Easy, simple and delicious meal. There were 8 of us looking for food after the National Art School post-grad show opening, and they had no problems in sitting us down and taking our orders. One of our party ably ordered various plates: agedashi tofu, gyoza, sushi rolls, edamame. Can't complain about any of the dishes. Two of the beers weren't cold enough but when asked were replaced right away. For casual and quick eating, this was a cut above the restaurants over on Oxford Street, and if you've got a craving for Japanese food, this will hit the spot.
Okay but not amazing. Was really looking forward to the Teryaki Salmon but 10 min after taking our order I was informed it was no longer available. As has been my experience with other Japanese places there is no flexibility to change any dishes either. Nothing remarkable.
Had a quick bit to eat here the other night. I am a bit of an eggplant connoisseur and their baked half eggplant with miso was pretty good. Edamame was also very fresh and tasty. If I could fault them though, they served a long grain Chinese rice instead of Japanese variety rice. There is a big different and if you have had the Japanese rice before, you know instantly when you're not getting the real deal.
