Dim Sum Delights

We were looking for another yum cha place as we're live or yum cha and came across this place. It's a small place an seems to be no frills family run. But don't let the no frills fool you. The food was awesome. Great yum cha and the staffare very friendly and accommodating. Excellent food. We will be back.

Go to yumcha on the GC , forget Yumcha the chain and come right here for a good variety of hk style yum cha. Crack open a cold tsingtao or fresh pot of jasmine tea and treat yourself to some classics like pork buns, sui mei, shanghai dumplings and chicken feet. What a place and great value about 40-50$ for two to get stuffed

High quality fresh food. Super tasty and the prices are very reasonable. Nice friendly service as well. Don't know why people only go for yum Cha for lunch on the coast yum Cha means morning tea. No body in this restaurant early. Go..it's epic.

Amazing service. Great authentic yum Cha . It's so nice to have hot dumplings, that haven't been sitting on a trolley for 15 minutes. Kitchen to table. Staff go out of their way to explain dishes and help. Wish I was a local.

We had dinner here last night and while not extraordinary, it was nice. We ordered veggie spring rolls, prawn and coriander dumplings, turnip cakes, vegetable and shrimp Singapore noodles, salt and pepper tofu and we shared a serving of banana pancakes with chocolate sauce and ice cream.

The spring rolls, of which there were four, were very good, just like the old style ones from years ago. A good size, piping hot - as was everything - and not oily. The three dumplings were great, and the one thing we'd be tempted to go back for. The turnip cakes (3) kind of grew on me. They were a decent size and rather gluggy, which I'm sure is how they're meant be. The tofu was nice and tender and there was plenty of it, but it didn't have a lot of flavour and we prefer it when the garlic and chilli is crisped. The Singapore noodles were nice, but not spicy enough for me. They tasted better with the addition of chilli sauce and soy. The pancakes (2) were different to anything we'd had before. Thick and quite large, chilled, folded rectangles that appeared doughy, but didn't really taste it.

The restaurant is medium sized, with indoor and outdoor seating and typical Chinese decor. It was reasonably busy when we were there, with some of the diners being Chinese. Service was very efficient and friendly enough, though the head waitress looked as if she had the weight of the world on her shoulders.

The bill came to $56, including the BYO charge. While I like it more than I don't like it, we probably won't go again and I haven't given it a thumbs up.

I went back here with another friend as we were in the area, hungry, and it was nearing 9pm. Our meals were nice, but again nothing extraordinary. As it turned out, the same friend and I went there a second time last month, and I'm so glad we did. I've been going once a week, and the food has been great.

Love the prawn and scallop dumplings, prawn and coriander strips, prawn dumplings and deep fried prawn dumplings. Wouldn't recommend the veggie Chow Mein (wanted to try it for old time's sake) and the veggie curry puffs were nice, but nothing special. Singapore noodles have been delicious every time since the first, veggie fried rice is very good, as is the meatless Ma Po Tofu. Can't remember what else we've eaten, but now recommend the place.

We had breakfast at the Lott next door yesterday (review up) and Dim Sum Delight was absolutely chock-a-block, mainly with Chinese customers. It wasn't as busy when we went last night, but again the clientele was mainly Asian.

We've had a few desserts including deep fried ice cream with chocolate sauce, red bean balls in sesame seeds and mango or the aforementioned banana pancakes, which have been far better than the first time when I am guessing they must have been served straight from the freezer.

Great place for yum cha and a la carte Chinese. Consistent each time I have been there. No MSG added.

Food of good quality, fast and efficient service, a hidden gem in the local neighbourhood. Place is a little bit too small to see the “angry & loud trolley lady” experience 😂 but still a great alternative to enjoy an authentic yum cha experience. 2nd time visited the place as a walk-in no booking. Owner went over and above to give us a table despite being on a busy Saturday lunch time.

Friendly service, great food and affordable! Everything that you would expect to have are here. Pretty busy during lunch time might be a good idea to make a booking first. The crispy bread wrapped with rice rolls are to die for!
