Review Real Mountain - Perth

What a great find, conveniently located in the Hills at Glen Forrest. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced (see the online menu). Pretty standard serving sizes so easily enough left over for a lunch the following day! It's decor is pleasant, the view through the window is OK - village greenery and an old cottage - and the atmosphere is very nice. It's a pleasant change to have appropriate music in an Indian restaurant. Staff are pleasant and accommodating but did take some time to get their attention (understaffed as is common in these pandemic times). Highly recommended.

Wish I had read the reviews first. Tasteless, oily, food and delivery took 2 hours from ordering until arrival at our house, which is only 2.7km from the restaurant. Do yourself a favour and avoid ordering from here through Uber eats as the restaurant have to wait until they can get a driver in the area. It was not the Uber delivery drivers fault...he was only given the job an hour and fifty minutes AFTER I placed the order. I phoned the restaurant to voice my concerns (complain!) and they blamed the Uber service. They acknowledged this happens often as they can't get drivers in the area when they want them...so why use Uber eats if you know you can't reliably deliver to people in a timely manner!?!?! I could have forgiven getting our meal at 9.15pm if the food was good, but because it sat in a bag waiting for a driver for more than an hour, it was awful..samosas soggy, rice cold, meat cold. Shoulda gone with plan B and had eggs on toast instead of still eating at 9.30pm. AVOID.

Horrible. First time, Very bad butter chicken, beef masala with no flavour and naan tasted like cardboard. Gave them another chance, ordered via uber eats at 530 pm same order as above, delivery kept pushing out until 830 pm then it got cancelled. No food. No call from restaurant. Called restaurant and they just blamed uber eats. No accountability or offer to do something different, just too bad for you. Never again. PoS Gonsky!

OMG! My (adult sons) had told me about this place in GF, where the curry was tops. They shouted me it tonight. Woah, BEST purchased curry, EVER! (And we've been around the traps and visited the most elite curry restaurants). We will be back and I can't wait to get my hubby some vindaloo!!! Portions generous. 11/10 peeps! We'll be back! 🙃🙃🙃 Please support them, so we can come back!

Waited half an hour after being sat down with no contact at all, watched people who had come in after us getting the water and papadam’s delivered to their tables, then when a family who appeared to be of Indian decent arrived, they were met at the door, ushered to their table, and before they had all even taken their seats they had papadam’s and water delivered to their table. Really?, if this is how you clearly discriminate against non Indian customers you clearly don’t want or need our business! This was insulting and obvious!, needless to say that after 1/2 hour of being ignored we got up and left!

Waited 2 5 hours, just to have our order cancelled. They blamed Uber Eats, but you can see from the earlier reviews / comments / calls they've received, that they've been aware of this ussue for months and have done nothing about it. Avoid

Excellent lamb (Hot n' Spicy)and Chicken Sekuwa dishes (dining in) with delicately cooked rice and perfect garlic naan bread. The sauces were rich and tasty. Service is friendly, but very slow to arrive. Of concern, we were told by the waitress to use the same dirty knives and forks we had used for starters (Momo dumplings) as we waited on our mains (25 minutes). We wiped the cutlery clean with a napkin to avoid a hassle for the overworked waitress serving in the busy dining area.

Excellent food, consistently good, we have had takeaway from here about once a fortnight for the last two years, the staff are friendly, I might have been a little disappointed once in 50 times, a high standard for a reasonable price

had a take away the other day from here and was really surprised with the amazing quality of the food!! Would even go as far to say it was one of the best Curry’s I’ve had in Perth!!

Great food, poppadoms and nan’s had a bit too much oil on them but my real mountain special was fabulous. The whole family was stuffed and the price was good. We will be back. Oh and the beer was nice and cold!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Food took over an hour and a half to be bought out to the two of us (we ordered within 10 minutes of arriving). Nobody in the restaurant had food on their tables apart from the free papadums that come complimentary and are all prepped. We were not offered if we would like to purchase a drink at any point in time, a bottle of tap water was simply placed on the table.
There was no apology, explanation or compensation as to why the food took close to two hours to be bought out to us (we ordered 3 dishes all up- 1 being rice). Very disappointing is an understatement and will never return or recommend to anyone. Very sad as the food was enjoyable - once it finally got to us - and I am all for supporting local businesses, however, I will not be supporting this one!

Came here for takeaway after after a long tiring day with my partner and ordered the Mango chicken, Lamb Korma, a serve of garlic naan, cheese naan and a single serve of rice. The order was very hot so it was a perfect temperature when we arrived home to eat and I could not have asked for a better meal 👌🏼 the icing on the cake was a couple of free pappadums added and a free drink when I picked up the order. Great comfort food and service to boot.

We have had takeaway from Real Mountain 3 times now and have had a variety of dishes.
The highlight was the goat curry dish and the Daal although the last time the daal was a little watery.
The food itself is above average.
However the wait time is excessive. We were told 25 mins for our meal. We arrived at 25 mins and then waited a further 20 mins and the restaurant was not busy.
Also there is a lot of noise (shouting) from the kitchen

Went to this restaurant this evening. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Had the mixed tasting plate for entree. Very generous and delicious, everything so tasty. We had the coconut prawns, goat curry and also the biryani rice. Everything was delicious. Best Indian we've had in a long time. Surprised about the first two reviews on this site and wonder if they are legit

There's plenty of Indian offerings in this region and this is not one of them. Edible, just. No flavour all sauce, sorry I have nothing positive to offer here.

I haven't had a worse Indian meal than this. Tasteless to the point that deep fried cardboard would be an option I'd chose over coming here again. The tandoori chicken had its flavour painted on and the lamb madras wasn't anything of the sort. The peshwari naan was from a packet and the onion bhaji was dry and chronically over fried. If there was a .5 rating this place would have got it. Learn to cook indian yourself is my advice if this Indian place is your closest option.

Fantastic food. Great curries, we had goat curry which was done beautifully. The Saag Paneer was as good as we have had anywhere. This is a great place to eat up in the hills. Get on it folks

An amazing meal! The curries were FULL of flavour, and left that ongoing tasty feeling in your mouth long afterwards. Best butter chicken I've found in Perth so far as it wasn't sickly sweet. They were generous with the amount of fish they included in the masala.

Fantastic service. They were running a few minutes late on my takeaway order and offered us free poppadums and a drink while we waited. I'll definitely be coming back!

We had the chicken momo, butter chicken, fish masala. pulao rice and garlice naan.

Been here a few times now and the food is made to order. - unlike some Indian Restaurants. We asked them to make a peas and cauliflower curry which was fresh and delicious. Mala, one of the wait-Staff is an absolute delight. If you like your food made with love, this is the place to come. Hope they keep it up!@

We've had dinner here several times and been impressed on each occasion. The Nepalese owners - chefs and front of house staff - are so friendly. Yes the decor could be more Nepalese /Indian but it's the food that we go for. The samosas are to die for...crisp delicious pastry filled to bursting with peas and potatoes. Dipped in the sauce they are a must have starter. We've tried several main dishes but the chicken korma and lamb dishes are our favourites. Served with a fragrant bowl of fluffy rice and butter naan and any diner would be replete. We will be back again and again. Namaste.

as below, the curries were delicious. lots of flavour and cooked with true authenticity the restaurant could do with a little bit of a make over to make it a little bit more Indian but hey the curries were all flavoursome so that made up for it. Had take away again tonight and the whole family was happy

At last, a real little beauty in the hills. Dishes are packed with spice and flavour. Lovely staff, and nice decor. Chicken jalfreezi, beef shahi korma paneer chilli ( phew .... Very good but very hot), onion bhaji. All very good.
