I love this Bar!
The wine is always well chosen.
The unsung hero is the food, very appreciated by my French husband.
Dessert after a night out or a romantic paced dinner for two.
Today the Tartiflette! Yum!
Walking through the back streets looking for a pre-dinner drink and stumbled through the front door. Warmly welcomed and sat by the fire we had a stunning glass of Breton rose picked from the choice of two tastings offered. Will be back to try the menu. D
My friend and I love roses! So when I heard about this restaurant, I had to book it to celebrate my birthday! We were early on this Saturday night but the restaurant got busy.
We started with their Rose tasting which gives you four tasting for $25. This gave us the opportunity to try a few different varieties. In terms of food, we shared their winter special menu soufflé, prawns and foie gras on toast and beef cheeks. We both agreed that everything tasted good except their soufflé which I personally have had better at other French restaurants. It would be nice if it gave out warm/hot as it was lukewarm to cool. It didn’t have the lightness of a soufflé either.
To end our dinner we had to try their signature cake which they brought out with a candle and sparklers! Lovely touch as the staff were lovely especially the guy who told us it would be his last night as he was just helping out the owners. He was wonderful and had lovely wine suggestions. His favourite Robert Stein rose ended up being our favourite when paired with the beef cheeks! Thank you for a great night. I will definitely be back!
Such a fabulous place for a good night out. Decor, quaint but sophisticated. Service, friendly and so helpful. Food, delicious and cooked perfectly and if anything the dessert was an absolute must !!!!! The whole theme of the restaurant/Bar, was based on Rose’ wine. So if u love a good glass of rose’ or anything with Rose’ in it this is the place for u. Amazing concept and well worth visiting!!!
Wow - It's two days since I came here with a friend and I'm already trying to find an excuse to come back! This little gem is a quick walk from Kings Cross Station in a beautiful old terrace house. On walking in I was greeted enthusiastically by name by the waiter who must have known my name from the booking (either that or he truly was "psychotic" as he joked with us later that night!). I ordered their signature cocktail, and the waiter used his powers to pick a cocktail for my friend - a beautiful drink with Persian fairy floss. I was so jealous that this was my next drink. Both cocktails were amazing, and we instantly trusted the waiter to make all our decisions for the night. We started with the Plateau de la Mer, then moved on to the Salad of Hearts, Salmon Terrine, and the Beef Cheeks Pot. With the 30+ rose on offer, I used the menu to guide me on the wine pairing for each dish. It was incredible, and I honestly couldn't fault a thing. We finished with their beautiful signature cake and the crepes. I was worried as most places that have amazing mains are let down by their desserts, but these were just as delicious - if not better - then the savoury dishes we enjoyed so much. I was also impressed to see they had an ice wine on the menu (I've been dying to try one). I would highly recommend giving this a go.
I also must make mention of how lovely the other patrons were. I rarely speak to strangers in restaurants, however the warm atmosphere created by the staff meant we all felt at home and were chatting amongst tables throughout the night as if we had known each other for years. It honestly felt like we were sitting in a friends courtyard having an amazing meal cooked with love.
I can't wait to come back. Thanks for the great night!
great service, decor, very knowledgeable owners. So many Roses to try and they pair well with the selection of food, which is fantastic. better in smallish groups or date night. highly recommend.
Such a perfect Sunday! Excellent food, wine and service. I will definitely return. Decadent yet comfortable. The crepe is to die for!! And the caviar butter? Wow!!!
I absolutely love this place! The selection of ROSE is fantastic and the fitout is something out of Versailles. The customer service is highly attentive and super friendly. If you love rose then this is the place for you to visit. I have also eaten here and i can highly recommend the Pâté Aux Pommes De Terre and the beef cheek pots!
What a hidden treasure! Not only does this venue have amazing decor, you might be lucky enough to be served by the most awesome french Guy! He was so passionate and twists your arm to make sure you try the best wines and cheeses. Sitting outside was so charming with fairy lights and beautiful chandeliers hanging from the tree. I’d definitely come back for dinner - we had such a nice time!
If you love rosé and you love French food, you absolutely have to visit this place. The staff are beyond friendly, super accommodating and are so knowledgeable about everything on the menu, all you need to do is tell them what you like to drink and they will find you a perfect rosé. The food is all delicious and of course has a rosé twist on some classics, you have to start with the fresh baguette with rosé butter. I'm looking forward to visiting again!
J’adore Rosé Royal!
Principally à Rosé wine bar, Jerome serves fabulous authentic French cuisine.
My French partner loves the food and the wine!
We had the lunch special and it was absolutely superb! Great atmosphere, great staff, food and rosé on point!
My mother and I visited Rosé Royale for a few drinks and light lunch while in Sydney. The range of Rosé on the menu was great, my favourite was definitely the Babydoll sparkline rosé.
We shared the vegetarian platter and the dessert special which was a pineapple carpaccio, both tasted great.
Amazing amazing amazing experience. The owner was so welcoming and shares his love of rose to every guest. It's almost like being in his home.
Absolutely amazing place. We were served with all the friendliness of the world by the owner and one of the waiters, and their food was simply delicious from the start to the end.
As the name of the restaurant already says, they use rosé wine on everything, and incredibly the menu is extensively amazing.
Oh and finally, the use of knifes is not needed as the meat is so tender!
