The place is beautiful and the location is ideal. Right in world square CBD . It’s quite a big spot, clean, and the service is quick / very friendly.
They have pub meals with good flavour and the serving size is generous.
The cocktails are fun and original . Beers are quite good so it’s worth to give this place a go.
I would come with a big group of friends as it’s quite spacious.
We ordered the pork belly bites and the pumpkin as sides / entrees .
The mains were the lamb shank (a bit dry but quite a large one so it was ok with the sauce ) baked salmon (good) and gnocchis (these were delicious) .

This place seemed great for a late night drink with pleasant atmosphere. The place was busy and the staff were efficient and organised, but it would have been a better experience if they were friendlier. The drinks were great and presented beautifully.
First up, if you enjoy cider... then you should definitely come here. I really love the range! Good selection of beers too. The food menu isn't expansive, but some really nice items which are certainly more upscale than your average bar food. We really loved the pizzas which were brought out to us pretty quickly! The live music was average, and the music videos playing were an odd combo with the live music. But hey, I love it when local artists are on showcase.
Friendly eatery that has a nice balance between classic pub and modern bar. Food is decent as expected and live music is a definite plus, considering it's dying out in the CBD.
As the residential bar at The Rydges whilst visiting Sydney, The Cidery was my 'go to' before heading out. What I liked most about The Cidery is the great range of ciders on tap. I'm not much of a beer guy so this was a welcome change. The decor inside is industrial styled with naked light bulbs and extremely comfortable leather wing back chairs. Next time I'm in Sydney, whether I stay at the Rydges next or not, I will be back to The Cidery for sure.
This is a little bar in the Rydges World Square serving small tapas and drinks, including cocktails and whisky paddles. It is a dark atmosphere, booths and bar tables, quite modern and a DJ playing there. It was quite busy for a Tuesday and I just got an aperol spritz whilst waiting for friends. The bar man hadn't made one in a while, but it was good! Staff were lovely too.
Completely affordable prices for decently sized drinks ( around $7 each)! You'll find friendly staff and a great place for conversations as it is not too loud, but best of all - you'll find possibly the most comfortable couches of all time! Would come here again anytime!

Thursday + Pizza = win win. The pizzas are excellent, better than anything within walking distance, and well worth the $17 price. But on Thursday you can get a great pizza with a beer for $12. Inside seating is primarily lounge and sofa, not great for dining. Outside seating has a good number of tables, which is okay on a mild evening.

A MUST GO!. The Cidery is located in the Rydges World Square overlooking the buzzy shopping piazza, and pays long-overdue respect to the beverage with a number of menu items specifically included on the menu to complement the ciders available.
The bar and eatery offers a selection of ciders, particularly from Australian small producers, with the flagship cider, Sydney Cider, produced in house, by Sydney Brewery in the basement of the Rydges Hotel.
The cider has been specifically designed to reflect the Sydney environment and lifestyle. Made from freshly crushed apples lovingly fermented with champagne yeast, a light carbonation is added to give the big apple flavour some Sydney ‘pizzazz’, with “the crisp, clean finish is as refreshing as a southerly buster at the end of a summer’s day”.
The Sydney Brewery and Rydges teams came up with the concept to create a contemporary urban style craft bar located in central Sydney ideal for informal dining and relaxed get togethers.
The Cidery bar team and chefs have developed a selection of cocktails and food dishes to complement the craft bar concept, with dishes such as traditional English pork & cider pot pie and ‘Chicken Nicoise’ salad pairing particularly well with Sydney Cider.
Even cuisines such as Italian – which are not traditionally cider-friendly – have been experimented with to provide options for cider lovers, with a white based wood fired pizza with duck and camembert proving to be very good friends with the range of ciders.
In addition to cider, The Cidery also features a range of craft beers produced by Sydney Brewery that celebrates the great city of Sydney with labels, such as ‘Paddo Ale’, ‘Glamarama’ & ‘Surry Hills pilsner’. Premium wines are also available.

Beers are from my favorite brewer Sydney brewery. Try cider 🍺 it’s very clean and it’s between sweet and dry. They do happy house 5-7pm and it was maybe about $6-8 schooner and pint :) I’ve been there at least 3 times over the Christmas holiday.
This place is amazing I'm a regular here awesome range of drinks and not too pricey haven't tried the food but I heard it's amazing a must visit if in town
The place has an amazing vibe and a wonderful ambience for the perfect Fri evening. The crowd is really good and the staff is lovely.
Best vibe. Live music was so awesome seriously made it. The food was exceptional we ordered the Korean fried chicken bites which were amazing in flavour and spicy at $16 and the glased crispy port belly bites $16 both dishes were so yummy! beer selection was great. Very happy would recommend. Staff were amazing . Great place great vibes. It's a Hidden gem
Loved this place. Happy staff and WARM!! It’s winter and usually very cold in venues. But this one was a perfect temperature.
