Had the best time celebrating my husbands 40th on Saturday night. Booked the dining room out for 40 people for a private function which will be a night to remember for many years to come. We had the share menu and everything was delicious, couldn’t fault any of it. The girls serving us couldn’t do enough for us and RT did a wonderful job organising the event for us. We all partied into the night out on the dance floor after our function was over. Would highly recommend booking a private function at this venue. Thank you to all of the staff who made our night so fantastic!!
This has been my second time to the Precinct for a meal before concerts at Rod Laver. I highly recommend the $15 steak night on Tuesdays. Great meal and service. I'll be back again.
An awesome venue for eating out, watching sport, functions or a night out.
On our most recent visit here we stopped in to get some lunch before heading to the cricket and we had a great time. The outdoor area was bright and open with sport on the TV’s and a really pleasant atmosphere.
We ordered lunch and some drinks and I was super happy to see a couple of great vegan options! (Not just the regular bowl of chips!) We went with a Quinoa and Vegetable Salad and the Cauliflower Stirfry with hokkien noodles and both were delicious!
Went out for dinner on a Fridat night and ordered the parmas. Large portion sizes, really tasty and quick service. Bonus points for chips not under parma!
We have been here a few times now before the football. Food is always nice but it is a little pricey. Recommend the Singapore Noodles. Wait staff friendly and courteous. Coffee was good too.
A very big venue with plenty of seating inside and outdoors. We ordered a Parma for $15 which came with chips and salad. We thought this was pretty good value and would order this dish again. If you enjoy pub food, you will enjoy this place. Good spot for a casual afternoon drink and a bite to eat.
Cool outdoor area. Monday-Friday $15 lunches and a drink. Definitely worth checking out if you work in the area. I have been a bunch of times, always good value for money
the precinct has been a favourite bar of mine for a long time. also killer tunes (pub classics like jesses girl and blink 182 etc) though i had never had the food.
Based on the very limited meals we had the food was top notch. we got chips which were nice and crunchy and had great flavor. The fried chicken ribs were amazing. only fault is i would have put less sauce but everyone got a different opinion of that.
ill have to come again to try some mains and update my review.
Pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here - somewhat overpriced but the pumpkin gnocchi was really quite delicious. Otherwise a typical pub in terms of drinks and atmosphere (though my sister loves the $15 espresso martinis on tap!)
Came here before a concert, the service was friendly and quick. Sat in the private dining area it was so nice and relaxing, didn't feel like I was in a pub! I ordered a chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce, chips & salad, it was all really really good! Highly recommend, and I'm sure I'll be back with some footy friends.
Great food and vegetarian options available!!!! Staff are great and calamari is yummmmm! Different options for where to eat with their new outdoor area stunning!

Big sports bar which is convenient for after work or pre/post game drinks. Their biggest glasses are schooners and they don't do jugs (of beer) which can be annoying for groups. They do have delicious espresso martinis on tap though 👍🏼👍🏼
I've only ever tried the burger and Parma here so can't comment too much on the food, it's what you'd expect for a pub meal. Service is always lovely and the outdoor area has massive TV screens and heaters so perfect for Melbourne's cold weather.
Amazing Singapore noodles and I want the recipe 😍 Parma was excellent as well. Our fav place to go before the footy😍
A pretty good hotel at Richmond and very popular on football game days.
The food staff are very helpful and always trying.
The bars staff are slow not sure why it’s seems to be their lack of effort to be quickly serving customers. We are sure they can improve if this with a little training and encouragement by Management. Just check the cctv to see what’s going on. Good luck 🤞🏾
The Precinct is such a great pub - awesome food that is consistent in quality, friendly and welcoming staff, and a really cool setup with lots of screens for sport. I have been here numerous times and the atmosphere is always so fun. Favourite pub by far in Melbourne!
Very impressed with security. At the door was greeted by Dylan (security #16) he was very friendly and polite to both me my friends and from what I saw the people infront of us also. There was quite a line but with good music, vibes and polite security at the end of the line made the wait well worth it!
Great pub. Food was awsome, tasty and awsome portion size. Great TV screens to watch sports and staff excellent.
Stop in for a really good meal and atmosphere. Outdoor deck area is a top space..
Had to organise my work Christmas party and I picked this venue, the person I spoke to (Chris) was very accommodating and easy to work with. Had a group of 18 and they were happy to oblige, and didn’t require a deposit which sealed the deal. Full marks for customer service.
The dinner was a hit and miss depending on what we ordered; my colleagues raved about the fish tacos, however my friend and I had the porterhouse steak and while we requested medium rare, it was more medium which was disappointing.
The venue is great; plenty of space, big tv’s that was showing the cricket. Would definitely consider having another work function here.
