Sandwiches are the main thing during these troubles and I could not fault the ingredients, with great bread and cheese and salami and such a tasty sandwich overall, although they really skimped on the fillings. Much worse than Continental Deli's skimping but it was a bit cheaper so just about worth it. The albondigas were even better - you could taste the mint and sweet Mexican flavour (I would have liked some chilli but it was still a unique flavour) and even the mash it was on was a cut above, however, they went heavy on the mash with just 5 small meatballs and only a small amount of the tomato sauce. Great food though, better food and also better value than I got from their sister Porteño.
As of the past couple of years, we have booked to go to a nice restaurant on New Year’s Eve, rather than face the multitudes of crowds in Sydney Harbour. We did a little research and found a dinner menu at an amazing price at Bodega 1094, in the Tramsheds facility in Glebe. Tramsheds is a large dining facility in an industrial building, the former Rozelle tram building. One of the numerous restaurants is Bodega, 1904. This restaurant and wine store has been brought to us by the team at Porteno and Bodega.
The food here wasn't too bad.
Service was pretty good.
Wait time wasn't too bad and the small amount of space it has to seat customers is quite funky.
The house made drinks were different from what I had expected but in a good way.
Serving sizes were quite small but just enough to not tip you over the edge.
Such a funky joint to have brunch/lunch in! Their menu are mainly tapas/share plates and are absolutely delicious! Argentinian / latin American inspired meals, their wine list is also a hit with its Australian & Argentinean selection. I highly recommend the duck liver patê. Just amazing! (Oh , and there glass of Malbec too 😉)
Came here for breakfast and was not disappointed. The menu was reasonably priced, and the food & coffee were exceptional. The service was top notch as well. Highly recommend the Smoked Ocean Trout for breakfast!
Came here with my girlfriend for a Saturday night dinner, really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. staff were accommodating and attentive. prices are what would be expected at the tramsheds. fresh oysters, the lamb was incredibly tasty. the dessert pudding would have been better without the green sour veg on top.
Had a great time at Bodega 1904. The food was great. We had a variety of things and all were delicious. Loved the paua fritter sandwich. The wait staff were so knowledgable, friendly, helpful and patient. Would definitely return
Had desert wine and a plate of bonito pate to share, which had duck egg and anchovies on top. Ordered some bread to eat with it. I think the wine was nice and food was decent. Good service and good vibe.
Delicious Spanish tapas, friendly staff, great service and awesome cocktails and wine list. Perfect for date nights and catch up with friends!
Delicious food and fantastic service. The slow cooked lamb with polenta was amazing. So was the radicchio salad. Plates were a tad on the small side considering they're to be shared.
Never been a fan of Mexican, but this place was exceptional !
Food was fun and exciting. Flavours were simple, but perfectly executed.
Great service, great wine, but the food portions could be a bit bigger. At $8 each for the tacos I expected a bit more. The chicken dish was amazing though, and so was the corn.
Delicious guacamole with chips. Nice and unique tacos. They were appetisers. Excellent customer service with friendly staff.
Fantastic meal full of exciting Mexican dishes and fun cocktails.
Everything was tasty and inspired. Our favourite was the ceviche followed closely by the chicken tacos.
The service was exceptional with our hosts never missing a beat.
The price was a littler higher than your average high-end Mexican cantina however this isn’t your average Mexican venue.
We’ll be back!
Beautiful space. We found the staff working at the restaurant very friendly and attentive. The food came out quite quickly which was great coz we were starving! The food is really good and the portion size is good too. I found my Spanish eggs quite tasty and would have it again. A great place for a meal
Went here for a work lunch meeting mid week. Delicious Mexican food. I had the guacamole and corn chips, mushroom taco and cactus tostada and thought they were all very fresh and nicely presented. Service was prompt and friendly.
What a little gem. One of the best Mexican restaurants we have been to for a while. The taco's are a wonderful, flavoursome treat. Definitely a stop to be made next time you're at the Tramsheds
