Great deserts, bold flavors and intriguing combinations... but is it value for money ?, that’s the million dollar question.
Although I really enjoyed their offerings, I probably won’t come back as $20 and up for a tiny cake is pretty steep
Just wonderful, We ordered the cake for mother's day. It did not disappoint, the whole family finished it. Not too sweet just right.
Dessert Magic by Reynold Poernomo, I wish that it was humanly possible to eat every single dessert option there in one sitting!
This place is really something, They know how to make good cakes and they charge it well. Always busy here, I remember one time I came here it was all sold out. Lucky this time I came early.
Strawberry pillow is my fave cake
I ate their T&Coconut, Baileys and some Mango cake..?
Their T&Coconut Cake is delicious, it's a mix of sweet kinda mousse on the outside and some crushed berries on the inside. The baileys cake taste awesome! It doesnt taste too sweet which I like.
🍽 DISHES SAMPLED
⭕️ TIRAMISU & GREEN TEA MATCHA | The jar desserts and tarts are the best that @koidb has to offer. Despite the steep pricing that has increased since the store has opened, I believe that they are well worth the price for an occasional treat to spoil yourself with. They are mouthwatering, delicious and just an amazing blend of flavour. They definitely live up to Reynold’s title as ‘Dessert King’ from master chef. ⠀⠀
The spherical desserts on the other hand, leave much to be desired. They are far too sweet and overwhelming in its richness, that I find it difficult to eat anything more than a few bites. ⠀⠀
❌ 5 COURSE MEAL DEGUSTATION & DESSERT | Very pricy, and honestly not worth the try. I found it mediocre at best and definitely wouldn’t have it again. The portions were VERY small, average and their only positive aspect was the presentation. Some of the dishes were better than others (the wagyu/duck were very good) but it was not enough to justify the price as the other dishes from the degustation were nowhere near as tasty.

I love their dessert. It's not crazy sweet. Have a refined taste. I love their ambience. This time I tried their dessert menu. Totally recommended. I did write up on it. Check it out in detailed https://www.choonieats.com/post/jom-makan-makan-choonie-eats-koi
Not as magical as I expected. Not bad though.
KOI is my favourite place to take visitors to Sydney! It never disappoints. I shared "the secret garden" with my friend. It was sooooo tasty! The texture was varied, the flavours very well balanced. My favourite part was the small popping candy bits which were such a surprise. THIS IS THE BEST DESSERT PLACE IN SYDNEY.
