being delicious in the past. Definitely worth a visit if you haven’t dined here yet.

Bivouac, in the heart of Northbridge on William Street offers a variety of Middle Eastern and Meditteranean fare. The food is designed for sharing, including small plates and larger plates. We started with a mocktail – a citrus based fruity delight with a hint of sourness. From the small plate section we chose the Israeli duck liver pate with mustard kasundi, pickles and matzah crackers. This was such a beautiful dish, really rich and flavourful. The pickled radishes were incredibly good.
This place is so nice! Such good quality food to lighten up your mood :)
We ordered “feed me” course and that was good! But there were no details of that course on menu at all and they should mention it, I think. Staffs were totally awesome.
Outstanding!
I haven’t been here for a few years, but it was even better than I remembered.
Feed me menu was plentiful, and delicious. Every dish a winner. Staff were fab.
Highly recommend, and will definitely be back.
Been several times and it never disappoints
A small, friendly establishment, not overly styled or themed asthetic. We did the “feed me” option to feed a large group (preset menu $55pp). Very filling, and flavour packed, only minor issue was the goat shoulder was a bit fatty and eggplant was chewy, but over all exceptional in taste and presentation. Very friendly and engaged staff.
Bivouac: temporary accommodation; or a tent-like camping room. But I’d happily camp out at this Bivouac. I was blown away by the food. And the service was perfect. Laid back but effective. When we explained that we had a theatre show to go to at the nearby State Theatre Centre they were happy to make sure that our food came through quickly giving us plenty of time to savour without rushing.
The chicken musakhan was delightful. Perfectly cooked half chicken with a perky surprise in the 9spice skin crusting. The unusual middle eastern flavours wonderfully accentuated by the sweet softness of braised leeks and creamy babagounash with enough chilli bite to make it Interesting.
The seafood chraime had amazing flavours. And the staff were only too happy to provide upon request some freshly made flat bread to mop up the too-good-to-leave broth.
A side of charred broccolini with tahini, lemon and paprika was the perfect partner.
The wine list is small but - cliché - perfectly formed. With some interesting and international selections comfortably outnumbering the local wines.
All in all Bivouac is highly recommended based on my experience. And totally justified the price and my generous tip. Take a camping trip here yourself some time soon.
Tapas-style restaurant. I enjoyed the beetroot very much. Broccollini was delicious. But the lamb I thought was just ordinary with some bits quite tough.
