We were there for dinner and i decided to try different branch of chat thai. Their curry whole snapper was a bangers! Creamy, delicious with pack of herbs punches and not overpowering. We also try the same dishes on different branch but the randwick one tastes better
Small set up, but surprisingly a decently sized menu. The menu has a wide variety of different traditional dishes, which are reasonably priced. The food is fresh, delicious and comes out relatively quickly. Would definitely check this place out again!
You can't go wrong with Chat Thai if you're after authentic Thai food; I'm constantly in awe of their ability to maintain high standards at all their outlets despite their rapid expansion. The owner Amy, with whom I've crossed paths thanks to our participation at many, many Hyde Park Night Noodle Markets, is inspiring in her ability to innovate and stay relevant after all these years on the Sydney dining scene.
I am officially a fan of chat thai now... They never disappoint! Awesome food... Freaking yummilious.. This was the third outlet I have tried and the service and food both were amazing!
I live one minute away, so this is basically my daily food. Chat thai is overall good, this one is not bad either. Food is authentic except not very spicy as I guess they more localised. But they got a lot choices and as I’ve tried none of them really disappointed me.
Food tastes great, shop has a nice ambience. We were told that the food would be a 25 minute wait but we came back in 10 minutes and it was ready!
Unfortunately the two times I have been here, it has rained... heavily. Both times the lychee ice drink wasn't available. It's okay.
The food here is still incredible - literally enjoy everything. For the safest options the pad thai and pad kee mao are sure fire hits. I also enjoyed the fish ball curry which had little apple-eggplants. Just plain delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite similar to the main restaurant in chinatown, but I think the dull randwick street sort of kills it. It doesn't quite have the same charm. Coming here for a midweek, affordable and downright delicious meal thought is totally worth it. Plenty of people were taking take out which I completely understand too. The service is friendly, and timely, which is great :)
Best thai in Randwick, hands down.. This was my favourite when I lived out that way and still a fave when I visit friends.. The chili basil pork belly is amazing!
This place was so busy and noisy when I came here which annoyed me.
-The crispy pork with basil: was not as crispy as I expected and its quite hard to chew it
-marinated beef: its tender and juicy

Chat thai is always a great, affordable Thai meal. However, this branch pales in comparison to the Haymarket one. The menu is more limited (no crabmeat omelette! but why?!) and i found the somtam a little too sweet.
Out of the 4 dishes that we ordered, the fish and vegetables were extraordinary. But the salad was a bit too watery and the fried bread was not crispy enough.
The service was pretty good and the prices were slightly higher than other Thai restaurants. The place however a bit too cramp. And even though there's supposed to be a toilet next door, it's better to go somewhere else if need be.
From the 6 dishes our favourite was the fried fish hands down.
It gets very busy and unfortunately the visit to the loo is a bit of a hassle.
Definitely give their desert breads a try before leaving.
I absolutely love the Phad Thai, it’s as authentic as what you can get in Bangkok too. The pineapple fried rice is good too!
Recommended to visit!
We walked past a couple times and this place was always bustling with customers so we decided to give it a try. Overall the food was pretty good and definitely worth a try for a wholesome dinner!
Saturday night, first in best dressed. It gets busy folks so min 10-15 wait. More for smaller tables (they prioritise bigger tables). Chaotic energy during peak hours but staff still remain composure and friendliness. We got the Chicken Panang Curry with a serving of sticky rice and a stir fried spicy noodle (pad kee mao) with seafood. All recommend. No joke with the spice levels indicated on the menu. Also got Chrysanthemum tea (too sweet, diluted with tap water) and Logan Tisane (subtle but wonderful). Besides the waiting, would definitely return to try other meals! 50c takeaway box
Home Thai restaurant located in the Sydney CBD is a must visit, firstly the meals are authentic and flavourful while being reasonably priced, the cost is high but the amount of meat they provide makes up for it, the pork belly was crispy and juicy and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Very Nice Thai food, Coconut Milkshakes and sticky rice Mango are awesome too, a Must Try! Staff are friendly, polite and quick at service.
Slow service.
Great food but quite oily.
First few bites will amaze you but then it starts feeling too greasy because the flavour is too rich.
