Popped down from Adelaide yesterday for a lazy drive and lunch at The Caledonian. It wasn't very busy so got served very quickly by very polite & friendly bar staff. Had lovely T-bone cooked just right and my wife equally enjoyed noodle dish with prawns. Finished drinking bottle of red on lawn overlooking bay. Great day, great pub. Thoroughly satisfied.
The best customer service from all staff, the chef even went out of his way to make a special meal for me as my allergies refine what I can eat and it was wonderful!

We were there on a Thursday night during school holidays. The restaurant was fully booked but we managed to get a spot in the bar where they serve the same menu. Food was very very good and served pretty fast. When we ordered they said it was going to take 40 minutes but somehow it was served in 25 minutes. We ordered the seafood platter for 2 for 110 dollars and it was really good! There was lots of options including oysters, squid, octopus, mulate, soft shell crab and fresh shark that was really amazing. You could easily feed 3 with that!
The guys in the bar were super friendly.
The place is cute reminds me of English pubs full of character. Really worth the visit.
We had a great stay at the Cally. The staff gave us a warm and helpful welcome and the room was clean and well presented. It was a delight to stay in such a historic pub. And we had a great evening chatting to other guests around the fire. A memorable stay and thumbs up from us.
If you’re looking for seafood meals, you’re at the right place.
My family loves eating seafood and we loved our visit! We had to make a booking to make sure that we had a spot as the place can be busy (especially on a weekend). We arrived quite early, and the table wasn’t ready yet so we got to the bar and got some drinks to take outside.
They had performers that you can watch. Although the place is child friendly, it can be a bit loud or look busy for them. My baby doesn’t care about noise, but it could be bothersome for the other little ones.
Anyhoo, we love the drinks except for the ciders.
Came the table, we were seated to this beautiful, intimate, and cozy location. We had utmost privacy, even! They were selling paintings that were hanging.
Our meal is superb! Seafood platter is such a great choice to taste all of their sea offerings. The chips is so buttery that I couldn’t stop munching it! We also had Seafood Linguine, that’s tasting so beautiful. A bit of warning tho, as it can be hot to some. And the dessert? Such a great finale! Their Pavlova takes home the crown.
Overall, we had such a great dinner (a big bill was expected tho, but wasn’t that bad for a group of 9 with a baby on the pram). The staff was courteous and friendly, never had a problem. Toilets were clean and has a changing area for nappy. Just wasn’t sure if I had seen one that’s accessible for wheelchairs.
Had there porterhouse steak and it was delicious! Perfect cooked the way we requested, with great sides and plenty of sauce. Great atmosphere and very relaxed and staff were lovely and welcoming
I cant find anything to fault this place! Everything we put in our mouths was delicious. The chips, the crab, all the seafood. Obsoletely the best meal ive had honestly!
Well worth the money and the family was very happy! If we are ever back in town, we will definitely be back!
Great pub. Good outside beer garden area. Dog friendly. Wonderful staff and service. Worth calling in for a drink, you won't regret it.
