Food was cooked pretty quickly especiallyconsidering how busy it was . Staff were really lovely and the food was good but nit the best I've ever had. Prices were reasonable. The location was great as in the fact it is so close to the beach so you can take you dinner to picnic on the beach.

This place once was an amazing fish and chip place every visit to port never be disappointed.
Now, What is going on. We got three wet burgers.
The fish was absolutely disgusting under cooked wet.
I asked if the fish be cooked longer, no they made me other as bad as the other.
I tried to talk to them about the fish,
it was like the fish was frozen, defrosted under hot water then throwing on the burger. mushy uneatable and disgusting. It was a sad day for Fish Burger lovers. Also they told me I ordered the wrong fish.

Ordered the mackerel pack. They said it would take 25 mins and it did. No problem. The mackerel batter had gone a dark brown Color and you could have played cricket with the fish. I couldn’t eat it. The chips were very over cooked. I threw the meal away. Don’t waste your money.

We really should of listened to the reviews, but we thought we'll give it a go and make our minds up. First up the fish was terrible not cooked properly at all, everything in family pack crumbed and deep fried, I have to say deep fried mussels was a first for us and definitely a last. The steak burgers terrible, buns stale, steak taste like what a foot would taste like.
Instead of just whinging, I'd like to offer some advice from a person who has worked kitchens from Melb to North Queensland, kids that have no experience cooking do not need to be put in a kitchen without supervision of a proper chef, I feel bad for the reputation this will build for them. Get someone in who can cook who will be willing to teach these girls how to cook, let them taste thier food etc, you have a great location, good food cooked with love would bring herds of people, it's not very hard.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst fish and chips I’ve ever eaten. The potato scallops were soggy like they’d been soaked in oil and went straight in the bin, the chips were under size and it was expensive. Do yourself a favour and go to Dave’s on the main strip, you’ll wait up to half hour but it’s worth the wait. Trust me.

Great little classic take away shop, doing fish and chips and burgers. Not somewhere to come if you're expecting fine dining, but good all the same. Staff are friendly and welcoming.
Can be a little busy, but that's a sign of the quality. And the chip servings are clearly marked, with two box sizes, half full or full.

Great fish and chips place that offers battered, crumbed or grilled style fishes. Also a few other optiobs but this is what I had tried. The star of the menu and the reason I made my way up here was the Coral Trout and it did not dissapoint. Add the homemade tzatziki sauce, that was one of the best I ever had.

Busy on a Monday night but we got our order pretty quickly. I was really impressed with these fish and chips. We were offered the option of crumbed, battered or grilled fish and went with crumbed. Chips were delicious and crispy and piping hot, the crumbed fish was cooked perfectly and the seafood was generous in size. Yum!

If I could give a zero I would!<br/>I'm from Melbourne and our fish and chips is nothing compared to Qld fish and chips, so I was very keen to get my hands on some whilst in PD. we were recommended this place by the hotel we stayed at and we wish we hadn't listened.<br/>So much oil the batter was falling off the fish. <br/>The potato cakes were just oil, it was all over our hands and if you squeezed the potato cakes it literally dropped out.<br/>Dim sims were cheap home brand supermarket ones <br/>Even the chips were shit! You expect lovely crispy battered fish and chips and all we got was a box of oil! <br/><br/>Absolutely disgusting food it's completely put me off! <br/>Shame the locals would recommend such squalor! <br/><br/>

Just bought the family pack. Probably the worst fish and chips I've ever had. And that's a big call because I've eaten some pretty crappy fish and chips. Not one redeeming feature to be honest. They need to get their shit together

Crumbed fish and chips (sea perch) was delicious - Don't be fooled by the modest looks, well worth a visit :) Great picnic tables outside which are shaded which was a pleasant bonus.
