Simple, delicious authentic Indian food prepared lovingly by a local family. Great prices, kid friendly and great service. Eat in at a table simply set or takeaway. The tandoori chicken is excellent.

Epic genuine affordable food and friendly service. Best in Northern Victoria let alone Shepparton. Recommend number 18 on menu. The mixed tandoor plate. Enough for two people with your choice of four from the varied tandoori dishes. All EPIC!!!! Keep up the good work

Recently moved to Shepparton, found this place rated 4.9. Was initially skeptical but it deserves this rating. This is a no frills place that makes excellent Indian food.
10/10 would eat here again.

This restaurant has the best food! Although it is small and BYO it is a favourite for lots of people as there was a flow of clients coming in for take away all the while we were there.
It has a good range of items on the menu - vegetarian as well!! We paid $29 for two people! Fantastic!

Great tasty authentic food. Will (and) recommend. We dined in and loved the authentic aroma wafting through the restaurant. A lot of take-away activity as we ate (positive! If it's crap ..people do not order!) ... This adds to the experience!

Good indian food! Im Indian origin and I really enjoyed the Murg Madras and Paneer naan. Really liked the mango lassi too. Food was served very quickly. Will certainly return for more

Our trip from melbourne & loved it !. We were on Shepparton this night from melbourne. Lucky we had sat nav in car to find this very local hidden restaurant. Delicious food & a hidden gem ! So glad we came. Great choice

Desi Tandori - Hidden Gem. I was passing through Shepparton when I found this hidden gem in the back streets. The food was fabulous. I had the best Samosa I have had anywhere. It was beautiful and crisp on the outside and the filling was amazing. Not like the oily ones you often get. The staff were lovely and made helpful suggestions on the menu. The food was cooked quickly and to perfection. We had the Lamb Spinach Curry (Gosht Saagwala) and Chicken Korma. The pappadams were light and crispy with great flavour. The restaurant was buzzing for a Thursday night. I would strongly suggest you try this hidden little wonder.

Desi can usually be relied upon for a good meal. It would pay to check menu item availability though. Tandoor oven is turned off at a certain time, and we are in a situation where various resources are hard to come by.

The food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or from Shepparton that loves authentic Indian food.

This is where my loyalty lies when I'm wanting Indian cuisine for dinner. Friendly and efficient staff, and delicious food. Highly recommend.

Hands down best in the area. ^ I made this comment 4 years ago. I've had food from 20-30 Indian places while living in Melbourne. Nothing can even come close to how delicious and authentic their food is. I'm considering coming down from Melbourne to get my fix - again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
