Amazing coffee and sweets. Michelle is lovely too, super kind and quick to serve you. She makes all the sweet treats from scratch and you can really tell. This is also super reasonably priced. It's hard to stay away from food monkey! Doggies welcome in the outdoor area.

I'm so miffed I didn't take a photo of my soup because it was so DAMN DELICIOUS. I didn't come in expecting to write a review but how could I not after the sweet potato soup? It's a weekly special so it won't always be around but do yourself a favour and have whatever winter warmer they have going. So damn good! 😫

Great coffee and I had the best bacon, egg and cheese bagel. That is a 5 from me.

A great place for lunch with a good combo option. The portions are generous and the quality is always excellent. I've not had a bad meal here. The Asian chicken salad was amazing! The coffee is not the strongest but the flavour is always good and never burnt. Do it. 😀

I keep visiting Perth on a regular basis since 2015, and I never skip visiting this place. The bagels are the best I have ever had, including the service. Inside spaces are homey and cozy, and I love the overall vibe. Their breakfast menu is unbelievable, including the price. The food is generous with the stuffing and toppings, and the people working there are always willing to go the extra mile with a smile on their faces. I love this place and I always feel good here. All rounder amazing cafe for breakfast. Simple food done right, cheap, super quick and friendly service. Definitely value for money and would recommend to anyone. Worth the 20 minute drive in :)

We came here this morning as Little Bird cafe across the road was closed. Pleasantly surprised, very happy with my choice of breakfast! Servings are large, my happy hungry vego dish was delicious!! Coffee was good. And the prices are so reasonable. Not many places in Perth that charge less than $10 for eggs on toast! Will def come back

I realised this weekend that this was the casual brunch cafe by which I judge all others in our area. The food is incredible value and the service is great. I paid $16.50 for a bagel elsewhere this weekend and it wasn't half as good as the ones on Food Monkeys menu (and I think FM's are about half the price!). Coffee is always nice and it has a great veranda to sit and people watch.

A nice little cafe at the top end of Northbridge - well priced, delicious breakfasts. I had the honey toasted muesli which was loaded with all sorts of dried fruit; partner had the monkey breakfast which was huge. I managed to try some of his hash brown which was homemade and very tasty. Good coffee too.

Came down to Perth for a holiday from the NT.  Went to quite a few cafes and restaurants and found the service in most was snotty and rude.  Food Monkey was a really pleasant experience. Good service, generously sized and delicious breakfast at a reasonable price served in a really comfortable environment.  Had a meal and stayed a while to chat with friends.  Great cafe, thanks Food Monkey :D

Excellent value for money. Banana Smoothie was fantastic! I had the mushroom and halloumi bagel and my husband the smoked salmon. Both were excellent and so fresh and delicious. Really curbed our bagel craving! Great customer service as well! Worth the short walk over from the Perth CBD. Thank you Food Monkey Cafe! (No pics from us, we devoured our food the moment it was put down!)

Great little place, really hits the mark in terms of value for money, quality of food, atmosphere. Not too fancy or pretentious, just simple and well executed. Coffee pretty good - sure, I've definitely had better, but not for $3.50 and not without a massive queue!<br/><br/>Staff were friendly, laid back and accommodating. Really enjoyed the place and definitely will be going back.

Public holiday and you would think more places would be open. Well FOOD MONKEY was!! Great food, good atmosphere, awesome value and a hidden surprise! I always thought it was just front of house outside seating but they have 3 infoor seatibg rooms set up like highschool common rooms, adds to a great vibe and good for winter seating!

Deliciously cheap. My new favorite! All very well priced. I ordered the avocado smash and paid under $10, and it was incredible. The team who work there are super nice, and really down to earth, you feel like you're just at home. I love this place! (And a refreshing change from the pretentious vibes across the road).

Delicious & satisfying. A delicious and satisfying option for breakfast, brunch or lunch - that doesn't break the budget. Plenty of vego/vegan options. Terrific coffee! Efficient, cheerful service. Nice outdoor area at the front, though only a few tables there. Will be back for more!

Had amazing breakfast of eggs on beautiful sourdough toast with a hash brown. Sat in a very relaxing room on a rainy day, feeling very content. Very reasonable prices, superb service and would definitely visit again.

Delicious food and great service. Had breakfast there on the weekend and it was amazing. So many places don't cook the bacon enough but they had it spot on. And there was more than enough food to fill us up. Such cheap prices as well. Will definitely be going back there soon.

Had an AMAZING sandwich!. I had the chicken, bacon, and cheese sandwich. It comes with chips as well. It was under $10 and I'm stuffed. It was delicious, super filling, and the chips were spot on. I'm very happy with my experience!

Coffee was awful. Went there Saturday morning around 7.45am and no one was there so the barista could concentrate on making my cup of coffee. The guy server on the till was nice. $3.50 for a long macchiato, I'm pretty happy with that.<br/>Then she started making the coffee and by the looks how she made the milk was pretty awful but I didn't want to judge her on that, all I need was the taste.<br/>When I grabbed my take away long macchiato, the paper cup was HOT. So I knew this was wrong already. A good milk should be on a range 60-65 degrees Celsius. Needless to say, I burnt my tongue. I couldn't really had the real taste of the coffee until it cools down a bit, so I waited and tried again, and it was pretty horrible. I thought it was my burnt tongue, but I gave my friend a taste and he said it was one of the worst coffee he ever tasted and I didn't even tell him where I bought it.<br/><br/>I was disappointed because it wasn't busy or anything. It was just bad coffee making.<br/><br/>I'll come again to try the foods and I'll try the coffee again and hopefully it'll be better next time.<br/>Good price though :)<br/><br/><br/>Additional notes: this cafe used to be called "Shots on Lake". And in 2013/2014, the coffee was a hit and miss depending on the barista. It uses Five Senses beans (don't know what origins) and Synesso machine. The food was fantastic.

Meals. Had the Cajun chicken wings for lunch yesterday and they were awesome .great service will definitely be back to this place

When some new friends invited me to Food Monkey for brunch recently, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable their prices were. The menu had plenty of food options under the $10 mark, with a few closer to $15 if you feel like splurging a little more.
