My new favourite restaurant! Best meal we have had in so long. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Loved the selection on the obviously carefully constructed menu -- not too many dishes, just perfectly balanced. The polenta and the orecchiette were both perfect. We will be back soon, and recommending you to friends. Keep up the great work!

Do you believe emotions can be diffused through food? If we look at chef and onwer, Carmine Costantini, then his personal care, pride and respect for quality and authenticity would be the flavours of Pasta Adagio.
Set up in a little shop front along Bridge Road, you may easily walk past unless you are looking for it. The interior is dimly lit, the tables are close, the staff have Italian accents, and Carmine himself will come out often during your meal.
On our weekly gastronomical journey down Bridge Rd, Codalicious and I stopped in at Pasta Adagio.
Small place, with good service. Nothing grabbed us on the list of entrees, so we shared two bowls of pasta.
Their take on carbonara is interesting and sensational. A nest of fried fettuccini sets this dish apart from "traditional" versions of the dish. Would call it "third wave Italian"
The ricotta gnocchi and porcini mushrooms was great too. Quite rich, but the gnocchi was light and perfectly cooked.
Bit pricey, but great quality.
I cannot sing enough of this restaurant's praise after its recent refurbishment! Outside of the golden glow emitting from the salumiari bar, the ambience is a gorgeous mix of traditional and contemporary Italian design.
The wait staff were attentive but not overbearing and most importantly, knew their shit.
We went in to try out their mains (which were divine) but ended up staying for another two courses (the antipasti is not to be passed on).
For dessert, we tried out the homemade tiramisu and devoured the dark chocolate hazelnut tart. Complemented with a robust Italian coffee, it was the perfect finish to a brief but brilliant dining experience.
I would highly recommend this for an intimate catch up with your favourite group of friends or a dinner date with a partner that demands the best.
Authentic little Italian restaurant which is very easy to miss when wandering along busy Bridge road. Whilst it was very quiet and lacked a bit of atmosphere the food was lovely. I ordered the kingfish fillet with Mediterranean sauce and eggplant. The fish was cooked perfectly and the dish was excellently seasoned. My friend ordered the gnocchi special which she also enjoyed. The service was friendly but possibly not quite on point. Having said that I think it may have been our waitress' first day so that's something I'm more than happy to forgive.
My partner booked in a dinner for us at Osteria la Passione as they were holding a special 'Black Truffle' seating. To be honest, I had my doubts about this place after reading all the negative reviews on this restaurant but I have to admit, it was an amazing dining experience.
The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, the waiters/waitresses were all very polite and helpful and the chef (who I read so many bad reviews on!) was actually a really nice guy who wasn't intrusive, rude or overly loud at all.
The food was just amazing. We had 5 courses all up and they were all 10/10 except for the risotto which was a little undercooked but still very good. The wines for each dish matched perfectly and the waiter serving us the wine never let our glasses go empty for a second.
I would definitely come here again. We both walked out feeling very satisfied and content with the amazing food and service on the night.
Cant fault their food. The 3course degustation was great experience bringing you to old fashioned home cooking in Italy and longing for more after.
A bit exy because of the add ons, would be better practice to know the price of these at the time of order rather than at the end of the meal. And note that dessert is also an add on to a three course meal.
Such amazing authentic Italian food. It's like going to an Italians family home for dinner so wonderful and cosy. Menu changes nightly for fresh produce
A lovely little underrated place on Bridge Road. The staff are so chatty and delightful, and the food is always generous and amazing. i will give it second shot
Not for everyone and your experience is made by what they have on that day but I love the idea, the honesty of what they do and the real food
Service can be a little up and down but you can tell the chef owns the joint and the good and bad side that brings to this place.
It's different and Melbourne is lucky to have it
