The Pork Belly was the best I have ever eaten anywhere, the food was small but filling and our server Tilly was the smile that tied the whole experience into a neat little happy bowtie. Shes a keeper.
dined at apple daily the other night, was close to perfect.....casual relaxed but bang on food and service...ricky you and your staff were gold..hadnt dined there for over 2 years but I will be back....especially for the bbq'd linley valley pork ribs with tamerind and chili...sticky fingers but bloody delish. cheers don
Love this place! Such a great vibe and most importantly delicious food 😋
Hands down the best restaurant in Perth.
Lovely ambiance and atmosphere. Staff were really helpful and friendly.
Food was amazing! The bao was filled to the brim with mince duck and pork.
The pork belly was crispy but the fat just melted in your mouth which was amazing and the salad was the perfect accompaniment.
The salt water duck was lovely as was the s&p squid.
The barramundi wings were not what i expected when i ordered them but was tasty and went well with the sambal and salad. Im personally not a fan of fish off the bone and hence was slightly disappointed but would still admit that it was
Very flavourful.
Overall a great experience and would definitely come back to try more of their menu.
Also their extensive bar menu is definitely a huge bonus!
Had a great meal here Friday night, highly recommend the “Feed me” option. A range of interesting beers available. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
I joked with a colleague that apple daily bar and eating house may be Perth’s chin chin with its tantalising Asian fusion food menu. After having been here I still think it has some way to go
Firstly it is a beautiful and very very large venue
With its indoor dim lighting and lots of red I would say it gives off a very romantic feel
Patrons however ranged from businessmen to groups of friends to couples
Everything is to share
Wines start at around 14 a glass - drinks menu definitely needs to be cheaper
Their smaller plates are not that small especially if you get their thrice cooked sticky pork belly which is tender sweet very delicious but probably share it with more people so you don’t clog your arteries
The red duck curry in contrast paled in comparison. Two tiny triangles of pineapple, two lychees, two cherry tomatoes (why twos) and two very organic lean looking duck legs in some watered down non spicy red curry. Very bland in contrast to the pork belly.
Expect to pay 30-50 per person
They do split bills
Quick service
Lovely ambiance and good menu providing large range of delicious Asian fusion dishes. The roti’s were perfect! Loved it and will definitely be back.
Very cool venue, busy, good service, unique drinks menu, and top notch Asian fusion cuisine. We went in a group of 5 on a Friday night and booked an early seating. We had the duck flower rolls, lamb massaman curry, chicken jungle curry, san choy bow, pork spare ribs and pulled pork pancakes which were all great. The beef satay was a bit hard, and the snapper dumplings lacked flavour. Expensive given the venue, but was a good night out and would visit again.
Most delicious asian fusion food taking some classic South East Asian flavours and making them explode with even more flavour. We shared 2 entrees and 2 mains between 2 which were perfect. Don’t hold back on the cocktails (Panda colada) Best dish was the beef short ribs served with a lychee salad which complimented it very well. Yum!
Friday night dinner rush so you can imagine the crowd. Great atmosphere, food was good - though pork ribs were bordering on dry. Pork and duck steamed buns had a generous enough filling, papaya salad was a decent size too. Pricing? Tad expensive but lovely service, location and overall happy dining experience makes up for it.
There is something very amusing about dining in an establishment that has a story to tell. Apple Daily offers just that. One of the four appointments at Print Hall, a dining cluster built in the former headquarters of The West Australian, Apple Daily promises to offer asian fusion fare amidst scantily lit passages and chinese newspaper walls.
While pork belly was the star of the evening, the accompanying nasi goreng, calamari, beef skewers and sautéed vegetables were prepared to the perfection of high end dining. The plating however stays true to a hole in the wall South East Asian eatery.
While the ambience and decor is on point, the food ranks high on the flavor meter, the staff are attentive and courteous, yet something is amiss. Perhaps the 'fusion' of flavors, maybe the red neon in the dining hall overly trying to impress, perhaps the steep prices for regular Asian fare.
Despite it all, I would definitely recommend Apple Daily for a fancy meal or a night out in the city.
