Good Good Good, strong recommendation for those like eggs like me, egg lovers! Try this and you'll love it! I haven't found anything like this in Melbourne!
I ordered a vege sushi platter and the sushi was made fresh, the seaweed out side still crisp, so fresh so good
Sorry guys I can't give you the photo here cause I ate them lol! But it was totally different from what I had here 2 months ago, so nice and juicy!
just walked by and discoverd this amazing small restaurant. the sushi was soooooooooo gooooood, worth me to walk 1km and have it!
The dish was amazing here! You can feel the passion from the sushi maker and chef. Picture of what they called omirice?? sooooo good!
Very good place to have Japanese food!! My friend introduce this restaurant to me yesterday, and I took away the chicken katsu don. Because I saw many people order this. It is so so so nice, quite different and many things in it. I was comfortable replete! Today I order Benton box and dumplings, which are super value!
Hako sushi is better! The recommended spicy salmon don is $10 but small serve :(. Compared with hako sushi terriyaki chicken + extra meat for $10 (to make up for card payment 😉), hako is definitely more delicious & cheaper!
Salmon sashimi is quite thick which is good :)
The salmon main is magnifique, the sushi is fresh and succulent. The service is excellent and authentic, and terrific value for money.
New favorite!. Great place for the "value to money" kind of meals. Speedy, friendly service. Hot meals are great especially the gyu tan don. Oh, and the tuna, seaweed and crabmeat inari is worth the $2.50. You know on days where you just don't feel like splurging but still want good food... yep. Today was the day and I came back to Sushi-handroll twice. Give it a try! x
Great hidden Japanese. Have walked by this place countless times before finally dropping in. I had the pork curry, which came with a big bowl of freshly made miso. The pork was nice and crunchy, whilst the curry itself was obviously fresh rather than packet made, containing big pieces of tasty potato and carrot. My mate had the yaki soba, which was huge!! Also assured me that it tasted great.
Seems to be run by a traditional japanese family. Lots of different types of saki behind the counter as well.
Nice little Japanese place, with a pleasant atmosphere and appropriately priced dishes (the Bento Boxes are great).
It's got a neat, sort-of-secret room at the back with individual huts, the perfect place for a quiet lunch with friends.
The area is quite convenient too, just a few meters away from Chapel St and stores such as San Churro or Ben & Jerry's if you want some desert after sushi. :)
Amazing food! Totally worth the wait.
Really nice owners and a great salmon dish. Definitely a great place for a simple, quick, cheap, tasty meal.
Sushi was nice and two chefs were friendly, nice environment, recommend
my best hand roll place in Melbourne. Other dishes are also good, great service.
Excellent fresh sushi, affordable, comfortable, fast and friendly service.
Simple tasty Japanese food. Great lunch deals too.
