Not quite sure how they manage it but somehow the food here is both modern Greek but totally recognisable and not a hint of pretension. From the entrees the pickled octopus and the sardines were the standout. We had the kleftiko for main and the lamb fell apart at the touch of a fork, the potatoes and onions under the lamb had soaked up all the juices and caramelised. Yum! Would suggest going with a group to try more dishes

You know that it’s a legit Greek restaurant when you realise it’s a small world and that two of your Greek ex-colleagues are dining there with their partners on the same night.

...

The food was top notch quality. Our waitress recommended the slow cooked lamb shoulder with smoked eggplant puree. The dish did not disappoint. The smokiness of that eggplant was beyond smoky (did the smoke alarm go off?!) and it completely made the dish. The lamb was tender, savoury and just falling apart.

I also loved the entree dish which was a special of the night – crispy school prawns. Crispy was a bit of an understatement and I loved that the prawns didn’t taste greasy at all.

...
Finally, the dessert. Again, on our waitress’s recommendation, we ordered the souffle special of the night which was a sour cherry flavour. Look at the delightful souffle top below!

We celebrated a friend's birthday at Seed Kouzina. The Theio Sam banquet was an impressive parade of delicious Greek food. My favourites were: the trio of dips and fresh pita; the fork tender lamb kleftiko (though some people found it too rich and fatty) and the cabbage and walnut salad (I could've eaten the whole bowl). Special mention goes to the rice pudding with coconut and mango. The creamy dessert reminded me of a Weiss bar. Service was brisk but not unfriendly. Seed is definitely worth checking out if you're after good food for a big group.

The food was delicious, from the dips to the lamb, everything was perfectly prepared and authentic. The wine list was great too as, like most people, we don’t often drink Greek wine, but the white we chose paired very well with the food. The coffee flavoured creme brûlée was a great way to end the meal with the traditional coffee. The wait staff were attentive and we’d happily return.

We saw an ad board for Seed Greek Kouzina as we walked down a small road in Petersham towards the main New Canterbury Road. It read ‘6-course for $35 every Tuesday and Wednesday’. If you like eating out, I’m sure you agree with me that a 6-course meal for $35 is a very good bargain… oh I forgot to mention: you also get a glass of wine for that price!

Got to say that good Greek food is the best. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here last night. Delicious dips, gorgeous zucchini flowers and scrumptious lamb. Happy with this dinner - delicious.

There's never too much of good food ! The serves are generous and extremely well done. A good homemade modern dinning experience. Everyone is friendly and the flavors are light but heart filling!!
The three of us had 2 entrees, 2 mains and 1 salad and we were out of action !

Reviewed from Friday night, May 30: We went to Perama yonks ago and love David Tsrikas's food, but this stood on its own. Seed rocks! - the Cypriot haloumi a standout, the fritto eggplant slithers with cauliflower dip surprisingly good and the stuffed zucchini flowers rounded out a brilliant tapas-style start. However, the main of slow-braised lamb shoulder was best in show, best in Sydney for us. Service was helpful and fairly attentive. With a round of drinks, it cost the two of us $110 incl tip. We'll be back - Peter and Vicki Bartlett

A little standout in the Inner West. Had a lovely dinner here last night. The starters/sharing selection is a standout with a wide selection and reasonably priced. The stuffed zucchini flowers were excellent. The mains are a little unadventurous (other than the rabbit pie) and a bit overpriced. The deserts are exceptional. Service was great. We will be going back.

Nostimo (delicious) Greek is back!. Yippee - I feel like I've come back home (almost) to Perama. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here as we hadn't been for a while. The menu has been tweaked and it's great. The dips were tasty with flat bread, pork & cheese filo parcels were delicately flavoured, the spanokopita excellent. The prawn saganaki (though not my favourite) was flavoursome with a tomato/cheese sauce. The feta used in the greek salad was deliciously creamy. With the mains the pork neck was scrumptious and the barramundi fish of the day really nice and fresh along with a good portion of green beans and patatas. We also managed to squeeze in dessert of a lovely apple/cinnamon souffle and a poached quince dish. Will have to return to try the slow cooked lamb and the octopus. Well done Sam, Tim and staff. Yay to also having retsina - it's not a greek meal without it!

Happy returns. As old patrons of Perama we went with fingers crossed and were very pleased with the food and service. Enjoyed all the dishes, and liked the fact that there are lots of sharing plates. We will be interested to try the banquet on a Tues/Weds night for $39 a head. Good to see I can still get a retsina also. Only criticism is a bit meagre with the whitebait but it was tasty.

I was very fortunate to enjoy an outstanding dining experience at Seed Greek with a group of friends recently. The good was so delicious, packed full of authentic flavours, very reminiscent of experiences of eating home cooked food when travelling Greece many years ago. The portions are very generous and the pricing is very reasonable. The staff were attentive and friendly even when the restaurant was bustling with diners. I'm very much looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes, I highly recommend Seed Greek for a great dining experience.

After visiting Greece, I have been craving authentic Greek food ever since and I've finally found it at Seed Greek Kouzina. Delicious dishes like slow cooked lamb, Greek salad, BBQ octopus, saganaki cheese, fetta and watermelon salad took me right back to holidays under the Greek sun. The moussaka was especially outstanding and lucky for us, is also available as a frozen takeaway item! So handy to have in the freezer for easy dinners when you want to eat something really yummy but don't feel like cooking. This restaurant is a must visit guys! Highly recommended

Always a great family experience. Shared plates is obviously the way to go. Traditional Greek menu, even a few of the wines. Great service and delicious food. Give it a visit.

This review comes a few months late but when something this good, isn't reviewed, it means I need to pick up my slack. The food here was great! I can't remember our dishes but let's say we left it to our lovely waiter to choose for us, based on what we felt like. The lamb dishes were lip smacking. Dessert hit the spot. They truly delivered and can't wait to go back. We went with a group of 5 and wasn't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. Service was very hospitable, not too complicated and very attentive. Chef came out to greet us and chat about our experience, as one of the diners with us is a chef. Definitely worth checking out this Greek restaurant. We'll be going back!

Amazing place. The food is incredible and the special menu is always a surprise. The cheese saganaki is amazingly tasty as much as the pickled octopus. I didn't imagine that would be sooo good. Congrats to you guys.

Could not fault the customer service, quality of food or ambience. Dessert was passionfruit souffle served warm with vanilla bean ice cream. We were already looking forward to going back before we even left. Highly recommended.
