Corn patties and poached egg (plus other yummies) hit the spot.

Chilli eggs on sourdough was amazing!
I’ve only ever gotten ice latte here so this review is just based on the coffee. The iced latte was strong and didn’t taste watered down with ice - very nice blend and good barista.
Cafe right across from the Royal North Shore, so there was a steady stream of people waiting for their takeaway coffee. I stayed to have some brunch. Zucchini & corn quinoa fritters & the morning cleanse green juice. Everything was great except for the actual fritter, which was bit floury. The egg was oozy, but there was only 1, and could've done with more of the beetroot hummus.
JM Formula is a nice café with friendly staff. Pictured are Wake Me Up Burger (poached eggs, bacon, avocado & hash brown on brioche with hollandaise sauce), poached eggs on toast with added chorizo. I prefer my chorizo more crispy but they were still nice. I also tried Morning Cleanse (cucumber, green apple, aloe vera & mint), even though I’m not big on mint, I still enjoyed the juice, it was refreshing.
Ramen time! Would definitely order this dish again and it outshone the tacos. The tacos were delicious but just couldn’t compete.
Service was prompt and they had nice indoor decor. Outdoor seating was limited but it was also very cold and windy.
Great for a lunch break from the hospital. Location on Herbert street was perfect.
The staff at JM Formula are superbly friendly! Not only that but the food is pretty tasty. I’ve had two buttermilk chicken burgers which are great for the price you pay. I’ve also had the breakfast burger which was scrumdiddlyumptious!

Plenty of seating and a nice vibe inside means you can relax and enjoy your food, coffee or juice (try the immune booster!)
If you are close by, it's definitely worth dropping in - you won't regret it.
Their coffee is quite good but their customer service is their best part which makes me go back to this cafe regularly.
The staff is quite agile, they always greet and serve you with a nice smile (especially the girl who takes your order) and they do try to do their best for you early mornings which gives me good positive energy early in the day.
Sometimes early in the mornings they get busy but that's fine as they always do their best to serve you well.
My first visit here was so pleasant! The staff were so welcoming and made me the most perfect coffee!
I will definitely be back to try out the yummy menu!

This cafe is super close to our new apartment and we are stoked about that! Really great coffee and iced latte. My fiancee says it's the best hot chocolate she's ever had from a cafe. The chicken burger was great too. They can get insanely busy with big orders and groups from the hospital. Most of the time the staff do an exception job. Only once we experience a cashier who was very unfriendly (1/7 can be chalked up to a bad day). The brownies and cakes are nice too. Personally I hope they refresh the menu sometime as only 1-2 options interest me and my partner.
Amazing breakfast burger. Tasted excellent with delicious milk bun and bacon and eggs done perfectly. The slightly spicy sauce was also excellent. Coffee delicious too. Sorry would've posted a photo of the burger but smashed it before getting a chance.
JM Formula is a really nice little cafe, I occasionally stop by on my way to work for coffee and something to eat. Service is friendly and food is always well made and tasty. Cafe can be busy with people sitting inside and people ordering takeaway, so considering that service is pretty efficient. Bacon and egg roll is delicious, coffee is hot and well made. Looking forward to trying the chilli eggs next.
Really amazing food. The pictures don't do the food justice. The staff are very warm and friendly and the service is efficient. It was busy when we went for lunch on a Wednesday (that's a good sign). The chicken burger works so well, the saucy slaw, the tartare, melty cheese, thigh chicken and the jalapenos all blend in well with the mill bun. The house ramen was very refreshing (rare for a ramen) and had great flavours. They also have cold brew coffees too. Can't wait to go back here!
Went back the following week. The ramen is still awesome (they remembered us, and we also saw a regular from the prior week). The miso mushroom breakfast was sumptuous. I love the attention to detail - the creamed corn was used to secure the bread to the bowl, the eggs were perfectly poached and the cilantro added bursts of unbelievable freshness. I can also report the coffees are really top notch. I'll be back soon
