I stayed in the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort for 5 nights in December so I had the chance to experience a few meals in Feast restaurant. I’ve had quite a few buffet breakfasts in luxury hotels and this one definitely has the abundance and quality I’ve experienced here in Australia and overseas. They do omelettes to order and they have a decent Barista so the coffee was good. The festive season seafood buffet was really amazing. Dinner most other days was an Al-a-Carte Italian Menu. I was pleasantly surprised to find out I had crossed paths with the Chef in the past when she was head Chef from a top Italian restaurant in Noosa. She is definitely an expert in this cuisine. The staff are very friendly and the views over the famous lagoon pools are stunning. From reading other reviews posted in the past there’s obviously been some significant changes. Overall, I had a really good experience!

After reading some reviews on this place I expected it to be terrible. Actually the food was enjoyable. I consider myself a bolognese connoisseur (I’m serious and also joking about that) and their bolognese was actually good. I’d have preferred a bit more sauce but the meat and sauce they had was nice. The ragu was also very tasty. The pizza was also decent. My only complaint would be that I’d have expected more from a 5 star restaurant but considering I had very low expectations from reviews which were almost a year old I ended up pleasantly surprised.

Average at best. Save your money here and head up the road into town and try one of the numerous restaurants there.
The majority of the restaurant is fitted out with dated and sad "bistro style" fittings, indoor especially. A few of the tables are just "shoved in" in random places that don't seem to be a part of the restaurant.
We had a 730pm booking and arrived at 730pm, only to be told our table wasn't ready and to sit down while it was reset. Except the place we were told to (not asked to) sit was a random bench seat beside the greeting counter. We weren't even offered the option of ordering from the drinks menu.
The staff consistently said they were "very busy" but the restaurant was at most half full when we arrived and basically empty when we left (after a long wait for food).
The food menu claims to be and Italian "homage" but in reality is basic pub style pizza pasta and sides, not bad but not amazing, and not worth the prices charged. The steak was nice but not cooked to our request - rare instead of medium rare, medium rare instead of medium - minor things but for a $48 steak I'd at least expect that right. And the food overall took nearly an hour to come out - to their credit the waiter told us it might take a while, but I'm confused why when there was minimal customers.
The drinks menu (on that note) was extremely limited, despite the hotel bar being next door. We asked if we could order from that menu and were told no, they were too busy. The drinks menu also had no Coca Cola (only Pepsi). Even worse, when I ordered a glass of the basic house Shiraz (top of the list and the cheapest), I was told they had "run out". You couldn't just open another bottle??? For $14 a glass surely that's reasonable that you just open another bottle.

Lunch took >40 mins to be served to the table when the restaurant was well under half full. We ordered the poke bowl and the beer burger. The beef burger was fine, but the poke bowl completely lacked flavour and the rice was crunchy from being left out for far too long. The meals were ~$30 each so overall a very average, and overpriced lunch.

Quite simply one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. Most of the dishes had to be sent back as the food was so horrendous. The steak was so poorly cooked and prepared that even the staff agreed it should not have been served up after we complained. The pasta dishes were inedible.
The service was also incredibly slow & unorganised.
To call this place a restaurant is a scam.
Whatever you do, go in to town and visit one of the many actual restaurants where they serve proper food and appreciate customers.
0/5 - would never ever ever go back or recommend.

Guests at the Sheraton, we decided to eat here rather than driving in to town so we wouldn't need a designated driver... I wasn't overly impressed.
I ordered a side of coconut rice which had to be sent back because it tasted like someone had dropped a bucket of salt in. We waited way too long for our food - 40 minutes before our starters came out - and even though our drinks were ordered together (party of 4) they came to the table one at a time about 5 minutes apart. I can't fathom why, for beer, spirits and basic cocktails.
Everybody else enjoyed their food but callout that the "crispy skin barramundi" did not have crispy skin. The prawns were excellent though. The mid-star rating is more because our expectations were fairly high given this restaurant is at the Sheraton and eating at a location like this i was not expecting any disappointments whatsoever.
Halo
If I could give zero stars if it was possible too.
Came here for dinner, service extremely poor, standard of food terrible and completely over priced. Meals missed off the order. Seafood salad was not a salad at all.
Would not recommend or come back.

Oven cooked freezer food served 1.5 hours after being ordered and it cost $100 for 2 (just for food). Criminal/diabolical - wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Please if you're staying at the Sheraton just pay the $11 for a return trip into Port Douglas and go to a real restaurant. Find an image of the 'duck wontons' attached.
