Los Bravos, in William Street, is my go to place for good food – Spanish themed tapas – and wine – an eclectic selection that changes regularly, and with an emphasis on Spanish varieties. It is one of the standouts of Northbridge. The long bench at the front is a great spot for watching Northbridge pass by, while around the side, with spectacular murals looking over, is an outdoor dining and drinking area, with herb and citrus garden, while inside the bar, booths and tables and chairs with eye catching Spanish tiles perfectly capture the theme. As does the music with its salute to bouncy Spanish surf tunes.
really enoyed dinner here. highlights were the salted spanish mackerel (ordered twice), roasted mushrooms and the chicken & chorizo paella. staff and service fantastic, will be back to try more food.
The Tapas service was fast.We ordered Sangria for drinks the seafood paella, chicken Chorizo, & the char grilled Octopus was good.will be back
I've recently gone to Los Bravos as the restaurant that we initially wanted to go to was closed due to some technical issue.
It was good to check out the new restaurant.
The waitress greeted us when we entered the restaurant. As we were early she said we can sit anywhere.
We ordered 2 glasses of Sangria it was very tasty but it wasn't fruity enough.
We ordered the Cuttlefish, White Beans, Pickled Chilli, Green Mojo. It was really tasty!
We ordered the Beef Cheek, Red Wine, Cocoa, Corn dish. The beef cheek just melts in your mouth and it's very flavoursome. I will strongly recommend this dish.
Market Seafood & Saffron Paella was their weakest dish of all of the dishes we ordered. I will need to say it's on the expensive side. Although, the seafood is visible on top of the paella it wasn't that much. The market price of $45 for a seafood paella was a tad expensive. As for the paella dish, I had better elsewhere.
I will recommend the cuttlefish and beef cheek dishes.
There's room for improvement. The food is definitely small serves for the price however the taste isn't bad. It seems other reviewer's major complaints are on portion size...perhaps the staff can work on this...other reviews were scathing but seriously it wasn't horrible. It is a relatively small menu. The joint itself is fun but very noisy. Their music
comes from one source...not sure why they arent using the sound system. It was really noisy for those sitting next to that one speaker. The staff are friendly but a bit off with the fairies... we tried several times to get their attention.
Beautiful Spanish Vermouth and great idea serving a free tapa with every drink, like we do in Spain. The potatoes are nice and the portion is pretty big. The chorizo is nice but only came with 5 slices and price was 18$, slightly overrated. However, I'm coming back for sure for more Vermouth and potatoes.
Really great food and service with an open feeling!
Loved the croquettes and the Spanish sour.
The food was great and fresh, loved sitting outside on the bar to watch the streets and the service was good
Great wine list and helpful attentive staff, I really enjoyed the octopus!
Went here with an open mind and was really impressed. Got the option of the chef putting together a menu and was not disappointed. The food was delicious! The drinks were cold and the atmosphere was great. Recommended dishes include the "mushroom polenta blue cheese and truffle" main and the Paella.
There was space for a pram which made enjoying a moment with the wife and little one so much more special. Will be coming back here with a larger group soon.
