I wandered in on Sunday morning with 2 friends and was immediately greeted by a very friendly staff member who organised a table for us. The incredible aroma of the coffee coupled our senses.
You should consider making a reservation at Sartoria. The quality of both the coffee and food along with the customer service was exceptional despite there appearing to be insufficient staff on hand to manage the on going stream of people arriving. Well worth a visit ... Sartoria will not disappoint!

visited here sunday and this place was buzzing and full, nevertheless we were seated and attended to efficiently and enjoyed our seamstress and banana roti, coffee superb and staff attentive, they probably needed a couple more staff as outside was full also but i guess its the summer season and people go away, love everything this crew does and will be back again with more friends very soon

Sartoria is a spacious café transformed from the former seamstress warehouse, as you can see from their décor e.g. sewing machines, dresses, mannequins etc.

Their menu has the largest range of vegetarian options!

For the drinks, we ordered the Prana Chai and the Matcha latte. Love a great hot drink early in the morning!

For food, we ordered:

THE SEAMSTRESS – Potato hash, poached eggs, pea puree, feta cheese, beetroot, Greek yogurt labne – this looked awesome with all the elements on the plate and the potato hash was very crunchy. However, I think this dish was a bit light in flavour but combining everything together made it better!

THE DESIGNER – Fried Banana roti, cookie crumble, fresh banana, strawberries, topped with maple mascarpone – This was very crunchy and when combined with the maple mascarpone, it tasted really nice with a few different textures going – soft and crunchy, cold and hot etc.

THE SARTORIALIST – Crunchy coconut granola, fresh banana, strawberries, mango raspberry chilled coconut water, vegan yogurt – My friend’s dish – he liked this and said it was very nice and finished the whole bowl. I had a bite and it was very refreshing, cold and wasn’t sour with the raspberry and strawberries. The granola was really nice too.

Thank you Sartoria for having us.

Brilliant! It’s been a couple of years since I was last here and very happy to be back.

The food was great, although the calamari was just okay, the prawn fritters were absolutely incredible! So delicious.

The service was exceptional and the venue was very cool, light and bright with outdoor seating too.

The prices are on the higher side for the area but they source locally and ethically (free range etc) so worth the extra couple of bucks in my eyes.

The brekkies all look amazing so looking forward to trying those, oh and they serve alcohol! Win win! Sunday funday all the way.

We were invited in to Sartoria today to try out the brunch menu in this fabulous converted warehouse space complete with old singer sewing machines still attached to some tables. This was a vibrant cafe humming with life with plenty of zones from the front courtyard to share tables to table bales for group.

We ordered off the all day menu which I liked because I got to eat lunch items at 10:30am and that always pleases. We ordered the breakfast burrito & beef burger and chips, ... again I just love the flexibility of an all day menu.

Our coffees where smooth and hot. I really liked the house blend here and found it quite a sweet extraction. Although my regular strength latte looked quite pale it actually packed good flavour. I loved my cloud apple juice too.

Kellirs breakfast burrito was a combo of scrambled egg, baked beans (house made), avo and tomato it packed a punch of heat and was an extremely generous portion.

My beef burger was juicy, full of flavour, encased in a light brioche bun and all things wonderful when it comes to burgers. Probably the best cafe burger I’ve had in a while. The chips were beer battered and the mayo/aioli on the side freaking delicious, I could have eaten this with a spoon!

We really enjoyed our visit to Sartoria today and loved the history on the walls and in the building itself. Great spot for a bite.

Sartoria is a very pretty cafe with a cool back story (it used to be a dress factory.) The history is maintained through the decor and menu items, of which I tried two: the omelette (self explanatory) and the seamstress (potato rosti with beetroot, pumpkin, feta and poached eggs, add avo). Both dishes were nice but the second was my favourite, as I'm a sucker for rosti. My soy flat white was very good and the service was great. Every person I spoke to was extremely attentive and friendly.

Ambience is important to diners these days and it can make or break a cafe. Sartoria has cleverly capitalised on its past as a dressmaking, bridal and evening wear business that thrived in the 70’s for two decades and transformed it to a highly successful cafe that is popular with locals and those coming from afar.
Warehouse in space and eclectic in style, this large open eatery continues to deliver on decor, style and most of all - great food and service.
On a lazy Saturday morning , my adult son Tiger and I were treated to a most divine brunch prepared by new chef and addition to Sartoria - Kelly.
We chose to sit at a large table that I would guess was a ‘cutting table’ for fabrics by the engravings in the top. To start was our usual of a latte and hot chocolate. The menu is extensive and but I always fall to my favourite - a Benedict breakfast. Tiger had the burrito pancakes.
After we had an iced chocolate and a green juice.
I cannot fail to mention the lovely Steve who was the epitome of a good host and generous with his time considering how bustling the place was at prime brunch time.
A note that Sartoria are taking on functions into the future with an upcoming wedding, a birthday celebration and corporate gigs. With the funky decor and unpretentiousness, I can see another successful business step forward in 2020.
Well done team Sartoria.
Notes: licensed, wheelchair accessible, disabled friendly, kid friendly, reasonable parking out the front.

Based in a former dressmaking factory, Sartoria delves into the family history to create a beautiful cafe that has a lot of heart. The large, urban space has dress making paraphernalia at every turn, showcasing it's past as a bridal and evening wear business. It has a lovely and cosy ambience despite it's size, and you certainly feel at home here.

The kitchen has recently been taken over by the former head chef of Monroe in Richmond, and I was so excited to hear that she has brought her signature banana roti dish to Sartoria. The rest of the menu is based around the use of fresh, seasonal produce; and the dishes are fantastic in colour and presentation.

We tried the Eggs Benny which came with a beetroot puree, potato rostis and perfect poached eggs. So delicious, with the creamy eggs being a great contrast to the crispy rosti and earthy beetroot.

The health bowl was a fantastic blend of black rice and fresh vegetables... avocado, edamame, roasted pumpkin, pickled cabbage and greens; all topped off with crispy noodles. The dressing on the side was tangy and added an extra layer of delicious flavours to this super bowl of freshness.

Finishing with the famous banana roti, it was everything that I remembered. An absolute delight, with the flaky pastry stuffed full of delicious banana, with fresh fruit, crumbled ginger biscuit and cream on the side. This dish is sublime and I'm so glad to see it back. It's definitely one of my all time favourites.

Coffee is fantastic, and the staff are warm and welcoming; encouraging you to enjoy yourself while relaxing over your meal. Sartoria is a fantastic venue that ticks all the boxes, but also has the added bonus of an ambience that makes you feel like you are visiting family.

This place was in my list from a while and I am so glad we had the chance to try it. We arrived early morning, so no issue with table booking. At the entrance the manager welcomed us and explained how to check-in and his menu suggestions for the day. We had a toddler with us and they provided with no issue a stool. Sartoria (“dressmaker’ shop” in Italian) is very well interior designed, with sewing machines from the 60ies and a couple of examples of Carmela Agricola’s work, the dressmaker. Besides the great breakfast we had, we were well impressed from the kindness of the manager and his staff. It worth the pay another visit just for the great atmosphere and, of course, the food.

What a great space. Warehouse converted into a spacious cafe with cool decor. There is plenty of seating inside and out. The service was very attentive and friendly including suggestions of local favourites. There is a great selection of breakfast and lunch options including some sweet delights. Highly recommend.

The sign at the door said to wait to be seated, so we waited. Three staff members glanced up from what they were doing at various times and seemed surprised to see us standing there. Eventually told to sit wherever we wanted outside. Food was nice. Service wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either. The inside looked great and I loved the sewing machines, dress dummies and other memorabilia all over the place.

The best cafe in Preston. An amazing warehouse cafe with delicious food, specialty coffee and friendly staff. I took my whole team for brunch at Sartoria. Everyone loved it. Some people had the Gippsland beef burgers some people had the super salad and the gnocchi. I had the pressed pork terrine with eggs on sourdough with hollandaise. So delicious! We were impressed to find such an amazing environment, specialty coffee and friendly staff in Preston. The new manager Steve really looked after us. We will be back!

Brilliant new cafes keep popping up around Preston and Sartoria is no exception. Sunny street facing courtyard with umbrellas that's friendly for dogs is a great place to sit when the weather is warm. The inside is also friendly and inviting with plenty of space, industrial sewing theme which is interesting. The service was great, fast and friendly. The food was tasty and interesting. Chilli scrambled eggs had a punch and when I ordered the bacon, eggs on a bagel I was expecting a half but got a whole bagel! Bonus. Toast was a bit overdone and sourdough is unforgivingly hard but it happens. Loved the coffee. Will be back.

Delicious brunch items full of flavour and presented beautifully. It is always a treat to eat here. The soy chai latte is made well with optional honey. The flavours have a good balance of spice. Don’t pass this place by! The cakes are also yummy and well made, with vegan options.

Great selection of delicious food. Staff are very friendly and attentive. They were also really accommodating to dietary requirements. They took the egg off my brother's pulled pork dish and made till there was no onions and garlic in my gluten-free and vegan miso bowl. Sat outside in the front courtyard which was really peaceful and enjoyable. Extra brownie points for offering to refill my tea pot with more hot water.
