Booked this place for a good friend’s birthday. Greeted with smiling faces and promptly showed to our seats. We opted for the special $69pp degustation menu. St Micheal’s were very accomodating to all our dietary requirements. Everything we had was delicious. Great service, great food and great company. Definitely coming back again!
Not too much to say about this place other than to say the kitchen knows what they are doing and service one can only dream of (and with a smile). Generous degustation menu with Groupon though well worth it without the deal given the quality and attentive service. It just made it better. Each protein was cooked to perfection. Standout was the scallop and pork cheek. Close second was the roast barramundi (pictured) - can't get much better than a Barra done with love. Thanks so much to the staff and hope to return on next visit to Perth.
Fantastic dining experience. The staff and service were exceptional. They were all friendly, efficient and professional.
We had the seven-course dinner and the food was amazing. Our favorite dish was the Scallop and Pig's Cheek. Highly recommended.

With modern, minimalist decor interspaced with whimsical takes on pre-renaissance religious painting, St. Michael 6003 is a treat for the eyes and the palate, with friendly service to boot.
Ordered two sets of the prix fixe $69pp menu which included:
- oregano bread + butter (delicious, springy bread with the softest flavoured butter)
- tasmanian salmon, fennel, tomato, ginger, yuzu (entree choice 1)
- scallop, pig's cheek, galangal, turmeric, spiced cucumber (entree choice 2)
- duck breast, confit leg, cabbage, cocoa, sherry vinegar (main choice 1)
- ranger valley beef flank, eggplant, miso, peanut (main choice 2)
- milk chocolate, pistachio, citrus, caramel (dessert choice 1)
- trio of cheese, house made lavosh, bits (dessert choice 2)
The menu updates regularly so be on the lookout for new treats!
The duck breast and the milk chocolate desserts were the two clear standout dishes; the former with perfectly rendered skin and beautiful, classic flavour pairings and the latter a genius combination of lemon curd, pistachio, chocolate mousse and cake with perfectly balanced flavour and texture. Top points also to the oregano bread and the house made lavosh.
I like how they are experimenting with the flavours of other cuisines (and maintaining french-level finesse in execution) – the scallop and pig's cheek dish had a strong but balanced thai influence which I enjoyed. The Japanese homage with the beef dish of eggplant and miso was a little off, the flavour combinations were confusing and the beef was tough (though this is expected of even a great quality beef flank).
Great value for money, especially if you have an entertainment book voucher! Will be back on another special occasion to try a new menu of treats...

Now I've been here on 3 occasions so far in 2018 with different people and all (including me) have been impressed with the food, atmosphere and service. The dishes are varied, thoughtful and creative - the same could be said of the wine list. Quality place to take family and friends if you want to impress. I'd definitely go back as I consider it a "jewel" of a restaurant diagonally opposite the Queens Hotel in Highgate.
A great night out with friends. Good service lots of laughs great food. Moderately priced drinks, food came out very quickly. (20 mins) service was great. Nice menu.
Had an enjoyable experience here last night. The room that houses the restaurant is great, beautiful ambience and very polished! Food was up there but wouldn’t say it’s the best fine dining we’ve had in Perth (our special occasion restaurant used to be Amuse’, still hunting for a replacement).
Staffing/ service was very patchy, what appeared to be the owner/ manager was brilliant and so was another older staff member however the juniors seemed to struggle with fine dining basics such as topping up tables wine glasses/ even pouring a glass of wine when they bring a bottle over and explaining meals when they’re served. Despite this they were all very nice and it was excused because of how friendly they were.
Could be a very good restaurant with some better service and maybe some more effort in their degustation dishes.
Even after about 10 visits, still one of my most favourite restaurants in Perth of all time. The flavours and detail in the food are next level and the service and ambiance is great every time. Will continue to return time and time again!
We all decided to go for the $95 seven course tasting menu. It was overall ok although we've had better degustations elsewhere. My favourite course was the dessert, and the scallops were good too.
Staff were very friendly however, lacked a bit of attentiveness as they did not seem to come back with the correct number of cutlery at almost each course and had to grab an extra of something and come back. We only had 5 people, wasn't like a massive group.
Nice and cosy place. Great service. Came here for the 7 course tasting menu and it was delicious! Thw scallop dish was the highlight of the dinner. Great combination and balance. Highly recommended.
I've been to many course menus and there are usually a mix of nice things and things that don't quite match our palate. St Michael 6003 provided us with a really wonderful experience and was the first time that we've actually enjoyed every food item that came out. The chefs managed to bring out the best of each ingredient. We aren't big eaters, so we felt very full after the seven courses. Staff were very polite and attentive, and the setting had a relaxed sophisticated vibe to it.
Very lovely dining experience! I went for a friends surprise birthday dinner and the food and atmosphere were fantastic! I enjoyed the 7 course degustation and the staff were quite friendly and helpful.
7 Course Degustation
The third coarse, beautifully roasted beetroot, goats cheese ice-cream with parmesan + rocket puree. As you can see it was a really nice presentation. Who would of thought to put all these flavours together, not me but everything just worked nicely together and we both thoroughly enjoyed this dish.
My wife chose for the main. A beautiful piece of Barramundi.l with great presentation and the taste was even better. I chose the Duck dish, this had lots of great flavours however it was a touch overdone.
Our favorite was the Scallop, Pig's Cheek, Galangal Turmeric + spiced cucumber. This is an amazing dish with flavours bouncing all over your tongue.
There was a pre-dessert and a dessert, thoroughly enjoyed both.
We will be coming back.
We dined here for a birthday celebration and it was delightful. We dined on a Groupon vouchers, it included the 7 course degustation and 2 glasses of wine. Every course was cooked perfectly and was well seasoned. The standout was the sous vide Margaret River wagyu rump, this course was cooked medium rare and it just melted in the mouth. Each course was perfectly timed, there was no long wait times. Would definitely be back.
A shining light on a struggling Beaufort St dining precinct, St Michael serves up excellent fine dining and service. While the food isn't quite up to the Petite Mort level (they are both co-owned by Todd Stuart, local god-tier chef), it's still a great place to try some great flavour combinations and very well presented dishes.
Dined here with family on Saturday night. Excellent service and delicious food and I look forward to my next visit in the future :)
Fantastic dining experience. The staff and service were exceptional. They were all friendly, efficient and professional.
