Prior to the last state and federal election (2/7/16), I spent a fair bit of time campaigning in W Ryde, particularly around the railway station precinct.
The then Mayor of Ryde, Jerome Laxale drew my attention to the Element 6 Cafe. Since then I have been a big fan and the cafe became a meeting place and 'watering hole' for both the Labor and Liberal campaign teams.
The menu and coffee are great - the atmosphere is always very conducive. My favourite, among many possibilities, is the chubby bacon & sunny egg roll w onion jam, house pumpkin chutney & e6 aioli - fantastic, and with a name like that why wouldn't it be?
My next visit will include the yummy banana peanut caramel waffle and maple cream - the caramel is house made of course.
So there you go, do yourself a favour and pay Element 6 Cafe in West Ryde a visit!�

Boyfriend and I went for brunch and had an amazing time.
Wait time is a little longer as their kitchen is a little small, but the wait was worth it.
The sticky chai was to die for. The food was delicious, it was so hard to pick just one. So we got 3 dishes instead.
Definitely worth the visit.
Foods are tasty. The flavour and texture of every component is just right! Coffee is well made. Lovely environment and staff. We arrived at 10:45am on Sat. There had been a queue for coffees. Heaps of guys kept coming for coffees.
A cosy little cafe, great friendly service and fantastic breakfasts and coffee. A true suburban gem.
To go place for me and my family wife. Possibly the best place in around RYDE.
Standard order for me Zatar eggs and mocha
This is a beautiful small cafe in West Ryde which serves amazing food, courteous staff and not heavy on pocket. We ordered big brekkie, za'atar eggs with long black and hot chocolate. The food was delicious and specifically poached eggs just melted in your mouth.
E6 West Ryde used to be my local go-to, however, after a few average dishes, I wasn’t keen to return. We decided to give the place another go and see if they had improved. I was in the mood for a milkshake so I went with that, I only wish I could remember what flavour I ordered. My partner went with a skinny cap. The milkshake was really nice and creamy. I ordered mine with soy but kept the ice-cream (I can get away with limited amounts of dairy).
Very decent feed. They generally offer Australian cuisine, but the day I went they put on a seafood risotto as a special of the day. I had that and was blown away.
Prices are quite cheap for the quality you're getting too.

What a cute little cafe close to West Ryde train station. Greeted by friendly waitstaff and service remained impeccable throughout our experience. Food came out quite quickly as did the coffee. Beautiful food that was plated very nicely. Can’t wait to return and try some more!
Friendly service and good food. The coffee was okay. The mocha was extremely sweet and so was the passion mango fruit shake.
Both baked eggs were slightly different, giving it a unique taste full of flavor! So I highly recommend.
The chili crab eggs were average, but it was not chili for me at all.
Nothings to complain about, like the place so much!Coffee is good, so does the food. Ordered a chilli crab scramble eggs with toast, and a beef brisket burger, both dishes were delicious and the portions are just full filling! Will definitely come back!!
Updated review: had brunch here again, slightly disappointed; staffs still lovely, coffee still good, dish was not as good last time, but still ok.
Element 6 is, in my opinion, the best cafe in the Ryde area. Consistently great food and coffee. The bacon and egg roll is divine - well it was until they changed the relish from tomato to pumpkin! Please change it back guys!
Make sure you pop in nice and early and get the chocolate and blueberry muffin - it is UNREAL. The staff are very friendly and their level of customer service is impressive!

Local cafe that does great salads, they used to have this amazing chicken roquette salad, but they took it off the menu :( They don’t accept phone orders which is annoying as it does get busy and you have to wait a while for takeaway.
Perfect place for decent brekkie, brunch or lunch. Service is friendly and the cafe has a great vibe. The exposed brick decor and crates make the cafe look cool.
Smoked Salmon salad with quinoa and mint
Ordered the cauliflower soup that absolutely satisfied my soup craving. We need more cafes having soups on their menus!
great coffee and so grateful for the actually delicious gluten and dairy free sweets they stock! Such a cute little hole in the wall set up that is actually functional! They staff are so lovely! Definitely a good spot to stop by for a quick bite and caffeine hit!
Nice place for coffee and brekkie.. Big breakfast bit expensive than other places!
May 2021 update: reasonable prices, good balance of flavours and diverse menu to suit all (standard breakfast items, tacos, burgers, pancakes, French toast). Pretty generous servings. Friendly staff. Good smooth coffee. Had the corn fritters and fish tacos w/ sweet potato fries. Taste is pretty good. However the let down is the whole place feels like it hasn’t been maintained well and really needs a deep clean scrub down. Walkway to the back dining room is especially filthy, full of stains and our cutlery still had alfalfa sprouts from the previous diners.....

March 2018: Generous portions and a well considered brekky menu - a creative but not-too-ridiculous out there twist on the classics, pretty well-executed. Their coffee is a bit too weak and flavourless though...about 3 tables out the front for the furry friends. will be back!!
One of the best cafe in the area, nice food with some healthy options. Very friendly staffs and beautiful coffee.
The veggie plate is big enough for two if you ain’t too hungry, salmon on toast was nice and fresh. The chicken burger was a little salty for my liking but French fries were crispy and yummy.
