I had some take away from here.
Ordering 3 dishes I had some vegetarian rice paper rolls which were really tasty.
The second dish was a vegetarian soup which had a good selection of vegetables.
And finally I had some rice vermicilli noodles with pork and spring rolls. This dish never fails to please. Its always fresh, the noodles are great, and everything is soo tasty.
If you want fresh tasty Vietnamese food then this is the place to go.

I haven't been here for a while so my partner and I went back for dinner. The service is still really efficient.
We ordered some vegan rice paper rolls w bean curd, and they were yummy. Fresh and full of flavour. A great start.
I ordered rice vermicelli w spring rolls and pork. This was a great dish, a big serve and I managed to eat some chilli without blowing my head off this time hahaha.
My partner ordered vegetarian fried rice which was really good too.
Then we shared a Vietnamese pancake which was like glutinous rice and it was fantastic. Filling and it had a nice texture.
This place is still good.

I went here tonight for some cold noodles. I ordered rice vermicelli noodles w pork spring rolls. This was absolutely delicious, the flavours were outstanding and fresh. I absolutely loved this dish.
My friend had wonton noodle soup w sliced pork. The wontons were fresh and the broth amazing!!
The service here was great, we were instantly given a table and our food was served pretty quick give that the restaurant was packed.
Yummmmmm hahahaha is one word to describe this fantastic dinner tonight. Definitely try this place if you can.
And I almost forgot, BEWARE the sliced chillies that are on your table. They are the hottest chillies I've eaten in a very long time. Lucky I only had 1 as my mouth is still tingling hahaha

Reasonably priced, large portions and the food came out quickly. Service was friendly, and the food was delicious. Ordered an assortment of soups and all were amazing. Will be back.
Been here quite a few times over the past few years. It's decent for casual Vietnamese food and also only of only few restaurants in Richmond that serves Canh Chua, a fish hotpot dish.
Vietnamese cuisine. The food overall is really great and tasty , especially the fish with sour soup really nice . And the price is reasonable , sure visit again . Cheers
A very nice place to get Vietnamese food. Food is done so well with the favour and the way it is cooked. Service is good and I have always had fresh food when I have been
Co Do - Victoria Street, Richmond.
Bánh Canh Cua
Today I was back to the old haunt Co Do on Victoria Street, a homely Vietnamese restaurant that comforts me like a warm doona after a very busy weekend.
Today I decided to choose different, usually I opt for Co Do’s signature Bun Bo Hue but today I came for the Bánh Canh Cua, a rich and think orange crab (Cua) soup with noodles (Bánh Canh) made from rice and tapioca flour - A myriad of ingredients which I hope will bring an avalanche of flavour! The soup in true Co Do fashion was delivered quickly to our table, I was amazed at how vibrant it was with the contrast of the green coriander and orange thick, starchy broth, bordering on a gravy. The taste was of course crabby and the further you slurp down this soup the more ingredients were uncovered. You need to be patient with these Udon like noodles as they are very very slippery. Face in the bowl action people. I was delighted to find a huge prawn under the cover of crispy pork, fried shallots, fish balls and crab meat - How a bowl like this exists for $12.50, 5 minutes from the CBD defies all logic! This is such a tasty soup option if you want to try something different to Pho or Bun Bo Hue!

It's one of my favorite places for Bun Bo Hue and Bun Riew. Piping hot and mildly spicy, BBH is just a perfect comfort food for a cold day. It shows there's more to vietnamese food than just pho and spring roll.
Our go-to joint!!! Pretty quick service, feels and tastes authentic. Don’t expect much from the staff to give you more attention than you need as they don’t have time for dat!!!! Haha. Just go for the food, that’s enough to keep you coming back! Always go for either the bun bo hue or bun rieu, while the other half’s go-to is the Beef pho with the peppercorn sausages.
The best pho on Victoria Street! I have never had a bad experience at Co Do, and all of the dishes I’ve had here have been great. I recommend this place to everyone looking for an authentic Vietnamese meal in Melbourne.
Was herr recently for breakfast at 10.30am and was rather surprise they were already so busy at that time!
Both hubby and I got the Bun Bo Hue - mine in a small and hubby in medium size. Great to have sizing option as I can never finish a large bowl and its such a waste.
Good tasty broth. Not as spicy as I expected and tad bit too salty so def need that full squeeze of lime piece. Good amount of noodles, beef slice, pork loaf and garnishes.
Service was quick and efficient. Only had to wait approx 10min.
The bun bo hue is really good, lots of depth and flavour. Also there's great mixture of sliced pork and beef, pork loaf, prawn loaf, pork blood. Best bun bo hue I've had on Victoria St. Vegetables were also very fresh and plenty of it. It's gonna be my regular go to place for bun bo hue.
There really is only one thing to order here; the Bun Bo Hue. It’s their specialty and they do it better than anyone else in Melbourne. The broth is pork based and spicy (not too spicy). Different cuts of meats in here; including slice pork, slice beef, pig blood curd and sliced pork sausage. This is heaven in a bowl of soup. I’ll generally order this with a side of prawn spring rolls, which pairs well.
This Vietnamese restaurant have another branch in Sunshine. Their signature dish is the Hue style chilli beef soup. The broth is deep in flavour and have a nice balance of meat and spiciness. The dry noodle is also great and you can choose to have it either with egg or rice noodles. The spring rolls were pretty average.

I love this place. It's difficult to stand out amongst a sea of Vietnamese restaurants but this place does (and does it well).
If you've had the pleasure of visiting Vietnam and are looking for a place that can dish out a mean Com Tam like you'd get over there then look no further.
Best Bun Bo Hue in Melbourne, except maybe Mum's at home. Very affordable. Very tasty. Very accessible.
