Impressive, the faultless service was complemented by some excellent (different & vary tasty) food. I will make this my go to place when visiting Star City.

I feel like this place is a hidden gem, it's in a random location but always busy. The restaurant is set up in an old church which is quite different, and the service was lovely. We ordered the entree tasting plate for two and the diced beef with black pepper sauce.
Best dish: pepper beef - the meat was so soft and tasty!
The scallops were overly fishy tasting to me so I wouldn't order again, but I did enjoy the dumplings and beef pancakes a lot. Spring rolls are a bit bland. Overall a great experience though, I would come again

The restaurant is in an old church building and not easy to find but the food is amazing. nothing fancy but very well prepared and carefully constructed dishes. perfect pork dumplings, beef pancakes, fried rice, garlic shrimp. Wish I lived in Sydney so that i could visit regularly.

This place is situated behind an old church this outlet is very quite and comfortable for sitting . We tried chinese and some indian food out there and all I can say is that it is a must visit place for everyone because due to church near it this place is very quite and peoples who want to spend some lovable time can go there.

It doesn't look like there's a restaurant there when you start to get close to Blue Eye Dragon. You'll probably say something like "It's got to be here somewhere, but this is a church here!" Fear not, you are in fact in the right place. Blue Eye Dragon is inside what looks like a former church hall. They've done a nice job in decking it out, yet they've managed to keep the character of the former hall as well in a tasteful way. We'd seen their menu online and already decided that we were going to have our own version of Taiwanese Tapas, because there were so many tasty looking smaller dishes.

Extremely flavoursome food! The restaurant is actually situated in the back of an old church which I think is really funky. We bought their set menu options per head and we were very happy with the portion sizes and the quality of the food. Wine list is good but they don’t actually have spirits on their menu, you have to personally enquire and ask about them.

Overrated. Depends what you order, its a hit and miss. I've been there on three occasions. The presentation of the lobster is wow factory, but disappointed as it was over priced and tasteless. Impressive......., no not really.

Went there last night for my 25th birthday with friends. The atmosphere there is more suitable for date I think but I like it!
In terms of food, we have chosen 55 per head and tried the dishes recommended by the beautiful lady! A failure to choose all 6 entrees for deep fried but all taste nice. For the main, I love the stewed chicken with three cups sauce and beef steak!

Some restaurants fly quietly under the radar. I’m surprised to see it’s actually been more than five years since I last dined at Blue Eye Dragon. This is through no fault of the restaurant – which puts out interesting, well-executed Taiwanese food – I just only seem to remember it when I find myself starving in Pyrmont, and keen to avoid The Star. We popped through recently without a reservation, after the launch of a local bar left us hungry for more. With an understated exterior, even knowing this restaurant, it’s still hard repress a gasp when you open the doors into the cavernous church school hall dining room. It’s immediately apparent that this isn’t the usual Taiwanese fast-food outlet you might have become used to in Sydney – though they do that too, at Grain & Spice on Union Street. And with nary a whisper, the team from Blue Eye Dragon also opened Wu-Gu in Zetland last year. At that spot they are trotting out many of the same dishes as this original space, including Eye Fillet in House Black Pepper Sauce ($36). An exercise in extreme tenderness, these tasty hunks of eye fillet are...

Beautiful restaurant that is immaculate on the inside but totally unassuming of the outside. The food here is authentic Taiwanese with a high level of care and attention with all the dishes i had there. The atmosphere is crisp and fresh but with a sense of homely neighbourhood to it. The service is attentive and engaging. I highly recommend the Prawn omelette and the slow cooked pork belly. Get one of each dessert!

Delicious and perfect food. In house made dumplings are plump, fresh and so tasty and some of the best I've had. Don't forget to ask for the home made chilli. Service is polite and professional in a clean and comfy space. A weekly go to for our office. I can highly recommend.

We had dinner at this restaurant before going to a musical. The food was very delicious, especially the prawns & scallops. The ambience/ atmosphere was great, cozy and elegant. The mochi cake for dessert wasn’t as good as I thought, but overall loved the experience.

Sadly, I couldn’t take any photos of the great dinner experience. We ordered the shared entree, the rib eye and chicken with sprouts (I believe) as mains and it was all delicious. The waiters took really good care of us and made sure all went smoothly. 10/10 recommended and will definitely be going back.

Excellent authentic Taiwanese food! So glad we finally visited. Lovely service and attentive staff with a calming and relaxing environment. Highly recommend the banquet for 3 people and you must have the tender beef! Good food portions and be careful not to over order :) Will be back.

We dined with Muriel and the team again on Saturday 2/4 and, unsurprisingly, we were blown away again by the service, atmosphere and the food. We had the banquet and every dish that was served was fresh, with beautiful flavours. The meal was bountiful and the wine we chose was an equal match for the meal. This restaurant is highly recommended for any occasion - romantic, business or family celebration, all you have to do is book and be amazed.

We always love coming here and on a cold Tuesday night this week we were not disappointed. Warm and welcoming Muriel and her team are marvellous. All the food is delicious, the dumplings, crispy bean curd roll stuffed with chicken mince & water chestnuts are consistent favourites amongst many others, and of course always the pork belly. A new dish of braised cabbage with bacon bits was a hit too. Don't usually have room for dessert but this time winter appetites were able to fit in rice cakes and house made ice cream. So yummy and a good choice of reasonably priced wines. So lucky to have this restaurant in our 'hood. Tkyu Muriel, Lorraine & George.
