Went to Shriyas on a sat night and had a 730 booking. We arrived at 7.15pm to an empty restaurant (i assume their main target market is st leonards mon-fri workers looking for lunch) and were greated by the lovely waitress. She showed us to our table but because it was close to the door i asked if she could move our table of six to the other side of the restaurant as it was very chillie. She happily accepted and moved some tables for us. She then gave us our menus and water and let us be until our other friends arrived. I think she should have asked us if we wanted drinks but thats ok. We started with the meat sampler board which was great, not too spicy and came with a mint sauce for those who cant handle spice(like myself). We then ordered tikka masala, butter chicken, naan and rice and all were absolutley amazing. I cant remember what we ordered for desert but it was a combination between coconut and vanilla icecream. it was a bit bland for my liking but it was my first time trying them so i wasnt sure how it was reslly meant to taste. Good Serving size, Very filling meal the only real let down was that it shut at 9.00 so we felt we were being pushed out the door(but service was fast :D) and the decor isnt that nice. I would go back again though as it was quite tasty.
I have been to this place 3 times in last one month and it serves amazingly tasty food. I am sure people might not know about this place but this place has good lunch combo’s, love their dal makhni and paneer tikka, non veg mixed platter is also very nice. I had wine starters once and lunch twice with my friends here.

Nice hidden gem.. food is good , the dal makhni is really nice and even the tangri kebab is really juicy and fresh. Would go again for sure. gulab jamun was nice
As the name suggests this place serves the best indian diseases we tried samosas and followed by some drinks and then main course. The stuffing in the samosas was full and rich in quantity and others dishes were also tasty.
One of the best places to have Indian food ... Located at St. Leonard's station so v convenient to carry food if you stay or work near St Leonards.
I have tried Dal Tadka, Dal Makhani and Veg Biryani .. really loved all the dishes .. food is really delicious and freshly made always ...
Dal Makhani is too good and so is Veg Biryani ... Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic Indian food ...
Owner and staff are really courteous and take care of the customers really well .. place is really very clean and well maintained ...
If you’re looking for Indian food with great service, this is the place to go! Each and every feedback of mine was received with a smile. The manager catered really well for all dietary requirements and served us a lovely meal. Things you must have - batata vada, veg kohlapuri and paneer tikka masala.

Since the last 3 years, I have been on a quest to find restaurant food (in Sydney) that genuinely represents India. Finally, I've found it.
Shriya's offers a selection of delicacies from the Western and Northern parts of India. Unlike most restaurants in Sydney, the food isn't prepared to suit the local taste buds in order to maintain authenticity. As a regular visitor here, I'm a fan of their combo lunches during the weekdays. A choice of vegetarian, chicken, lamb or seafood curry along with rice and daal serves up to be an adequate meal, and the best part about this place is that the owner insists on food being made fresh for every guest that walks in through the door.
Although you have to wait for the food to be served for quite a while, the piping hot delicious food is worth it. I am yet to try a lot of the dishes on the menu but these would be my strong recommendations so far -
1) Chicken Biryani (a must-have)
2) Mini Lamb Combo (only served during lunch from Mon-Wed)
3) Dal Makhani
4) Pav Bhaji
5) Kheema Pav
6) Vegetable Kolhapuri
The restaurant owner is courteous and hence the overall service is prompt and pleasant. Hands down, this is the best homely food I've had in Sydney.

Lovely customer service, fresh food , neat and clean , quality of food as promised in the menu, worth the money, will definitely keep visiting this place back! Loved the flavour and the quick service.
