Very good prices, friendly and efficient service. Really good food. Pizzas are awesome - had the Tropical Chicken and it was best pizza I've had in years: thin crust, very tasty, spicy, but not heavy or greasy. Cobb Chicken Salad was excellent too. Highly recommended.

Great experience, lovely - friendly staff. Gluten free options available (may contain traces). The gluten free pizza base was good and the loaded potato gems even better. Photos all speak for themselves!

Really really average. Service left a lot to be desired. Food was average at best. General organisation seemed to be the blind leading the blind. On the whole we won't be returning, nor, I suspect, will a lot of other attendees (unknown to me). Of Note: we attended on a Wednesday, not a busy weekend.
This location refuses to take bookings for parties under 4 people. As a result we attended and had to search for a table. Even on a Wednesday night we managed to fluke a table, which was two low lounges and an even lower coffee table style table - we had to eat our meals either on our laps or by bending over nearly in half.
We were given menus at our table. Then after deciding on meals for two, commenced lining up for food. The line was exorbitantly long, and after approximately 10 minutes we reached the front of the line. Only upon reaching the counter, were we told that half the menu wasn't available. This was the first time we were told. One had to reach the counter and see the menu hidden on the countertop to see what was actually available (see attached photo). The staff member claimed they were short staffed and that was why a significant portion of the menu wasn't available - this shouldn't have stopped them putting a sign near the front door, or at least at the end of the line, so people could re-choose their order.
After ordering, the food took nearly an hour to come out, though I appreciate the table service. The burger was nice (albeit a compromise for one of us), but the chips were barely warm. The buffalo wings tasted nice, but were only just warm.
The service at the drinks bar didn't get much better. There were approximately 7 staff behind the bar, at most 1-2 were serving, and badly. Customers for the most part lined up, but it seemed staff didn't care about the lines and picked who they would serve. Service took an excessive amount of time because staff seemed to want to do anything but serve (for example 3 staff emptying one tray of glasses from the dishwasher while customers waited).

We had a nice time knocking back beers on the verandah, looking out onto the marina and watching a big rain storm approach town. We worked our way through the beers and only really enjoyed their Pilsner. In the mid afternoon, the kitchen was closed so our only option for food was three packets of kettle chips - keep the deep fryer on - we would have smashed through several bowls of hot chips but left to find somewhere to eat

Great food and drink options. The location is just superb and just perfect in the early evening as the sun is setting. There is a large selection of beers brewed on site which seemed popular and well regarded. Staff were very prompt and helpful.
A highly recommended visit while in Port Douglas.

Beyond the fantastic videos, service and atmosphere, Hemingway’s is overrated. The food was average and did not reflect price. Meat was dry, pizza was soggy and had no flavour. Taste of beer is subjective, however, our group found it hard to find a good brew. I would say go if you want a view and food quality isn’t an issue for you.

Came here twice for dinner. The chicken and waffles was delicious, but could have done with a bigger serve. Or should come with fries. Angry burger was tasty. Cobb salad was decent sized, and the beer chicken was great. Staff were lovely and snuck me out an ice cream cookie sandwich even after the kitchen had officially closed - legends! Great views of the marina too.

Great spot to sit back, enjoy a gin or beer paddle and eat good food. A lovely spot looking over the marina. Book to secure a good seat, and yes the gin and beer was excellent!

We visited Hemingways in both Cairns and Port Douglas while on vacation. Our son has allergies and their staff and chefs at both venues worked with us very happily to prepare a safe meal for him. The meals were fresh, nicely presented and delicious. It was service with a genuine smile all the way here. The staff were all happy and cooperative. Well done team! We’ll be back.
