We arrived at Surrey Hills earlier than expected and the place we were going to have lunch at was still closed.
With 10 minutes to spare, I sat at a bench nearby as my partner wandered around. Next thing I knew, he came back with a Steak and Mushroom Pie from Wattle Park Cakes.
I warned him that he might ruin his appetite before lunch, but he defiantly started eating it and offered me a taste to which I hesitantly took. What started with a “I’ll just have one bite” ended up with a few mouthfuls more because it was that good! Talk about eating your own words.
Whilst being served, my partner observed a constant stream of patrons, several of whom came in for their pies which are made on premise, and as we walked by after lunch, I noticed a galore of other baked goodies on display. Too full by then to make another pit stop, it sure seems that I’ll have to leave this humble little bakery for another day.
OMG DIS BAKERY IS THE most tastiestrt thing ive ever tasted in my life sometimes i would stand outside the shop at 1:00am JUST SO I CAN GET THEIR FOOD FIRST LIKE OMG SOOO GOOOD 100% it helped my grandpa who was having cancer. RECCOMMEND THIS SHOP I FOLLOW THEM HOME SO I CAN SMELL THEIR BAKED GOODIES
The staff of this small and at-home bakery will welcome you warmly. Their pies and cakes are simple and good, I have been to this place many times. I like chocolate eclair and carrot cake here. If you go to this shop just before closing or on Saturdays, what you want might be sold out.
