Absolutely love the piping hot custard puffs here and they’ve super affordable despite having increased the price over the years. As there are always people lining up to get them, they’re always freshly made. They only have on service counter so the wait can be long.
Consistently good Cantonese bakery, we still return despite living further away now, the best we've found in Sydney!
Where I go to satisfy my egg tart cravings, other stuffs worth trying include the bite size custard puffs, also the yum cha restaurant next door is still very good value for money by Sydney standards
The cream puffs are such a classic (15 for $15). The egg tarts are so flaky as well!
Hole in the wall. Literally. But serves really hot custamrd buns or cream puffs as they'd call it here. Mildy sweet and really easy on the tummy, these hot custard filled buns are a delight! Don't expect gourmet and savor the cheap fillings of China Town. Great job guys.
The Emperor has a big army of followers, and there are good reasons why people are so addicted to the Emperor's Cream Puff. It's soft, slightly crispy, sweet, creamy and super cheap. The only nasty part is lining up, but it's worth the wait. I give the cream puff 4 bears.
Best cream puffs in Sydney, always fresh and hot - be careful of burning your mouth. Well worth the wait. Always a staple if you happen to be walking through Chinatown.
Cheap, easy to find little dessert just at the corner of chinatown. Although sometimes there will be long line for waiting, but it is really worth for the waiting
There was a huge line when we came here to buy some of the cream puffs. We bought a whole box of them since they seemed so popular. The actual cream puff was delicious and warm - freshly cooked. The pastry was soft and melted in your mouth.
This little hole in the wall makes the best cream puffs! $5 for a box of 15, how could you go wrong. Best eaten when hot but becareful the custard does get very hot and may burn your tongue. The batter of the puff itself mixed with the custard, just yum!
Emperor's Puffs! You can go inside for a great meal, but if you feel like munching on good creamy puffs, you won't be disappointed. Just look outside, there is a hole in the wall, usually with a long waiting line. Worths the wait !
Old school yum cha. Been coming here for years. Always popular amongst the local Asians. We had lots like 10 different things the bill came to $100 for two people.
Service is amazing, the staff are so warm and welcoming!
The food was subpar for the price, the most enjoyable dish was the egg tarts and cheong fun (rice noodle)
There is always a line for the puffs. The texture and everything was nice, but it just wasn’t my thing. You still have to stop by and try. It’s very cheap.
