An Resto in Bankstown is all time fav for Pho. From 0 to 10 (10 being An Resto) La Sen is a 9! I have tried diff places and so far, only La Sen's rare beef pho comes close to An Resto! No need to drive to Bankstown for my pho fix!
Such tasty food, great variety and lovely customer service, everyone was so friendly and our family had a great time there. Would definitely return :)
Vermicelli salad could have done with more salads and less noodles
This venue has just recently moved to a new location (just 3 doors up from the old location). Love the beautiful decor with inviting neon lights and greenery wall.
The menu is extensive and the food is delicious as always!
My favourite dishes from my recent visit:
Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (That broth tho. Liquid gold!)
Crispy Soft Shell Crab (Irresistible!)
Vermicelli Bowl with Lemongrass Chicken (My all-time favourite)
Vietnamese Pancake (Definitely not your ordinary pancake!)
Vietnamese Iced Coffee (Love how strong the coffee is!)
Highly recommend.
We visited the Spot on a Saturday night for a date night making up for our Valentines date. After a fantastic movie at Ritz, we decided to have a glutenfree dinner. We usually eat Sashimi but we pick a different cuisine on our date night. We walked along Perouse rd and noticed a local Vietnamese restaurant which was fully packed. We asked for a table for 2 and the staff politely asked us to wait as one couple was finishing soon. We got the outdoor seating which was fantastic in this beatiful weather. We ordered the usual Vietnamese signature dishes like ricepaper rolls, springrolls, crispy pancake, green papaya salad, salt and pepper calamari, and seafood sizzling dish and a few bottles of Vietnam beers. All the dishes were very fresh and delicious. The wait staffs are very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back with our friends and family
| Randwick | La sen | 📍With summer right at our doorsteps, I’ve lately been craving to have vietnamese food. This place is just perfect for me with lots of parking with 3 hour limits. Upon visiting this restaurant, I’ve noticed that this place had lunch special and caters to corporate functions which was perfect. Lots of indoor seating, the staff were quite friendly. More importantly the menu was extensive and had lots of delicious options.

🐷Crispy Pork Belly Baos - It was a sweet and savoury taste on first bite, I’ve noticed sweet caramelised onions and nice meaty pork belly inside which tasted quite fresh, fragrant and delicious. Cant get enough of this, I just had to order more.
.
🍜Pho Tai (Rare Beef Soup) - What can I say, this has been my favourite classic of mine. The broth tasted beefy nice and clear, noodles were silky, the beef was quite tender and delicious. Side beans sprout, basil and lemons were included which I had to throw in while ate down this bowl of goodness.
.
🍤Grilled Sugarcane Prawn Paste Rolls - This was so delicious, had nice soft noodles and juicy prawns.
.
🍴Vermicelli bowl (La Sen All in One) - Beautiful bowl with lots of flavour, strong fish sauce taste and taste sweet as well, had nicley fried pork and spring rolls. Another classic favourite vietnamese dish of mine.
.
🍹🍉Watermelon Drink - Tasted fresh, crushed watermelon and sweet flavour profile.
.
🥥🥥Coconut lime - Has a strong lime and coconut flavour undertones, with pulp.
.
An instant favourite go to for Vietnamese food to satisfy your hunger if you live locally. Thank you Lasenrestaurant.

🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆: I only started eating vietnamese food like less than 3 years ago.. like wow and why right?! Growing up in the Gold Coast, Vietnamese cuisine wasn’t that prominent and so I never thought of trying it until my friend introduced me to the vermicelli noodle salad bowls, and I’ve been hooked ever since! So when I went to @lasenrestaurant I knew that this is the bowl I needed to order and it surely did not disappoint! This cosy but spacious spot in Randwick is convenient with ample parking (3 hours) nearby and close public transport. The staff were friendly and offered lovely service 👌 .
.
🦐 summer rice paper rolls (prawn & lean pork + grilled sugarcane prawn paste): so fresh and packed to the brim
.
🐷 favourite bun (crispy pork belly): the pork was very crispy and a nice surprise was the caramelised onion, so yummy!
.
🍜 pho tai (rare beef): you could tell that the broth was slow cooked fresh and the beef was so tender! I normally don’t like pho because of the tendon, but this was clear of that and was tasty!
.
🥗 bun tron (la sen all in one): sugarcane prawn, pork skewers, spring rolls, grilled pork meat! Seriously so many toppings and what stands out from all the other bowls I’ve had, is the generous of size and amount of fresh veggies which I love. A perfect summer dish, and I would happily come back just to enjoy this dish again!
.
🍉 watermelon crush: this also has lychee and was so refreshing
.
🥥 coconut lime crush: the lime flavour stood over and there was fresh coconut flesh blended through, was not overly sweet

For fresh, tasty and traditional Vietnamese food in Randwick, a visit to La Sen is a must! Even before walking into this restaurant I could smell the aroma of delicious Vietnamese flavours such as grilled meats and aromatic herbs as I was approaching. You can order take away and there is a decent amount of seating inside the restaurant.
The extensive menu contains all of your favourite dishes from spring rolls and summer rolls for starters, a range of fresh salads, stir fries, everyone’s favourite noodle pho and my favourite - the vermicelli bun salads.
We ordered the following dishes:
‘All in One’ vermicelli bun salad - this was topped with an assortment of sugarcane prawn, pork skewers, pork spring rolls and grilled pork. Underneath was fresh vermicelli tossed in a tangy garlic fish sauce with lettuce, cucumber and pickled salad. Topped with saute' spring onions, roasted peanuts, shallots and fresh herbs. This was a winner, I often can’t choose which option and this was perfect as there was a little bit of everything to try.
Vietnamese green papaya salad - delicately tossed with prawns, sliced pork, pickled salad, onions, green apple, fresh herbs and roasted peanuts. Served with prawn crackers. Loved the fresh, crunchy flavours of this aromatic dish.
Minced pork and mushroom (Ban Cuon) - steamed rice noodle roll with a delicious filling inside served with homemade tangy fish sauce. The outside rice noodle roll was soft and delicate. I haven’t had this dish in ages, it certainly satisfied all cravings.
Summer Rice Paper Rolls with sugar cane prawns - served with La Sen homemade peanut hoisin sauce. Loved the dipping sauce and the fresh, healthy ingredients inside the paper rolls.
There is also a decent drinks list, from beers, soft drinks, crushed ice drinks (we had the watermelon crush, very refreshing!) and of course, the Vietnamese iced coffee.
Overall, a tasty experience at La Sen, I’m keen to try the pho noodle soup and other dishes off the menu. La Sen also offering catering for corporate parties and events.
Thank you to the staff at La Sen for looking after us.
Note: I dined as a guest of the restaurant. All views and opinions are my own.
With a charming, local vibe, Randwick’s La Sen is a cheap and cheerful spot for fresh, delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Offering an extensive menu with all the classics, La Sen also features a variety of dishes less commonly found around the CBD and Eastern suburbs, including the likes of claypot caramelised fish, sugarcane prawns and their signature chicken wings (where finger lickin’ good is an understatement).
Situated on the small dining strip on Perouse Road, there’s no shortage of great dining options, but La Sen proves quite a popular spot when we visit, packed mostly with families. And it’s not difficult to see why it’s so popular, with an extensive menu of all your Vietnamese favourites and plenty of fresh ingredients.
We would recommend the lotus stem salad, which is similar to the Green Papaya salad with the addition of lotus stem. This means you’ll get an additional satisfying crunch from the lotus stem, in addition to the familiar green strips of papaya loosely tossed with prawns, pork, green apple, onions and plenty of fresh herbs.
Amazing service and yammy and fresh vietnamese cuisine. The lemongrass and chilli chicken was succulent. I would recommend it to anyone who is keen to taste some authentic vietnamese in a very cozy setting !!
In Short: La Sen is a family-friendly, traditional Vietnamese restaurant located in the buzzing Randwick district. The warmth from the restaurant decorations and service, plus the wonderful smells eminating from the restaurant’s kitchen, makes it a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the outside world, and just indulge in some good soul-comforting food.
Ordered via DoorDash and it arrived ultra fresh & delicious! Would definitely try the taro blistery spring rolls! 🧡✅
Decent food, but a bit over priced (a bit ) for quality. Nothing bad, but nothing special too!

Contrary to some other reviews, had a very positive group dining experience for dinner with great food at a reasonable price. Wait staff were sometimes a little inattentive but overall a positive experience. Would return again.
