Amazing American BBQ grilled meats. The lamb ribs were a standout dish, while the pork ribs were delightfully smokey and tender. Chicken wings are to die for.Corn bread melts in your mouth itself. Best ribs and burgers experience so far in Perth.always good to try it's Cocktails and mojito drinks. service was excellent too. Surely will return back.
Funky. Classy. Upbeat. Great atmosphere. Brilliant food. Chicken wings a delight. Ribs and German sausages and the best coleslaw I've ever tasted and the touch of smokey roast potatoes. Amazing Bar with many fascinating concoctions created. Terrific Staff. Love having lunch there. It's so good we just keep coming back!!!! A definite must on anyone's list of places to eat and drink.
Old Faithful does amazing BBQ, but after a day of craving burgers, it hit the spot with these doubles. Chips - amazing, burgers - juicy.... what more do you want!
My fiancé and I came here for date night on a Friday night. We were unable to book a table, but we easily secured a table in the corner by the window. Service was friendly, prompt and informative. Delicious cocktails. We shared a few dishes, which included Mac and cheese, chips, bbq chicken wings, pulled pork and brisket. It was delicious! The only let down was the beef was tough.
This is a brilliant venue with a focus on American food. The cocktails are inventive quirky and delicious, and the food is to die for - especially the chicken wings. Do yourself a favour.
Had the pleasure of being recommended this place when I came to Perth for a work trip! The food!! Wowsies!! Was I impressed! The meats were gorgeous, full of flavour and just full of goodness. If I ever came back to Perth I'd be sure to stop by here again.
Great staff and food. We had the pork belly, pork neck, tri top and beef cheek. All good but the pork neck was the stand out and they even had my favourite Boston Tingletop cider. The venue can be noisy would be the only thing that may put some off.
Went for dinner for the husbands birthday... usually Side Door BBQ in Highgate is our BBQ restaurant. We were very impressed!! The seating option for two people are limited - share a big table with a group of five, sit at the bar or a high table in the corner - we chose the high table and it was ok for a couple hours, after which your back and butt will hurt! The waitress was as terrible as they come, but the food well and truly made up for it!! As seasoned Jalapeño Popper fans I can say these are by far the best but also hottest I’ve ever had!! Well worth a visit - just not family friendly.
Went here for a lunch with colleague and we both agreed that it was a delicious lunch. We ordered beef brisket, pulled pig and house bacon (100gram each) for main, and fried potatoes with blue cheese sauce. These are split for 2. It was very filling. Inlike the house bacon which was thick cut and very juicy and tasteful. My colleague she prefers the beef brisket - which I do not mind either as the meat was also soft and juicy. All the meats were marinated so it came with some flavour that was good already so you did not really need to put anymore sauce. The potatoes, at $11, are plentiful and very filling - although they can be more generous with the sauce as some tasted rather bland due to lack of sauce.
Old Faithful Bar & BBQ is an American BBQ joint from Jan Kulski and Talmage Andersen (Ezra Pound) and is the place to go in Perth if you’re after some of that USA inspired low and slow goodness.
Food was so good it was orgasmic. The smokey fried potatoes were to die for! Bbque chicken and beef brisket were the best ever. Loved the fresh Jim Beam Rye with fresh apple cocktail. Everything was amazingly scrumptious pub comfort food, topped off with inviting environment and good service. A real find - we will be back often to make our way through the menu.
This place makes the only brussel sprouts my husband will touch - that is a serious achievement.
On top of that, the meat platter (where you select a few small samples of meat and arrange them on a metal tray with a side of sode bread, brussel sprouts and caramelised onion) is excellent. The meat is always wonderfully cooked and 5-6 samples of meat plus sides is more than enough to feed 2. The bar is also well-stocked, the staff are very friendly, and the ambience is that of an upmarket dining hall. When it's busy you'll be seated at a long table beside other diners, which can be a perk if you're social.
If not, try going when it's a bit quieter.
Other specialities are their bourbon milkshakes (yum!) and american-style sodas.
