Went here with workmates and the popcorn chicken is amazing and has so much flavour. The ice tea is quite good as well, but the milk tea isn’t the best milk tea. Overall I would go back
Had the beef brisket noode soup... REALLY delicious. The flavours were so good and the meat was tender. Staff are also very attentive. Will be back
A little Taiwanese cafe on Bridge Rd amongst many other eateries. Very friendly service and a wide menu.
The green curry chicken was slightly sweet and the oyster pancake (not on their menu) was huge for an entree.
We also ordered the fried rice noodles which was spicy and tasty, but slightly oily.
Overall a great experience.
Serves alcohol.
The food and staff are great and friendly. Gllow is a nice place to get a decent fast meal or even takeaway. I enjoy the vegetarian noodles with extra prawns. Its been consistent and good value for money every time.
The chicken was quite nice overall. Fresh out of the frier with just the right amount of batter, each mouthful was filled with a distinct and tasty crunch followed by juicy and tender chicken. This combined with the curry sauce (which was thick and spicy) made for a delicious chicken dish that surely didn’t disappoint.
The Taiwanese sausage was also a decent effort. The flavour was pretty much spot on and reflects the authentic grilled sausage sold in Taiwan. One criticism however would be the skin, which could be grilled for a tad longer to provide a better crunch.
Overall a half decent Taiwanese restaurant that excels in the mains and offer authentic flavours and dishes. The sides though, were a bit ‘meh’.
Great place to have a quick meal and takeaway food. The salt and pepper chicken taste nice and fried. Customer service was friendly. There minim of $15 if you want to pay by card tho.
If you have a hankering for Taiwanese food or snacks, do consider giving this place a go. The Taiwanese beef noodle soup, mee sua, three cups chicken and pork mince rice are highly recommended - much better than the ones you can get at the Taiwanese restaurants in Box Hill. While not very authentic, most dishes do well enough to satisfy any cravings you have. However, seeing that they are a Taiwanese restaurant, it's disheartening that their bubble milk teas are pretty lacklustre. Tasted quite artificial, too sweet and pearls are too dense. Gllow definitely has potential, it just needs to up its game and it will corner the market for Taiwanese food in Melbourne.
Consistently hits the spot and I never leave disappointed. While I suspect that the cuisine is not traditionally Taiwanese, the dishes are generously sized, tasty, and served without MSG. I recommended the following dishes: salt & pepper squid/chicken, combination fried rice, and crispy pork ribs. Highly recommended.
Not many Taiwanese restaurants around this area so I would safely say that this place does it best. They have the classic dishes that I crave for: Taiwanese beef noodle soup, oyster meesua, Taiwanese sausages (although portion is puny - Malvern branch has more), oyster pancake and popcorn chicken. The later two are not very authentic. Friendly staff and good pricing. Decor is just ok. Fine if you bring your mates. Good drinks menu and good portion but the flavours are better over at the Malvern branch.
One of our favourites for a quick bite before the movies.
Filling and tasty.
We love the crispy sweet potatoes and the roti hand rolls.
But everything we've tried has been yum.
I live in the area and whenever I want a reasonably priced, tasty meal I always go here. This XXL chicken is amazing and such great value, but my favorite is the crispy s&p squid box, the most tender squid you can get in a really tasty batter, with basically everything you could want to compliment it.
Awesome lunch time BentoBox - w/ curry pork cutlet and iced tea. I never leave reviews, but it was so good, I felt I had to. (Lucky find, after another noodle place had a $15 min for Eftpos - and I walked out)
Definitely a fantastic place to eat. While it is small it delivers on great food and friendly service. Very tasty bento boxes too. Thumbs up from me.
Good quality and cozy place. Foods are delicious but the price is slighty higher than similar restaurants! Anyway, it was a pleasing experience. Will try it again :))
Great food, everything we tried was fantastic. The three cup chicken was definitely worth a try. Big servings, made to share!
Really good and tasty food. Sometimes a bit on the oily side however. Try the laksa and the pop corn chicken- they are the best!
