Great little Asian restaurant in Newtown. Service is always friendly and the food tastes great. Varied menu, lively atmosphere, clean and modern decor.
YUMMMMM Love this place. they have a vegan menu which is great. I've had the thukpa (noodle soup) momos, chow mein and the cucumber salad and absolutely loved every bite of everything. decently priced too.
Little Momo has Amazing food and Great service. We had momos, chowmein, squid, teriyaki beef and juices. Very good and beautiful food presentations, and all food were really tasty too. You must order momos! Love them a lots! The best restaurant experience in Sydney.

Momos are the dumpling kings of Nepalese food, distantly related to gyoza, mandoo and baozi. Little Momo in Newtown serves them up big and small, steamed or fried, meat or veg, sweet and savoury. Just how many you want to eat is up to you.It's a cold, rainy day and the rivers of storm water are flowing down the gutters of King St. We don't feel like straying far from B-Kyu headquarters so a quick brisk stroll up the road has us seeking out some comfort food. Little Momo has been tucked in behind our thinking beanies as a stand by for just this emergency.
Nepalese dumplings ninja!
These hand made dumplings were filled with heaps of filings, a variety of protien for us to select along with the style for it to be cooked.
My favourite was the "Big momo" chicken filled dumpling with a thick sweet and spicy sauce with assorted veggies. The flavours are more like chinese but i assumed thats where the fusion comes in. As for the dumplings it was moist and flavourful. Located on the main street about 5min walk from the train station.

Great ambiance and a very pretty interior.
The food is excellent and reasonably priced. My husband and I are hungry people, and we split two plates of dumplings (steamed prawn, pan-fried duck) and one order of salmon on noodles. Very satisfying.
I'm also a tea lover, and I definitely recommend the Kyoto Cherry Rose sencha.
Love this place - really pleasant surprise for takeaway dumplings! Shame they don't deliver. Dumplings taste fresh and light and are very very tasty.
Little Momo is well worth trying! It doesn't look anything exciting from outside, but I've gotten take away from there several times, and it is yummy! I particularly like their fried rice, and their stir fry veg and their green beans with mince. It always tastes very fresh, and the service is very friendly. I live a block away, and glad of it!

The restaurant is nice and cozy. The food was delicious, Very nice and friendly staffs. This restaurant is not like a traditional nepalese restaurant but the menu didn’t disappoint us. We tried most of the food from the menu, the Thukpa was the highlight of our meal. The drinks were very refreshing. We also tried chocolate dumplings for the first time and it was Yum!
If you are around Newtown, you should visit this restaurant.

First time eating here. We didn't have a reservation. Lots of seats left. Food was delicious and the service was fantastic too. Best Momos I've eaten in Sydney. You can choose the way you want your Momos prepared too which is nice. They cleared the plates quickly after we finished and remembered we ordered dessert unlike other restaurants where we had to pester the employees for our dessert. Food was really affordable which was also a bonus. I'm looking forward to eating here again.
2 years later: Food and service is still on point. Will be coming back more before or after events.

I ordered the green beans with mince and the chicken soup with pork Momo's (via uber eats). After reading the reviews here, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it all was! It tasted fresh, as if it was home made. Everything had lots of flavour. Super tasty. Decent serving sizes. Just what I was hoping for. I'll definitely be ordering from Little Momo again.
Friendly staff and food is good. Was a bit confused in the beginning because I wasn’t quite sure what type of Asian food it is. After ordering I realised it’s more of a mix of Asian food with a bit of western influence. Quite enjoyed their fried rice which was quite different from the usual drying type of fried rice. The portions are good size too so it’s not a back restaurant to go eat in Newtown
I tasted the best sweet potato salad, lotus root chips and most tender and flavoursome salmon chow mein ever at Little Momo's in Newtown. The fish dumplings were not bad, and the service was great. They're fully licensed, so we enjoyes the very pleasant ambience while drinking rosé Our group had a lovely time and can't wait to go back to try other dishes.
I'm VERY impressed with this place! Great food, great service and a great vibe too (though their Covid app is a little temperamental). They have meat, vegetarian and vegan option plus a small but comprehensive drinks menu (also byo wine if you choose). I highly recommend and will be back asap!! 😁
