Make the hajj to the spiritual home of the Portuguese tart and bow down to the custardy nirvana. Some bad karma for not having EFTPOS but we can forgive that.

Frequented by locals of a certain age and ethnicity, this Petersham patisserie is neither fancy or pretentious, and offers great value sweets and baked goods. My cappuccino and Portuguese egg tart set me back $5.40.

The coffee was prepared old school with lots of froth and chocolate powder and I was enamoured by the pastel de nata, with its flaky pastry and fragrant custard.

Great nata's. The nata's at this place give Sweet Belem a run for their money. A nice selection of Portuguese pastries & sweets, very friendly service and coffee that may struggle to impress

Nice Portuguese cake shop with lots mouth watering sweets to choose from. Try the Portuguese chocolate salami while you're there. Have always used them for every occasion and they have never let me down. Very friendly staff and professional service. Happy to recommend this shop to anyone!

This is the original cake shop in Australia to introduce the Portuguese custard tart. The owner Fernando has been delighting the community for over 35 years. These are the best Portuguese custard tarts that you will ever try in your life! The shop is located in 'little Portugal' - Petersham. Many other sweets to chose from. All diets are off when visiting here!

This little Portuguese cake shop has been my favourite since I was a little girl. The pastel de nata are the real deal. The bolas de berlin are awesome and not to mention the queques (my old time favourite) as well as bolo de arroz and chocolate salami yummy YUMMY!!! You can not find it anywhere else. And when I really want to indulge I also get a can of orange sumol. Obrigado/thank you La Patisserie for the yummy Portuguese cakes you provide :).
