Review My Fruitologist - Rozelle

Mark Williams
Always fresh and delicious. I've read the other comments about it being costly, yes but you do get what you pay for. Taste, freshness of the fruit and portion size are definitely worth every dollar.

I’m not sure how the bowls are but the customer service over the phone was atrocious! I was asking simple questions about the menu and the gentleman was talking to me like I was stupid. There is no correct (current menu) or website linked to this google business listing hence the confusion. The business owner may want to sort that out and teach the employees some proper customer service etiquette.

Never had an acai bowl before, but was pleasantly surprised. It was quite good. I also had one of the toasties, with avocado and spinach. It was delicious. There was only one poor chap working and it was pretty busy. He did a good job at getting everything out.

Acai Brothers Neutral Bay sure hits the nail on the head with their killer acai bowls. The consistency in texture and taste is always on point in my experiences. I would say it is in my top 10 Acai locations for NSW. The owner Ash is such a kind, welcoming guy and takes the time to get to know his customers. It's a small area and is more of a grab and go place, but for those wanting to sit and relax, there is seating available. Overall if you're are wanting a damm good Acai Bowl this summer, this is where you should get it because its not going to be soup like consistency that some other cafes serve.. expect more of a ice cream texture. It's soo damm delicious and refreshing!

consistently GOOD bowls. so many cafes charge you 20 bucks for a watered down acai bowl with ‘okay’ fruit. adding toppings can make this place pricey. but it’s the cheapest acai you’re gonna find around the north shore if you’re happy just getting the basics. never had a bad experience with the staff there. very friendly, patient and fast workers! you’ll get your order in 5min (10min max) keep up the good work!

Would love to give a higher rating, as this was a really delicious acai bowl, however the price point was far too high. I have had many similar, if not better acai bowls and have never paid more then $15 for it. The acai bros bowl that I got was $19. $2 extra for granola is a rip off, it should be a standard included topping. Considering how much you pay they don’t put a lot on either. For the price you’d expect it to be a lot bigger, I got the regular which was on the smaller side for a standard acai bowl. I can understand why they are charging so much, as they have the majority of the market share on the Central Coast but I would never pay this much for an acai bowl in Sydney or elsewhere. Would love to go back, hope they reconsider their pricing.

Delicious acai bowls. Love the customisability, flavours are good. Thankful for seating.

Very friendly staff, tasty Açai bowls and beautifully presented

Best Sydney acai bowl?Well, my prize goes to My FruitologistAnd I think we all agree that it’s very well deserved right?Alfredo and Danny are the founders of My fruitologist and they opened a store in Bondi turning their passion for great food and local produce with sustainable farming into a must-stop acai-tastic experience 😍 and it became so popular that they expanded to Rozelle in Sydney’s inner west, the location that I visited! And I couldn’t love their ethos more 🙏 not only do they promote to provide nothing but the best and freshest quality produce available, as any other market would, but they actually supply many schools and numerous charity organisations with donations in a number of different events every year.It is probably one of the best fruit and grocery shop that I have been to with the added bonus of having and area where you can order food/takeaway. Apparently they have a seating area too but due to the virus pandemic at the time, I wasn’t able to sit in their private space.Nonetheless the amazing variety from the shopping store is evident and the options from the shop and even more impressive from pressed juices, to raw, allergy-friendly desserts, interesting and colourful salads and of course… the greatest acai and smoothie bowls! The line wasn’t long at all and we got to order very fast. The staff member was quite polite and acknowledged that I wanted a ‘instagram worthy’ picture (😂) so he kindly made the best effort to make it even more impressive. And WOW!I think they deserve the prize for best acai bowl indeed 🏆 I want one of these everyday of my life! Also, of noticed, there is only one MASSIVE size of bowl, which is obviously much appreciated by me. And don’t worry, even though the size is big, the cost is one of the cheapest I have ever seen ($13-14! It is CRAZY!)We ordered the:- Blue Majik Smoothie Bowl - with Blue Majik powder from E3live (a brand that harvests an organic superfood blue-green algae with 65+ vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll & more) and Amazonia frozen coconut sachets. It is THE BEST thing ever. The quality, size and price is unbeatable! Seriously, I’ve had my fair share of bowl as you know and so far this has been beyond all expectations 👌 First the colour is absolutely stunning - a light blue that resembles the ocean - along with the consistency that is PERFECT - exactly how you want it to be thick but creamy and nourishing. The taste of the blend is incredible and I would eat a litre of that without any problems 😂! They combine it with granola that is just with the right amount of sweetness and crunchiness, without any dried fruit it in (which is a safer call to please more people!) and peanut butter! That peanut butter 🤩 is is so smoooooth and decadent, that the combo is just ideal. To finish it off, the strawberries and banana give that extra fresh taste to the bowl and the sprinkle coconut shreds, a magical touch 🙏 like I said, loved it and would have it again and again!- Acai Bowl wth added peanut butter - the usual/original bowl that they have costs $13 and comes with granola, banana and strawberry, which are the usual topping for an acai bowl. And then you can add how many toppings you want and pay for the extra ones (but like, SERIOUSLY CHEAP!). Extra granola, peanut butter, honey or condensed milk for $1 extra, almond butter, yogurt, passionfruit, nutella or gluten free granola for $2 extra, and coconut yogurt for $3 extra! We decided to just add the peanut butter because it just sounded so perfect and massive and it truly was. They use again acai from Amazonia and they manage to make a swirl out of it, making it look massive.Friends, this is A MUST. Don’t anyone dare to visit Sydney (even in the coolest day of all times) and not come here! Will ABSOLUTELY come back!

Always a solid acai bowl, nothing fancy, but very fresh and authentic. The same can also be said for their freshly made Portuguese chicken wraps and their wagyu beef burgers, both very tasty and fresh.

Best shop ever! Love the exclusive products I can always find there.

Best acai bowls in the area.
It's a Very femous Cafe cum supermarket in balmain. It's a great place to have a casual meal.

Great selection of high-quality products. Super friendly staff. Outdoor seating is available. Acai bowl is their signature dish.

Highly recommend this gourmet grocer.

Absolutely loved the açai bowl!! Very affordable price point compared to other places and quality is great. Definitely opt for peanut butter and they’re super generous with it too.

I absolutely LOVED this açai bowl. For the strawberry, banana and granola açai bowl with peanut butter on top it was only $13 and I was so full afterwards even though I shared it!! I love ordering açai smoothies at cafes hut they usually cost me at least $7. The peanut butter looked quite heavy but it was the perfect amount. The granola was perfectly crunchy and sweet. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in the Bondi area!

Nothing short of delicious! Absolutely loved my açai bowl which was filled with fresh fruit. This amazing creation covered all of my cravings ranging from sweet, savoury and salty. Will 1000% be back for more, well done guys!

Decided to come to this place after reading the reviews on here raving on about their açai bowls, I gotta say I wasn’t disappointed. That touch of peanut butter in the bowl certainly takes it up a notch.

Also a cool place overall, as it’s got some cool organic stuff inside which is like a fruit store/supermarket but also serve food inside. Next time I will try the bacon & egg roll as it smelt unbelievable on the grill! Great value also.
Tummy Buddy
Hands down the best açaí bowls in Sydney. The açaí is always a perfect consistency and the serving sizes are very generous. Love the option to add coconut yoghurt or peanut butter!
Hayley
I think they have the best Acai bowl in town! I've tried a few but their Acai doesn't melt until probably the last bites, granola is crunchy but not too sweet and the fruits are fresh! Huge portions for prize and very satisfying breakfast.
I tried the blue magic bowl, which is mostly coconut and coconut water. It is not as flavourful as the acai, but very delicious as well.

Will have to come back again!

Come here 2-3 times a week on average. Açai bowls are an obvious must. However you get less if you takeaway. These smoothie bowls are made from a machine, thus giving the combined texture of frozen yoghurt and gelato. It’s exceptional and the best in Sydney. Yum!

Best. Acai. Bowls. Ever! Plus the dollop of peanut butter its possibly all my favorite foods in a bowl.
Lamb gruyere powerkraut sandwich - moreish slices of lamb and gruyere with tangy sauerkraut and creamy aioli sauce on sourdough (p.s. the sourdough is just dyed for colour, tastes just like regular bread) and a side of schnitzel pumpkin lentil salad. One of my local favorite places!

Came after being said the Best Acai Bowl in Sydney.
Tried this at Bondi Road. Quite a long line on the Saturday.
For me it was alright, not my best Acai Bowl in Sydney. They use the froyo machine instead of the heavy-duty blender. So the consistency more like a froyo.
Every Crumb
açai is amazing. Thick, perfectly blended, and delicious. Toppings are fresh (banana, granola and strawberry) and the PB they use mingles with the açai so well.

As a regular at Fruitologist, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious acai bowl. I love that they use acai soft serve, meaning you’re never left with a watery acai mess. For only $12, Fruitologist is without a doubt the cheapest place for acai in Sydney. They are always so generous with their toppings, and their acai to granola ratio is spot on. I also recommend adding peanut butter for an extra $1, it makes all the difference. Service can be very slow sometimes, as this place is extremely popular, however the friendly, accommodating staff and the delicious acai bowls make up for it. They also have a grocery store attached to the cafe so you could even do your grocery shop while you waited for your food.

Açai bowls take over the world! From a few tables this business has now expanded to an açai Mecca with açai bowls being consumed as far as the eye can see. They also have a great range of raw food treats!
Rakelg
This place is actually a local organic grocery store with a juice/smoothie bar attached. They are always quite busy, and both take-away and eat in is available, at some chairs and tables outside. They have an acai, pitaya and coco blue majik smoothie bowls were served in coconut bowls. The servings were massive and so filling. The toppings they used (granola and cacao nibs) were really nice. Their peanut butter drizzle is also amazing. The acai was so nice and had a soft serve consistency. The pitaya blend was a bit bland and was too icy rather than creamy; it was lacking something. The coco blue majik was very nice but that was also very icy.

👍🏼- THE BEST ACAI BOWL IN SYDNEY, HANDS DOWN! I absolutely adore this place, and I always find myself wanting to come back! Honestly, I’ve had my fair share of Acai bowls throughout the years and nothing compares, Im always left disappointed with my watery bow. The bowls are made to perfection with the most beautiful granola I’ve had, as well as strawberries, banana and your choice of add on. (I usually order peanut butter as a topping for an extra $1 or so). They could sometimes not be so scarce on the fruit though. The presentation is wonderful, the bowls are swirled to perfection in a thick and creamy consistency. I was almost chocked to find out that these beauties only cost $12 for the generous serve of acai that you receive; I believe that it’s worth it. Acai bowls can be an upward of $16 depending on where you go! They also sell a few other choices of bowls, however I’ve never tried them. The service is decent; not fast nor slow. The location is rather odd but relaxing, as it’s located on the end of a quite dead end road surrounded by apartment buildings. It’s also a great place to pick up your fruit and vegetables as the cafe is connected to a high end grocery store! I love browsing through all the vegan snacks and fresh produce. Their coffee is nice; I always order a soy latte and have nothing to fault.

👎🏻- The only downside would be the customer service as the staff aren’t always the friendliest and on multiple occasions. Nothing too dramatic but it doesn’t hurt to smile sometimes. It also isn’t the closest to my home which is a shame as it is a good 45 minute drive through the city. I’ll always return though!

Food: 5/5
Presentation: 5/5
Service: 3/5
Location:4/5

Most amazing açai bowl! would definitely recommend! Came for the first time, even though ive lived in the area for years and am beyond excited to come back!

Location is great. Service was ok. Organic acai bowl was fantastic as was the turmeric chai. But the bacon and egg on Turkish bread was disappointing. I asked to replace the bread with a gluten free variety and at noon was told they had no more GF bread. For heaven sake there is a grocery store attached to the cafe selling GF bread! When it came, the egg was overcooked while the bacon was undercooked. Then they forgot altogether the second drink in our order which had to be asked for again. Not coming back in a hurry.

First time trying out Fruitologist, Rozelle. I tried there famous açai bowls! It was a thick berry flavoured texture, topped with crunchy goodness, banana slices and strawberry’s! Would definitely recommend! 😊
Beefteriyaki
Probably my fav place to grab an acai bowl!! Service was good. Their smoothie bowls tasted AMAZING. My fav place in Sydney so far. The peanut butter was an extra $2 but tasted delightful with everything else. Will be looking forward to coming back!!

I've tasted better acai bowls. It's a bit watery, didn't taste as good as the bondi one. However the peanut butter is a nice touch. I wouldn't return here.
Sydney Flavours
Fruitogist is the perfect grocer to visit for anyone hosting a dinner party. It’s got heaps of fresh fruit and veg and more unusual quality produce such as fish, a wide range of nuts, cacao products, soups, dips and dairy free products. Their Açai is a thick texture, served with peanut butter and perfect ratios of granola and fruit (strawberry and banana). Service is a bit slow and lost, but they are super busy so it’s understandable.

I have been to the Rozelle store a few times and have had their acai bowls (both eat in and takeaway. I think that the servings are generous for the price tag ($12 or $13 with peanut butter) and have plenty of fresh fruit and tasty granola to go with it. Overall, a delicious product. The main downsides are that the store itself is always crowded and I often find it challenging to get a table and I have given up waiting in line due to the demand. The location of the cafe can be quite hit and miss with parking as well.
@quattrogirl
After reading reviews on Facebook about how amazing this place is I thought I'd try an Acai bowl from Fruitologist Bondi. For me it wasn't the best Acai bowl in Sydney. A little overhyped reviews in my opinion. The taste was bland and too much blended with ice.

This would have to be the best acai bowl served anywhere in Sydney. Have not tried the Bondi one, so can only comment on the Rozelle shop. The piccolo's here are also really good. Love this place!!!
Ashleigh
my absolute favourite place to get acai, don’t go anywhere else. their ratios of fruit is perfect! only thing i can fault is the bowls that they are served in because they have round bottoms and it is hard to eat out of them. overall amazing

Been to both Bondi & Rozelle stores, but must say I preferred the Bondi one a lot more. We waited 1 hour for our acai bowls at Rozelle as they only had 1 blender & 1 person making the bowls. When we received the bowls there was barely any fruit on them. We also had to ask for extra granola.
The 4.0 rating is definitely for the Bondi store which had great service, delicious treats, and large servings of acai for only $12! Oh and heaps of fruit & granola. Pictures are from Bondi

One of the best acai bowls I have ever tried - super generous servings of the smoothie as well as toppings for the price of $10! I absolutely loved their granola and their strawberry toppings - they really do add to the texture and overall flavour of the acai bowl. Although its location is a bit hard to get to (especially if you live in the west), I would definitely be back for more ❤️ I have only tried their sunset bowl, however I am keen to try their blue algae bowl and their pitaya bowl.

Came here on a chilly Sunday morning in search of the amazing Acai bowls I've bee seeing on Instagram. The location is pretty cool with lots of new shops and restaurants in Terry street Balmain. Didn't know they existed so it was a nice find. Fruitologist was the busiest of all the open cafes. All seating is outside and there were no tables available for us to sit. We decided to get take away. 3 Acai bowls and one Pink bowl. We also got 3 coffees take away. We were told upon ordering there would be a 30min wait. I peered over the counter to the back and could understand why. Lots more Acai's before my lot.
After a walk we came back. Our coffees and Acai bowls ready soon after.
The taste was delicious. The granola really makes them and the quality of the strawberries and banana just yum. Love the fact there was granola top and bottom. Just perfect. Portions were generous and right up my alley. All my family loved theirs.
My piccolo was pretty damn good too. This is now going to be my go to place for Acai. Just yum.

Great little place! Best acai, a bit slow but lovely staff. Great fresh produce to buy after your acai bowl. Never tried the coffee but will definitely be coming back.
Eatwithmyfoodsafari
Small cafe with alfresco dining, attached to a fruit and veg shop serving up coffees, fresh juices and artisan bakery items. Located in a cul de sac, it seems like it predominantly services local residents. I had toasted fruit toast and coffee which was a perfect light breakfast.
