Nice coffee , cute atmosphere , good food from the looks of the dude sitting a bit further along the bench eating his all day big brekky - looks like a chipmunk hes got that much stuffed in his mouth- must be good! Cool cushions too.

The iced chocolate and hot chocolates were amazing but there was only one staff member working with dark hair, fringe and glasses and she was so mean and moody. I think she was the manager or something.

Havent been here for ages since we came for breakfast once. Breakfast was disappointing and got no wow factor. Back then I wasnt a coffee snob like these days, we probably didnt try their coffee. So I went back and bought their coffee on the weekend. It's surprisingly good. I would definitely go back for coffee, not food.

Don't get to that part of the CBD very often but on a friend's recommendation I trotted down to give this cafe a try. I am glad that I did because I enjoyed my coffee/lunch! <br/><br/>Mercado Negro's food isn't fancy but it is nice and the coffee is good. The fact that it is on the cheap side which is a bonus.

Mercado Negro is a consistent cafe in terms of both the coffees and food. Service is quick and pleasant. The lunch menu consists of mainly sandwiches- and the fillings are great. The caesar salad with chicken is also pretty good (and generous in terms of portion size). As a bonus, they also stock topdup doughnuts intermittently!

I go here every morning for coffee and it is by far my favorite little cafe in Perth. The staff are friendly and remember how I have my coffee, plus they have TXT ordering which is awesome and saves time.

This place is the best for coffee and muffins. I love the lemon crumble muffin. It's the best muffin I've ever eaten and ask the staff to warm it up for you. It's fluffy and not overly sweet. Should've taken photo before I eat it so you can see but it's too much to resist eating it straight away 😁 love the farmer's roll too but I think they increased the price. So quite expensive for me now. Staffs are great and polite.<br/><br/>Edit: added the photos. Sorry for the cut up muffin. Was about to eat it before I remember to take photo. That's how irresistible it is. :)

Eggs on toast $12 They put the eggs on the toast then serve butter on the side. You have to remove the eggs to butter the toast. Good but pricey.

Great food and coffee. Went here for a long breakfast as it was raining all day. The food, coffee and ambience was excellent. Overall, an enjoyable and comfortable place to have breakfast.

It's okay... The first time I entered the cafe, I was not greeted and when asked if I were to be seated or order at the counter as there was no direction or indication, I was growled at by the girl at the counter then shoved a menu and was told to sit "wherever" shortly after I ordered a coffee to go but to have brekky there I was served coffee in a takeaway cup without the lid? The vegetarian breakfast served was average. The coffee was decent, the only reason why I would go back there would be Molly langleys raw treats and the coffee. Be warned, the raw treats are $8 a pop

As I work near by this cafe I stop by quite often for a tea or coffee. The service is just excellent, always friendly but casual on the same time. I love the green tea I get from there and latte is always great. Their flour-less blueberry cake is yumm. Best place to go for a coffee in the city. I will surely try out their food soon as well.

Best brew in town. This cafe is a facelift of my old favourite, Cafe 54. I haven't had a chance to try the food but the coffee is AH-mazing!! You can even txt in your order in advance. Love it!!

Well I am about to make a HUGE statement. But these were the best poached eggs I have ever eaten. Perfect tasty eggs, no vinegar, not swimming in water & cooked to perfection - soft pillows of eggy goodness!!! My partners scrambled eggs were awesome too! Well seasoned, light and fluffy. This place is a gem, coffee fantastic, good prices, nice vibe. I wanted to quit my job and start working in the city again just so I could frequent this gem! Highly Highly recommended! Hats off the chef, eggs are quite simple things to cook, but many chefs always manage to get them wrong! Not this chef!! I will Definitely try to go back for breakfast!

Love this cafe! Great food and exceptional coffee, some of my favorites are on the breakfast menu. The new interior fitout has revamped the whole place and gives great options for areas to sit depending on your mood. Service with a smile and all for a great price too, I highly recommend a visit.

Love the feel of this cafe and the new menu is amazing!! <br/>I don't drink coffee but my husband is a very fussy coffee drinker and he raves about it. I'm a fussy tea drinker and the choice of teas is great which you don't find often.
