The Wood restaurant was great. It is pricey, but the food quality is amazing. We were wonderfully hosted, however table service was quite slow (they seemed slightly short on staff) However it was great and we will be back. Thanks to Luke who was a great host and even arranged a wine tasting after lunch for us.

It was a perfect lunch in Hunter Valley. The food was impressive and all the ingredients were super fresh. All staff were very welcoming too.

We had dinner at The Wood last night and thoroughly enjoyed the banquet menu. The barramundi and slow cooked lamb were standouts. The restaurant itself was beautiful, lots of plants provided a relaxed but elegant feel. Service was relaxed but prompt and when we had gift card drama (best restaurants) the manager rectified it in no time with minimal fuss. Extensive local and international wine list. I'd definitely go back! Thank you for making my birthday dinner a wonderful one!

We were thrilled to be one of the first diners at The Wood last Sunday on their opening weekend. They really have a lovely, modern setting and the food was wholesome, tasty, hearty and just perfect for a Sunday long lunch. The whole Lamb Shoulder was a standout. Yum. We will be back soon. Oh and the Winelist is amazing. A little bird told me the Oysters in ginger sauce are exceptional.

A very relaxing and tasty way to try the Brokenwood wines. A nice selection of wine matched with a tasty range of canapés in a quiet but comfortable part of this very busy establishment. Excellent wine knowledge from the chap running the tasting.

Absolutely loved it, from the happy anniversary at the door to the warmth of the timber cladding and vaulted ceiling. This restaurant takes you places with the food as well. I stuck to the seafood dishes and the wife had some from the paddock, and we were left wanting, wanting more! Compliments definitely go to the chef. The combinations of flavours just work. The suggested wines for each dish marry well and only go to enhance the flavour further if that is possible. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant and location amongst the vineyards.
