In only 1 year this cafe in Rosanna has become the go to place for coffee, breakfast and lunch. The staff are friendly and welcoming and within a short time know your coffee order off by heart. The menu is fantastic and you are in Instagram heaven with the magnificent presentation. Even good old bacon and eggs looks amazing. There are a number of vegan and gluten free options available. It is licensed with a small but varied list of beers and wine. Dennis and his team are fantastic. Highly recommended.
Wonderful to have such an amazing neighbourhood cafe. The food is amazing. Took our grandkids today who declared the kids pancakes were the best. I can never go past the Avo Addiction and today's special of Goulash was a huge hit with my hubby. If not hungry enough for a meal you must try one of their homemade muffins which are decadent. Staff are all wonderful and welcoming, ambience is perfect. Thank you for always making a visit so enjoyable.

I’d give this place 4.5 stars if I could.
I ordered the “Bao”, and it was incredible. Just enough crunchy bits on the inside to keep it interesting, and it’s spicy as well due to the chillies. My wife had the “huevos ranchos” Didn’t have enough of it to have an opinion.
The long blacks were a bit weak, but still better than many places. A textbook long black should be 80-90ml, but what we had was probably 150ml if I had to take a guess. Still not bad though, and we’ll definitely be back!

Hunter Lane is a true hidden gem located just across from Rosanna station. Upon entering, you are welcomed by a brightly lit interior and extremely friendly staff.
The menu is very intriguing and they have a lot of unique dishes too. It was so hard to decide what to get, but finally we opted for the Brekkie Board, the Wagyu Beef Burger, and the Orange Ricotta Hotcake.
For drinks, we had the berry and mango smoothie, both of which were delicious. I really love their smoothies as it is not too thick - it’s more like a juice and more refreshing and fruity.
The Brekkie Board was by far the most incredible breakfast board I’ve ever seen! It was enormous - enough to feed two - and had so much variety to it. The coconut chia pudding was so thick and creamy, but also light and refreshing too. The char grilled ciabatta paired with the avocado, bacon, hummus and dukkah egg was just divine! Highly recommend this dish!
The Wagyu Beef Burger was both delicious and very filling. The brioche bun was nice and soft, and the HL special sauce was addictive. Plenty of crispy thick cut chips on the side too which were so good!
The Orange Ricotta Hotcake was one of the most unique hotcakes I’ve seen - it’s cooked in the bowl, and topped with an ample amount of delicious banana butterscotch sauce. The toppings are incredible - from fresh fruit, poached pear, granola, sorbet, meringue - so heavenly! The hotcake itself is dense and filling, so sharing is recommended! I loved the freshness and the fruity flavours - definitely worth trying!
Overall, I had an incredible experience at Hunter Lane. Not only was the food delicious, but the portions were all huge too! Highly recommend checking out this cafe!

It was our first time at Hunter Lane. Nice location and polite staff. We tried smashed avo and Hunter, and we enjoyed both. Nice place for breakfast and brunch.
Came here for brunch with the family. Nice and spacious and food was fresh. I had the breaky board which was amazing! It had a dukkah egg, bacon, avo and a chia bowl with orange juice. The bread was one large chunk which was a bit strange but other than that it was great and full of flavour! Also ordered was the big breaky and zucchini fritters. I tasted one of the fritters and it had a nice crunch whilst being soft in the middle. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and would definitely be back!

Hunter Lane has made its way onto my list of favourite cafes in Melb. When the dishes first came out I was seriously so impressed, the presentation of each was beautiful and not only that all the elements were so fresh and tasty.
If I had to recommend only one dish - defs try the brekky board ! It has so much variety and you defs won’t regret it!!
I always really enjoy every part of The Hunter Lane experience. You will find it just in front of Rosanna station, there is a nice outside area and even when it’s a little chilly it’s lovely sitting out there.
The cafe is a large open space with their fridges filled with gourmet freshly made produce available right until the end of the day.
They always have an amazing special which often sells out.
As they have changed their menu recently, I needed a visit. They had a pancake special which was incredible and as usual so perfectly plated.
I did love the waffles though, so many yummy flavours and the chocolate was such a treat.
