We ordered a bunch of vegetables and of course - noodles at this restaurant. Everything was fresh and delicious. The noodles were light and fragrant whereas the veges were perfectly cooked and still crunchy.
Get around this place in a hurry!! Great portions, flavourful and packing heat. Great for a cold night (and any other time)! Would be recommending their hand-cut noodles and pork and chive dumplings.
Massive portion Chinese cuisine located in Sussex Street, we had a possitive experience dining in this restaurant. The place is old and it looks outdated but don't be fooled by it's cover. The food was pretty good, specially the hand noodles. They made a lot of effort with the dish, we were supprised of how big the portion of the food. I couldn't finished my noodles. But we finished the other food (dumplings and chives pancakes). The place is affordable, we paid less than 60 dollars for 4 dishes with beer and tea.
Would recommend for lunch or late lunch, just a warning the portion is huge.
Cheap, tasty and friendly staff. What more could you ask for. Their portions are quite big therefore between two people we shared a main and some dumpling. The pork and chive dumplings and anything with their homemade noodles are to die for. Would come here again and again. Cost under 30 to eat here for two for dinner. I was impressed
Actual rating 3.5/5
We ordered all their dumplings of which all flavours were quite enjoyable, and a noodle soup dish. Prices were decent and service was average for a Chinese restaurant.
This was one of the stops during a Taste of Chinatown tour I attended, and what a revelation - we had lamb dumplings and chicken noodles and both were fabulous. The guide says they do the best northern Chinese dumplings in Chinatown. I didn't get to check out the menu but I'm told they also do lamb skewers with cumin, so I'm definitely going back.
Good Chinese restaurant with a variety of items to choose from. Had 3 different types of dumplings- all tasty- as well as Chinese broccoli. Prices reasonable, and BYO wine allowed.
Price: Average
Portion: 5/5
Service: Decent, I went for late dinner (not many people), waiters/waitresses are ESL so best to be patient and speak more clearly when ordering
Hand-made Dumpling (Fried - Pork & Chives) - 4/5 - Perfectly fried and skin not too thick/thin, cheap and great portion. Could have had more juice/soup inside the dumpling
Spicy Chicken - 4.5/5 - Great with 2 options boneless or on-the-bone, great taste and actually spicy. A bit on the higher end of price for a chicken dish
Tea is included with your meal :)

CHEAP AND CHEERFUL. I am a massive fan of hand made noodles and dumplings. So I was very happy when we were heading to Noodle King as one of the venues as part of the Taste Food Tour.I hadn't been to Noodle King before however I have eaten a lot of hand made noodles and dumplings in Chinatown. So I was eager to try out a new venue.
Cheap Chinese cuisine and well done. Their noodles (which they have lots of choices of) and dumpling dishes (similarly quite a bit of choice) are their specialty.
Best ever Chinese cuisine you will find in the town. Just try to be there a bit early because its always busy. The mutton ribs is must try and its comes with so much spices. You will be licking your finger. The dumplings are best as well.
If you want to go with your family, book the table before you go.
I have posted the dumplings and ribs photos down.
A delicious, yet unassuming eatery on Sussex Street, in the middle of busy Chinatown. It should be noted that the prices in the window are a little higher, and haven’t been changed in some time, but the food is delicious, and the quality is consistently high. Furthermore, at the time of writing, the restaurant also offers a 5% discount for Cash Payment, something to keep in mind when coming in for some noodles or dumplings.
Better dumplings in Sydney you will not get. The food is brilliant and the service is quick and efficient. The noodles are hand made you can see in the kitchen and are delicious.
It is a little rough and ready but it is quick, great value, and delicious. You can also take frozen dumplings home.
This was the loudest dining experience I've ever had. Bring your BFFs and yell at them! Many things were unavailable but it wasn't hard to find something delicious. The fresh dumplings were perfect and a plate of stir fried beans has never been so appetising. It was also my first experience of rice whisky, which was on key with the meal.
Possibly the most fun I've had dining ever.
Really enjoyed having dinner here. The place looks a bit messy but you can be comfortable. There is no AC but there was a Fan but they didn't operated it😅
I suggest you should visit this place.
I didn't feel it is expensive.
I had a great stir fried pancake noodles with beef with very generous portions. The prices are very affordable too, being around $15 for a meal. My only gripe was that when I ate here, pretty much half of the menu was marked as "N/A" even though it was peak dinner hour on Friday, which really limited my choices.
Overall, keen to come back to try out more things hopefully with more of the menu options being available.
Really great food. Very affordable. Definitely recommend. Slightly disappointed the xiao long bao was not available.
