Excellent food, great wine and the staff all 5 stars.Put it on your list , you won't be disappointed . The view from the restaurant has everything vineyards , landscape and the bay coastline.
Beautiful venue. Sensational views of vineyards, pastures and Western Port Bay. Exquisite food and a dedicated staff. Highly recommend Port Phillip Estate whether it's just wine tasting or fine dining.
One of the best views you will get, and a really classy winery with great service. Absolute Highlights with the food were the Risotto Milanese which was perfect, and the chocolate mouse with malted ice cream.
We visited Port Phillip Estate for lunch today and the views were just spectacular although sadly our prior window table request saw us seated in the obstructed view section on stools. We elected to move and the atmosphere was pleasant nonetheless. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed their ‘cheeky lunch’ which at $38 I thought was very reasonable. Of course to this we added a side, desserts and wine but well worth it.
You do get to select out of three options for the three courses. The first was the ‘bite’ and I chose a delicious arancini. This preceded the complimentary bread which was really yummy. For my ‘small’ I opted for the flash flied calamari and then the ‘big’ was the sirloin with bernaise. The fries with aoili that we added as a side technically weren’t fries but a chunkier style chip. Very tasty regardless.
The sirloin was slightly disappointing in that it was overcooked for my liking. We then had both the desserts on offer, lemon tart and chocolate brownie. A simple sweet way to end the meal.
There is a more prestigious restaurant across the other side of the venue with equivalent views but a more elaborate menu. For the casual nature of our lunch the cellar door was more than agreeable but if you have a special occasion the other is probably more suitable as there is a slight distraction/interruption from those doing tastings, particularly if you are seated closer to the bar.
Finally got to try this beautiful estate. The entrance was a bit hard to find but we finally got there lol was greeted by friendly staff and was sat by the window (bonus!) A really affordable and delish tasting menu. Stand outs were the Parsley Risotto and the beef. Only let down dish were the non crispy potatoes
Food was good, I think my partner definitely got the better dishes however portions were of good size and everything was tasty and cooked well, however I felt like it didn’t hit that extra mile of fine dining
Great location in the mornington peninsula for a winery visit, the view is breathtaking and the food none the less delicious, we had the barley risotto, mushroom raviolo, rib eye steak and cheese platter. They were all faultless, service was good too the waitress did not stop refilling our wine and water.
Gorgeous wines. Never tried the food here .
Came here over the weekend with a large group of friends. Wow, wow! What a stunning venue! Beautiful outlook from the restaurant & simply stunning architecture. Just divine.
We didn’t eat but we drank wine on the wonderful balcony. The service was perfect as was the wine. I cannot wait to come back to sample the food.
😱Lizzie’s first impression: this location is immaculate - the views are great
🍩Lizzie enjoyed: the wine was superb, we ordered a full bottle and it was simply Devine.
🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: the service was a little off with staff not being attentive and getting their attention was a whole other issue
🥇Lizzie rates overall: I will definitely be back for the food as I loved the ambience and the views of this winery.
This was a perfect choice for a birthday celebration! We were seated next to the window and had such a spectacular view during our meal. The service was professional and very attentive. Plus the food not only tasted incredible, each meal was plated up in such a beautiful way. The three of us chose three courses, and literally nothing disappointed us. They even personalised my friends dessert with a candle for her bday! Would highly recommend dining here, particularly for a special occasion!
The estate and setting is spectacular. The service was friendly and efficient. We were a large group and were well looked after. The meals were extremely nice. Well worth it.
All I can say is absolute bliss!
Had the pleasure of going to lunch here during the first couple of weeks in January (menu may have changed soon ready this). Everything was absolutely delicious from the entree right through to dessert.
The service was amazing and they happily accommodated for us as we had a toddler.
The views were spectacular of the vineyard I highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.
Fantastic and friendly experience! Chris (or Craig) and Ash have been amazing hosts, they know their wines and we felt welcomed. Although Port Philipp is a famous wine brand, they have still kept all the charm of a small boutique!
We definitely recommend this place and their Farrago Chardonnay. Thank you.
Port Phillip Estate has to be one of my favourite wedding venues! 💓 With the accomodation on site, it's so easy being able to have everything in one place. 📸 The combination of the vineyard and the insane architecture make it a winery like no other - top that with delicious food & wine and you've got a dream venue. 🍷🍇 CAN'T WAIT TO BE BACK! ✨
Food was very very good. Room was very pretty and warm (if not a hair glared which could be sorted a bit) but the service was BEYOND extraordinary esp from Elliott, who knows hospitality like few others in Oz. And I've been around, and know service. Wondrous!
We went here for wine tasting and the venue was so good we decided to book a night getaway with one of their packages. It was amazing, from the venue, the food, wine but most of all the service. Cannot recommended highly enough!
Stunning views looking out over the vineyard to Western Port Bay and delicious food.
Port Phillip Estate as one of the best views in the region. The food and service are great. I am never disappointed dining here.
