Food is always great here. I have eaten here many times. The Vietnamese coleslaw with duck is amazing.
I was craving for roast meats and a quick search on Zomato led me to Minh Ky. Packed with customers, I took this as a good sign and I was right. The roast meats that we tried, save for the BBQ pork, was succulent and very tasty. The roast pork had a good ratio of fat, lean meat and crispy skin, and this was definitely my favorite of the bunch. The BBQ pork was sliced too thick and thus rather tough, but flavour-wise it was good.
The service can be hit and miss; the young fellow was rather harried and seemed lost, but one of the ladies was super helpful and friendly.
The tables aren't very clean and the floor sticky, but that's kinda expected here. The food is good and that's what I came for.
Will definitely be back to try out the rest of the dishes, and there's even suckling pig on the weekends. But you gotta get in quick as it sells out fast.
Honestly I just felt like meat and this place stood out. Got half a duck for $14.00 which I thought was great vaule. The duck was well cooked and accompanied by some great sauces.
Me and my friends loved it, it was way better than expected. The food not only looked great but it tasted great. Will come by again the next time we visit Springvale.
Awesome service. The lady who served us is professional and friendly. The food is amazing. We ordered special fried rice and 2 meat combination (roast pork and roast duck). All were cooked perfectly. The roast pork is crispy and tasty - even better than Hawker Chan's roast pork. The chilli oil is to die for. The tea is perfection. I am so glad we found this place. Should have come here since long time ago.
It was literally straight after a heavy lunch when we walked by and my zero will power gave in to the glistening soy chicken hanging by the window.
I know, I know, even my partner shook his head in disbelief as I placed my order of half a chicken. No harm in planning ahead for dinner, right? And let’s just pretend I didn’t sneak in a piece (or two) once we got home.
Anyway, dinner it was then with some hot steamed rice and it was great! Every piece of chicken was as succulent as the next and every mouthful was met with a distinct hit of spice medley and rice wine that went into the cooking process.
Although we only got takeaway that day, I have to say that all the staff here were just lovely, including the cleaver maestro behind the window. Keep on smiling, guys!

Has limited seating so it fills up quickly, but there is some outdoor seating which is nice.
Ordered the two roast on rice (BBQ pork and BBQ duck). The rice was a little dry and hard, seemed like the bottom of the rice pot since there were some burnt pieces in there too. The BBQ pork was tough and dry, wasn't the best. However, the BBQ duck was very nicely done, moist and succulent.
We also had a stir fry dish with pork and Tofu. This was very good and would recommend. All the flavours came together and the rice seemed different to that of the first dish.
