Got here during week nights and it was such a lovely place to be. Quite secluded so it is so easy to talk to the people you have dinner and the place is quite lovely. I have to say that the wine is sufficient and the food is quite good too considering I do not normally like hotels restaurants food as they are way too basic most of the time. To start with, which is my favourite dish throughout the night is actually the scallops, potato carbonara and crispy pancetta which I think is quite tasty to share between two people! For mains, we tried the Harvey Bay scotch fillet which cooked nicely, goat's cheese ravioli and the twice cooked duck is so tender and the Sunkist makes it quite an interesting combination. Overall the food is good and I think I would come back for the scallops.
Stayed at Mercure hotel for few nights. Had the buffet breakfasts for 2. I'm very impressed with this joint. The cost worked out to about $12 each per buffet breakfast!

I have No Wheat, No meat, No dairy. And the options are awesome, my wife had bacon,eggs and all sorts. Coffee is fantastic.

Service is second to none. They'll cook custom omelettes if you ask and bend over backwards for patrons. Incredibly friendly and genuine. Not scared to converse at length.

I had the pleasure of dining here on Friday night with 2 of our dear friends.
The service was prompt and friendly without being intrusive.
The food was spectacular - scallops were perfect, the meat was delicious and perfectly cooked with fine accompaniments, and the banana crepe dessert brought this culinary experience to another level.
All of the dishes were generously portioned - a very nice change from some restaurants where you leave the establishment with an empty wallet and an empty stomach.
I would happily return and will recommend this fine restaurant to others.
Such a lovely atmosphere with attentive staff and delicious food. Food was tasty and of good quality. Although a bit pricey, they make it up by the serving size. What a hidden gem!
The buffet breakfast is decent, except the poached eggs weren't really poached (yolks were hard). However food was replenished and plentiful. I enjoyed the breakfast overall. They had the usual, pancakes, hash browns, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, fried rice, scrambled eggs, and a surprising selection of pastries. Croissants were nice.
Have also been here for dinner, and service was great however a little too attentive (too many different waiters asking how our meal was) however the food was delicious and this place definitely deserves a higher rating!! Will be back!
Went for dinner with husband last Sunday. Loved it! So we decided to go back again today.
Nothing negative I can say about this place. Among the two visits we have tried the following dishes:
Side dishes: Pizza bread, Mash potato
Main: BBQ pork ribs, Exmouth barramundi, Market fish
All are very tasty and staff are very attentive, polite and welcoming.
Highly recommend BBQ pork ribs. Other dishes we tried are good too.
Enjoyed a 3 course meal with five others for the very first time on a Monday night Public Holiday. Food and service excellent. Nothing was too much. Catered for every whim and need.
Lovely calm and quiet ambience, Friendly staff who are not intrusive, Tasty well sized portions of food. The ribs are to die for and the dessert menu is not the run of the mill. Some yummy calories to consume. Happy to return here anytime!!
It had been a while since we went out for a nice meal in a restaurant, and after seeing some good reviews from fellow bloggers, I decided to surprise MaPa with this place. Good thing there are little signs that show you the way to this little unassuming restaurant. Nestled on the ground floor of the Mercure Hotel, the interior was gorgeous.
The biggest oysters I have ever eaten! Service was outstanding. Beautifully decorated venue, beautiful atmosphere and surprisingly modern background music. The food was beautifully presented, with surprisingly large portions however... The quality of the food was very average. Each and every dish (entree - scallops, prawns; mains - duck, chicken). The desserts were fun and tasty and a good note to end on.
Was there on a Saturday night. Ordered winter special (lamb shank), butter chicken and pizza fr the kids menu. The food was 5 stars and service is pleasant too BUT the waiting time is simply too long. First time in a restaurant where there were so many tables without food on the table and everyone is just looking around hopefully. If you are looking for good food but dun mind waiting for more than 45 min u can give it a try.
Like a cafe. Not so much choice. But good steak, good barramundi. Kids menu.
