This cute and quaint little cafe is based around a Nordic theme, hence the name and it has a lovely intimate feel with lots of light and wooden details. There are a few tables, but they do an excellent take away.
The menu is small, but centred around the Nordic theme. They also have delicious looking pastries, and the fruit toast that I had was perfect. Coffee is excellent, making this a lovely little spot to grab a coffee and a bite to eat.
My go-to for takeaway coffee on the weekends. Cosy cafe with friendly staff. The waits aren’t long at all. Hoping to try the food some day.
Best long macchiato and cinnamon scrolls going around. Always a lovely treat on a Saturday morning. Plenty of delicious brunch options too. Highly Recommend :)

Finding something different and unique in a “brunch is the new dinner” city like Melbourne can be extremely difficult. Especially since every cafe is pumping out Instagram-worthy meals. The owners of Nord, a couple who spent several years in Stockholm, returned to Australia and opened up a small cafe providing Chapel Street with a bite of Sweden.
I live in St. Kilda and have tried every cafe in the area. I like Nord Cafe the best. It has a great vibe - unlike some other cafes it is never uncomfortably noisy. I often stop here on my way to work and I love the coffee.
The homemade food really sets Nord apart! Everything is fresh and delicious. I also like Nord Cafe's friendly and unpretentious service. I feel at home here.
Nord is a cute little Nordic cafe on the Balaclava side of Chapel Street. It's conveniently close to trams and lucky for me, one of the places I do some work. The space is tiny but had a few outdoor seats and a couple of tables inside. Coffee is good and the simple food menu is good for a lunch on the run. There are some interesting and tasty Nordic things to nibble on like chocolate balls and a lingonberry cordial syrup. Cute place and worth checking out.
My fave place to get my daily coffee close to work. Friendly staff, great coffee, interesting home made Scandinavian food. I try and resist the yummy little Swedish chocolate balls on a daily basis, not always successful. I can't understand the negative reviews posted here, if I ever have a issue or question the Nord crew are always helpful.
Little bit confused by the other review. I've been here a few times and love it. Food is always fresh and tasty. Lagom.
Swedish breakfast is a great alternative to bacon and eggs, filling without the heavy feeling. The meatball sandwich is very good too.
Their pastries are always great with that true Swedish taste like the ones you find in Gamlastan, not like the mass produced IKEA ones.
Coffee is good too.
Heads up, Swedish meatballs are very different to Italian meatballs.
This is one of my top cafes in Melbourne. Highly recommended for something a little different.

This little hidden gem is perfect for getting a great coffee and light meal. Friendly owners Anna and Luke have created a cosy, welcoming atmosphere at their Scandinavian inspired cafe. Highly recommend.
Nothing much to complain about here. The coffee tasted just right, perhaps a bit on the cool side. I also had a ham, cheese and tomato toasted sandwich. The blonde girl who served me was just lovely and the ginger dude was friendly also. A pleasant and enjoyable visit.
