I’ve really enjoyed all the meals I’ve eaten here and am always impressed by the quality and taste of what I order.
There’s nothing special about the interiors which are perhaps a little dated but this local pub has a great atmosphere and is busy most nights of the week. Service is super friendly which is a huge plus and the included salad bar (which I may add is awesome) with all main meals is great :)
Just an extra point, I’m obviously not a senior but many of my family members are and the senior’s menu is really good value-for-money too 👍🏻
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and amazing service. I never realized such good pub food was served here. The portions are generous and tasty.
Not too shabby. I've been here twice over the last few months for our book club meetings. Both times it's been great. We've gone mid week so the tavern isn't too busy or noisy. The food servings are big and tasty and the wait to get food is quick. Drinks are bought at the bar. The service has been friendly and the variety of the menu is extensive. A salad bar accompanies the main meals and they have a kids menu. It's not a fancy place to eat but the food has been good the times I have eaten there. The beef tortellini was delicious last week!
PRICEY BEER. Food a little on the pricey side except for the specials in the public bar area. At least has a reasonable salad bar which is a novelty in pubs these days. But the price of beer is a complete rip off and I must say I was quite shocked to be paying $12 a pint.
What a place, very topsy turvy having had many different experiences here, if you lean towards the less pub like meals tben the foods excellent, the management however..... love it when slimy obese men talk down to you and there staff like theyre better than everyone. Look in the mirror buddy.

Great Sunday Lunch. I came here with family for a birthday lunch last Sunday, after reading the reviews on here I wasn't expecting much, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The place was packed and had a nice busy atmosphere, the food came out quickly and the servings were generous. I had the chicken fettuccine, which was good, and my partner enjoyed his Surf 'n Turf. The staff were very busy, but still polite and gave good service. I thought the prices were quite reasonable, around what you would expect to pay for pub food in Perth.
It's not fine dining, but for a pub lunch it really hit the spot. I will definitely go back.
I have eaten here a couple of times, not counting the counter meals in the sports bar, and it is OK. Really nice salad bar but the prices of some of the meals takes them out of the pub category and into fine dining. Unfortunately, whilst doing pub food really well, fine dining it is not. Paying $38 for a rack of lamb that was fatty and overcooked leaves you wishing you had the $18 fish and chips.
After living in the Kardinya area for well over a year, I decided it was time to try the Kardinya Tavern. I'm glad I did too, as the food was great, the service was quick and the drinks were cheap. Will definitely be returning!
Beautiful meal today as it was my dads birthday..service was quick and food was lovely ..Only discrepancy was manager/possible male owner needs to focus on his customers than his phone...constantly on phone while we are trying to get served ..not on phone just texting or browsing . You will loose customers this way as many customers were saying this ...customer service first ...also should not be drinking behind bar to ...otherwise nice meal 😋
Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff cant go wrong and with 5 different summer cocktails at $10 even better.. My girlfriends and I had a lovely arvo.
Garlic chicken pizza, and fried chicken pieces were delicious
Parmie was great, kids menu was a large meal but my madam ate it all she LOVED it (steak and chips)and her desert. my steak- ordered rare and bloody after explaning in great detail how i wanted it slightly still mooing but not 'blue' came out medium- slightly pink in the middle so i took it back, the next was better but still not rare, not bloody. i get this this problem all the time, at many restaurants all in all it was a great dinner with great service and friendly staff.
What a great place. Nice atmosphere, very friendly and knowledgeable bar tender and absolutely amazing food. Way too much as well, we did share the chicken schnitzel and barely managed to finish it between 2 of us.
Will definitely come again.
