have been eating in & getting takeaway from here for about 10 years. It is always the best. Have never been disappointed in the food. Have eaten at other Thai restaurants around the country but none compare to the Thai Orchid.
Fantastic Thai food, excellent service and beautiful atmosphere. We loved our evening here and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
The Thai Orchid Springwood is a lovely place to go. For lunch you can choose from a Lunch Menu or from the Main Menu. The mocktails are delicious and reasonably priced at $8.5. We had a mixed entree made up of Thai Fish cakes, Satay chicken sticks and curry puffs.
The curry puffs (clouds) are beyond your imagination; crispy, not thick and hard and the pastry disappears leaving a delicious filling.
Our other dishes were Massaman beef, Chicken & Cashew stir fry, Pad Thai chicken and special fried rice with enormous prawns.
Special mention for the melt in your mouth beef and the fried rice, again, was something new to me as I have never had such delicate rice before.
Everything was brought out at once or within a minute of each other, we didn't have to wait for a missing dish.
It was a quiet day and we almost had the place to ourselves. The staff were lovely.

This restaurant is located in an unusual industrial area. On entering however one finds themselves in a restaurant that is well decorated and that makes the patron feel as if they have just stepped into a five star restaurant in Thailand. The food is the best Thai food I have ever had in Brisbane. Once again reminding me of what a good quality restaurant in Thailand is like. We enjoyed generous cocktails, Thai beer, succulent Moreton Bay Bugs and a Pork dish that was really something very special. Our meal was very well priced for the quality and portion size that we received. All meals are served with crisp fresh vegetables. This is not the first time we have visited this restaurant. A friend invited us originally so this was a follow up visit and definately won't be our last. We just wished we didn't have to travel so far to enjoy their great food as we would probably visit more regularly. Service is also of a very high standard. They also offer a takeaway option.
A great place to book if you have a large booking. We had a table of 15 and the service was fantastic. Food was great too.
You may feel it is a bit pricy but your dine in experience will explain why you pay a bit of extra. Of course the food here are tasty enough. I would like to visit again next time!
Our first since the renovation… wow amazing transformation not just the complete renovation but the food as well. Every dish was delicious & generous potions too. Definitely will be recommending to friends n going back 👍🏼
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Made a reservation, easy seating. Had to wait for slightly longer than expected however the wait was certainly worth it. Would definitely recommend
